Incredibly kind staff. Great breakfast. Beautiful spacious rooms. My daughter is receiving chemotherapy at the U and it is the perfect location. Takes only roughly 5 minutes to get to the hospital. I suggest the Cajun seafood place just down the street. Their gumbo is amazing!

Very clean hotel, incredibly friendly staff who was willing to answer our questions about the area. The hotel itself smelled incredibly clean, the breakfast had a great variety and tastes great. The parking and overflow parking were very cool convenient. This hotel is well worth what you pay. We had a great trip to Minneapolis because of our stay here. Everyone was super friendly and we never ran into a single issue....and we get picky when it comes to our hotel stays.

The people and accommodations were phenomenal! Everything felt right - clean, welcoming, and safe. Be aware that there's an extra charge to park on-site, which is a bummer and adds up during an already-expensive stay. Overall, it was outstanding!

My mom was staying in the hospital unexpectedly and we had trouble finding an affordable hotel. The lady at the front desk was very kind and good at her job. She found us a nice room for a price we couldn’t get anywhere else and we really appreciate it. She had curly hair and was wearing a floral shirt and deserves a raise

Have recommended Hampton Inn to friends that would visit, since it was just a few blocks from where live. I've walked, driven by a million times and now finally stayed in preparation for moving out of town. This place absolutely great. Had a suite room which spacious, comfortable, well laid out, clean and everything else good. I forgot to mention I thought the nightly rates were a very good deal compared to others in the area. They have a great breakfast included. The kitchen staff works hard to make sure all the food is stocked, hot, tastes good, and also very friendly. They do a great job and take pride in what they do . The rest of the staff also was extremely helpful, pleasant, and eager to please. Thank you! I will definitely keep recommending this Hampton Inn, and hopefully have a chance to visit again.

Staff is AMAZING. From the front desk to the shuttle service (not only will they offer you a ride to the clinic - when you need it - they will also take you to a restaurant so you don't have to drive!) Special shout out to Marquez who noticed the first place he took us was closed - he then drove us to several other places until we found one that worked AND he picked us up - with a fabulous attitude throughout. The hotel is absolutely clean and feels safe. I absolutely recommend this hotel

We had a very good experience here a few times now. Rooms are nice, although I hate the bathroom doors (they are sliding doors) they are hard to close or definitely need some grease. The rooms also didn't have a place to sit other than the bed or an office chair I almost flipped over when sitting down. Parking is tight but convenient and close. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Linda, thank you for being so nice and helpful.

I had such a great 5 night stay. The room was quiet and clean. The staff were very helpful. The pool is not huge, but certainly big enough to have lots of fun. The building shares a rooftop patio that provide a great place to relax. Breakfast was acceptable (with the exception of some strange eggs), but overly impressive. It's proximity to campus makes it great choice for those that don't mind a walking exploration. There are also some great places to eat nearby. I would definitely pick this spot again!

This stay was beyond excellent; made that way by the extremely genial staff. The location was perfect for our needs also. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only small thing that was a negative is that non of the USB ports were operable. That was easily solved by bringing in our own chargers for our devices. I can't wait to go back in the nicer weather to try out the rooftop bar.

So technically I stayed at the Home2 hotel but the front desk was closed and I had the Hampton employees so I'm leaving the review on here. I hope this message gets to the manager because these 2 employees need to be recognized for their service. I was checked in by Justin and he was just super friendly and wonderful to interact with (actually quite rare at the hotels here). It was Thanksgiving but came up for my sons birthday. He tried so hard to let me know a place I could get food since everything was closed. Later in the night I went down to the store and was telling Cynthia (the other front desk worker) about my frustrating night with finding food and what not. Justin overheard and told my daughter and I to get something from the store on him. I was almost in tears after having the night I had and his hospitality was incredible. They both were just so friendly even though they were both working the holiday. I have stayed in many hotels and have found that my best experiences are at Hamptons or home2s but this one just topped them. My room was spacious and clean and just really enjoyed my stay. Minus the $22 parking lol but having employees like that made it almost worth it.

