I used the audio guide on the website. I wish there was more of a full fledged audio tour, but it was still nice. I really loved the mammoth, the interactive phylogenetic tree, and the dioramas. The dioramas are from the 40s and still look incredible! The artistry of them is absolutely beautiful, and I spent a lot of time trying to find all the little nooks of each one. The museum was kind of small, but the price was valuable. Really gorgeous facility. Easy to get to by bus as well.

Well worth visiting. Not only are the exhibits spectacular but the physical building itself is too. There is so much to do everywhere.A planetarium, diorama exhibits, and hands on learning too. There's plenty of knowledgeable staff to explain and answer your questions. Parking is close and in the Spring and Summer various gardens to checkout. Go see it.

The Bell Museum and Planetarium is an excellent place to spend a few hours of informative and fun entertainment. The planetarium is quite a unique and visually appealing educational experience. They have multiple different themed shows playing throughout the day. The museum isn't huge, but the second floor has an amazing and vast Natural History exhibition featuring very well done nature dioramas and features tons of great animal artifacts and taxidermy of Minnesota's wildlife. They have a good exhibit on space and astronomy as well. The museum is reasonably priced.

Delightful, informative natural history museum. I especially enjoyed the permanent "Journey to Minnesota" exhibit featuring how the state's geological formations developed starting withe the Big Bang, with life-sized dioramas of the state's native flora and fauna in their natural habitat. I also enjoyed relaxing in the pond habitat just outside the building. Has an "Touch and Feel" Room that kids AND adults would enjoy. I got to pet an eyelash lizard! 🙂 Relaxed viewing, not at all crowded even on a Sunday afternoon.

Excellent museum. The ambience is so nice and quiet!! There is a planetarium inside the building. Both are very good! The kids will love the place. If you want to know more about planets, animals, birds and plants, it's a great place to visit indeed :)

They honestly did such an amazing job with this museum- highly interactive, & aesthetically beautiful. The staff seem genuinely passionate about their jobs & it permeates into the general ambience of the museum. Loved it. Whether as an adult, older adult, child, or teenager- it really offers a wonderful display of historical phenomenon that pulls you in to learn. This location surpasses the previous venue it was stationed at historically- and for good reason! I’m definitely a fan 😊

I’m not even lying I think this is the best museum I’ve been to. As an extreme animal lover, this place was heaven. The staff were really sweet and answered questions. The planetarium and employees in there was great too. Literally come here I’m begging, it’s so good!!!

This museum caught my eye on a drive-by due to its naturalized landscaping and outdoor sculptures, and I planned a return visit. So glad I did! This is not a large museum, but every exhibit is well designed and informative. Lots of interactive exhibits for children and adults. My good fortune that I visited when their temporary bird exhibit was on display, which was excellent. A great way to spend an afternoon, and a must-visit for families with young children.

Always enjoy the Bell museum. It starts with the formation of the solar system and covers up to Minnesota's native fish.

Lots of dioramas and interactive displays make this very fun especially for children. The movies in the planetarium are an amazing experience. There's a few shorter movies throughout, just ask a staff member and they can point you in the right direction.

Fun 2 hour museum + omni theater show. 8, 10, and 12 year old kids all left with a smile on their faces and said "That was really fun" when we got in the car to go home. I was impressed with this location find.

Honestly this was a real let down of a museum. The entrance fee was $15 plus $2 parking. $17 in total. I think if you have little kids then this is more for them, but even still the first level of the museum could use a ton of work. The literal highlight of the first floor section of this place is watching cockroaches. Second floor is where this place truly shines and there’s really cool things to see. But it’s rather small. For the price you pay, there’s are plenty other museums that are bigger, cheaper, and some even free! Alright for first experience but I wouldn’t do it again for a while until there are plenty more exhibits or items added.

Beautiful museum. Lots of information on space and animals. We really enjoyed the Touch and See Lab. The interactive scavenger hunts with the dioramas were a hit with the kids. Thank you, Bell Museum, for a wonderful day out for our family.

Small museum with cool rotating artistic exhibits and educational permanent displays. I think we spent under 2 hours here and I was putting effort into seeing everything. I think there are better museum options for younger kids, but this is worth a visit.

Nice size, not too big or small. Planetarium video is like a mini Omni Theater. Pay for parking right there. Very clean bathrooms.

Great museum for all ages! My kids loved the planetarium & we did too! Cool place!! We bought tickets in advance online, we didn't know you needed to reserve parking, so my husband had to drop us off and park 2 blocks away.

We spent 2+hours here and that's even skimming some things because we were getting hungry. I think this is the most detailed dioramas that we've seen - very impressive. It was interesting to see the process of how some of them were created from initial drawing as well. Would highly recommend this place!
