In
July
2021,
I
arrived
at
Maple
Grove
Hospital
to
deliver
my
daughter.
I
was
scheduled
to
be
induced
in
a
few
days
but
she
decided
to
come
on
her
own
(luckily).
She
was
born
at
39
weeks.
Upon
being
admitted,
I
was
asked
to
provide
a
urine
sample.
I
was
later
told
that
DR.
TARYN
MCEVOY
ordered
a
drug
test
on
me
WITHOUT
my
knowledge
or
consent.
This
was
supposedly
done
because
of
what
they
considered
“insufficient”
pre-natal
care
though
I
had
been
going
to
my
weekly
appointments
leading
up
to
my
delivery.
Prior
to
those
appointments
I
had
monthly
appointments
with
Maternal
Fetal
Medicine
at
Maple
Grove
hospital
because
my
previous
pregnancy
has
serious
complications.
Once
MFM
determined
that
my
daughter
was
healthy
and
not
going
to
have
the
same
complications
as
my
last
pregnancy,
they
released
me
to
go
back
to
Oakdale
OBGYN.
So
effectively,
my
prenatal
care
with
MFM
was
better
than
with
Oakdale
OBGYN.
My
prenatal
appointments
with
Oakdale
OBGYN
literally
consisted
of
a
blood
pressure
and
weight
check,
and
the
doctors
there
telling
me
that
I
was
huge
and
going
to
have
a
giant
baby
that
I
would
not
be
able
to
deliver.
*I
will
say
here
that
the
midwives
and
nurses
at
Oakdale
are
awesome,
but
I
have
met
with
a
number
of
doctors
there
and
each
one
was
awful*
Ordering
a
drug
test
on
a
pregnant
mother
during
delivery
without
sufficient
cause
is
ILLEGAL.
My
daughter
was
not
born
pre-mature,
I
did
not
arrive
at
the
hospital
under
any
kind
of
influence
or
duress.
There
was
no
cause
or
reason
to
have
run
a
drug
test
on
me,
WITHOUT
my
permission,
WITHOUT
my
knowledge.
My
delivery
was
easy
and
fast.
My
daughter
was
healthy.
I
will
never
see
another
doctor
at
Oakdale
OBGYN.
The
only
reason
I
am
giving
a
even
3
stars
is
literally
because
Wendy
and
the
Midwives
are
literally
the
BEST.
But
steer
clear
of
McEvoy,
Martinie,
and
Hallstrom.