Every employee I encountered seemed to really enjoy working there. This doesn't always happen! The front desk was super willing to stop and help when they noticed any hesitation near the desk. The woman working F&B every morning was always smiling and seemed to really want for everyone to have a great day. LOVED THE LAUNDRY ROOM AMENITY! The room was clean and well thought out. 5 minute walk to campus - perfect for me in every way

Staff was friendly (shout out ro Hayley at check in) and knowledgeable. Great location to the Metro green line a block over as we used it to go to US Bank Stadium (only 4 stops/10 minute ride for $2). Area seemed OK as well and I liked needing a card to get through the front doors. Check out Surly Brewing and the Food Hall nearby. Loved that the hotel has a parking lot and charges nightly not daily. Rooms were clean and spacious. We would come back.

walkable half mile from the university. it's a week maintained, although somewhat older "new" hotel in the area. the furnishings seem rather new, although the carpet seems well used. an actual breakfast with very attentive staff. everyone was really nice. Abagail (? horrible with names), Haley and Justin were lots of help. and everything worked well. parking was limited on the property, but there was a secondary lot, where there were more than enough spaces. I'll keep it on my list to return to when I visit again.

Wonderful, kind, and helpful staff. Very clean hotel. Person who prepared breakfast was helpful to what I can eat with my dietary restrictions. Beautiful lobby and rooms. Fridge included with our room. (shockingly, this is not standard nowadays!) Seemed like a safe area too. I don't sleep the best on down pillows, but some people might. If you're like me, you may want to bring your own pillow, but everything else was absolutely amazing.

Our entire stay was excellent because of friendliness of staff, cleanliness, shuttle and location. Everything from booking the room to checkout was great!

This was one of our best hotel stays ever! The room was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and comfortable. We had the option of parking in the underground parking garage for added security; we highly recommend this option if you stay in the University area Hampton, whereas the garage was clean, convenient, and very secure. Parking is $22.00 per night, but the cost is worth the added layer of security (in the garage). Beds and pillows were comfy, great water pressure in the shower, and plenty of countertop space in the bathroom and in the room for organizing our items. The free breakfast was a bonus, offering eggs/omelets, sausage, fresh fruit, waffles, toast, a variety of juices, coffee, etc.; plenty of options for everyone. There’s a hidden gem with ~10 different eating concepts located about 2 blocks from the hotel called The Market at Malcolm Yards. We ate here multiple times during our 3 day stay, whereas it was a quick walk from the hotel and offered something to satisfy everyone (burgers, Asian food, variety of pasta, pizza, Mexican food, self-serve beer, ice cream, vegan options, etc.). As a side note, we found out the hard way that it’s best to spend a few extra dollars to take an Uber or Lyft rather than using the light rain/bus transit system to get to tourist attractions. After a scary experience, we learned the light rail in Minneapolis is the most dangerous in the country. (We had a car on this trip, but it was tricky finding parking in the city, so we utilized Uber which was super convenient. There was always an Uber driver within 3-10 minutes from our location.) If ever in Minneapolis again, we’ll definitely book another room at the Hampton!

Staff is amazing and accommodating. My room is clean and the HVAC is easy to control. Place is full of young folks (high school) for a convention but not noisy at all. The bar should have a better menu and be open later. Limited food options in area if you arrive late.

We arrived for a two day stay. Our first impression was the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well kept. We had to have an ADA accessible room with a roll in shower. The room was large compared to others that we have stayed in, it had plenty of clear space to move around with a wheelchair. There were 2 Queen size beds and a large bathroom with a sliding door. The sliding bathroom door made it very easy to maneuver from the living space to the bathroom. Other places we’ve stayed that had swing out doors made it a little more challenging to transition from one room to the other so the sliding door was a great plus. The roll in shower had a folding bench that was sturdy and plenty of grab bars for stability. The shower accessories were easy to reach and use. The hotel offered a nice complimentary breakfast from 6-10 am in the mornings. They have a free shuttle services that runs about every 30 minutes. If you are staying in the area a would definitely give this hotel a try.

This is my go to when visiting the university area. Staff always goes above and beyond, always cheerful and willing to help. Rooms and facilities are clean, beds are comfortable and it's within walking distance to a few pretty good restaurants. During multiple stays in the winter the people shoveling the snow even went above and beyond to clear the snow off my car and clean out my windshield wipers. Only gripe is the lack of free parking

Great location, friendly staff, clean, well equipped gym. Loved my one week stay here. I would highly recommend it

I was there to show my son around. They were nice enough to let us see the rooms, which was very nice. The restaurant there had some good food and they public bathrooms was very clean and smelled very good.

The stay was great, but they shouldn't charge for parking for a lot that's outside. Wanted a later check out but was only giving a hour.

Nice rooms and friendly staff. Terrible parking. First night stay the parking lot and underground parking was full. Second night I got into the underground ramp but our pickup wouldn't fit into any spots. Probably won't stay again due to limited parking.

Service was amazing. The staff responds to requests quickly. Love having the bar connected in the Home2. The rooftop bar provides a fun atmosphere. Very convenient to downtown and the campus.

Hotel is nice and very clean with a decent pool and hot tub. Breakfast was your standard affair and had a decent selection but the staff were having trouble keeping up - out of eggs for 15+ minutes and waffle batter for 7 mins.

Haley and Grace at the front desk were really pleasant and accommodating. The junior suite was very nice..If I could have snuck the king size bed out I would have! We were there for the fair. If we need to visit SOTA in the future, we will stay HERE!

Actually stayed in the new home 2 suites connected to Hampton. Heater didn't work and there wasn't a free breakfast. I was only there from 1:30 am to 8 am due to the fact that my husband was admitted to the hospital at u of m. I'm not from Minneapolis and was exhausted. Had been in the e.r. with him since basically 2 pm. I wasn't really in the mood to complain about the broken heater or the lack of nourishment that I so desperately needed to make it through my day of worry and anxiety for my husband. It was a nice room. Room 340 I do believe.

We stayed at this hotel for a week due to a family member in the hospital. We arrived around 9pm. We were stressed, scared and tired. We found out they had a shuttle to the hospital which was a BIG relief! From the minute we walked in, Justin went out of his way to make things as easy as possible. He ran out to see what parking was available in the garage and found us a spot. Later, we realized we forgot to put the parking slip on the dash of our car. When we asked if it would be ok until morning, he asked for the slip and said he'd go out and take care of it. After being at the hospital all day/every day, we went to the bar/cafe. Scott always checked on us and made sure we had a menu and a cold drink. We didn't get everyone's names, but the entire staff was so kind and friendly and they were truly sincere when asking how my brother was doing. I could go on and on about our wonderful experience at this hotel. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! You need this Hampton Inn in your life! Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Have been staying here when visiting the Cities for years since they first opened. Staff very curtious and friendly. Clean lobby, room, and pool area. Comfy bed. Quiet halls/can't hear every person walking by Used to have a much better breakfast with more choices and a fantastic waffle bar with all the toppings. Alas, down to just syrup and butter. Breakie needs a boost. Hot tub water not very hot. Overall still a good hotel but used to be better.

If you're a solo female traveler, I highly recommend this hotel. The area feels totally safe and you need an access card to even enter the hotel. I noticed that there are cameras on the floor that I stayed in which made me feel even safer. Getting around-wise, it is less than 400 feet away from the tram, which takes you to either Downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul and other places around the city. I stayed for a World Cup Qualifier match and I took the tram from the hotel to Allianz Field. It took approximately 20 min. There's a grocery store nearby too. I disliked their breakfast but I didn't really expect much from it anyway. They keep coffee and water out for guests all day. Hotel was quiet and staff was very helpful.

Excellent customer service from Haley. She was beyond helpful and so very nice. Every employee should have Haley as an example to work towards. I wish I could say the same for Cynthia. She was fine but everyone should strive to be like Haley. Location was great, breakfast was very good. Thank you Hampton Inn!!!!!

The staff at this hotel will treat you like family and literally do anything for you. They clean all of the time. The breakfast is good. They will help you find dinner and meal delivery options. They will make sure you are safe and help you get your car parked. I highly recommend this property .

We booked a room block for our wedding. We booked about a year in advance with the general manager, Jamie. Booking the room block was a frustrating process and there was a lack of communication throughout the process. Some guests also had a hard time booking rooms because staff was saying the block was full and the hotel didn’t automatically add rooms like they said they would. I’m also not sure we got the suite we wanted for our stay. However, our stay was pretty decent. The hotel staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Parking was super easy and convenient and our room was spacious.
