    SOTA Fitness is a perfect fit for my busy life. I like the 40 min express group classes - they are jam packed from start to finish. I'm working out more consistently than I have in a long time. Two months in, I'm already seeing definition and am stronger! It is a supportive environment for all ages and body types. Highly recommend!

    If you're looking for a fitness destination this is the ONE! I came to SOTA to focus on strength training over the winter months last year. As an avid endurance athlete I don't really enjoy lifting but SOTA and their trainers have completely changed the game for me. They have set the tone for a very positive atmosphere and everyone is encouraging and works together as a team. No matter what place you are at in your fitness journey there's something here for you. The trainers are highly professional, make the workouts fun and entertaining, and get to know each member personally. I've achieved my desired results and their 1:1 nutritional meetings and check-ins really help you accomplish what you're looking to do on your wellness journey. When I asked to adjust my membership for the summer months while I'm spending all my free time outdoors, Phil the owner went above and beyond to accommodate my request. This speaks to the integrity on how SOTA operates. I highly recommend SOTA fitness with confidence!

    I’ve been training here for over two years now. Phil and his team operate the best gym in the state. The gym is always clean, the equipment is high end and the trainers are creative with their workouts and you can push yourself as much as needed. The workouts are so much fun, and so rewarding. If I could give them 6 stars out of 5 I would. This place will change your life in so many positive ways.

    Sota is the perfect sized, local gym. The class sizes for the group fitness are always a good amount for the space, and the coaches are helpful, fun, and chill. Their setup for arm days, leg days, and total body are really well procured, so you can actually hit all three without repeating if you don't want to. The owner (Phil) is a really nice, innovative, and inspiring guy - he and the team are very adaptive to member wants/needs and have great setups in place to get people started on their (sustainable) journey to better health. Thanks so much guys!

    The instructors at SOTA fitness are so friendly and knowledgeable. The instructors are there to help make accommodations (I had a stress fracture in my foot from running) to ensure the workouts are still very challenging. After working out 3 times a week there for a few weeks, I noticed my body recovered more quickly from each workout and I wasn't overtly sore afterwards which was very encouraging. Thank you so much to Phil and the SOTA team! I will absolutely be back.

    Highly recommend Phil, the entire coaching staff, and the community at SOTA Fitness! The coaches are knowledgeable and explain techniques and movements clearly with modifications for injuries or ability levels. The workouts are diverse, challenging, and vigorous, but the coaches add their own unique elements of fun and the community is extremely supportive :). I have felt stronger and more confident after each class. Thank you SOTA Fitness!

    I love working out with all of the trainers at SOTA Fitness. And when I say all of the trainers, I mean all of the trainers. I work with 2-3 different ones a week and they are all experts in their field, fun to train with, and focused on you as an individual. Additionally, there is always a new program or event to challenge you if you want. A highlight for me - having worked out in gyms and with trainers for over 20 years - is that I'm always learning new exercises and insights about health and fitness. Love the creativity and knowledge!

    SOTA Fitness is FANTASTIC! The community is welcoming, the coaches are personable, and the workouts are truly FUNctional. Every class is different and engaging from start to finish. The coaches provide scaling options for movements so you can adapt the workout to your fitness level and comfort. However, they’ll also encourage you to push yourself and find new limits. You’ll begin to feel stronger in no time! If you’re thinking about trying SOTA, I would HIGHLY recommend!

    Love working out at SOTA Fitness! They are professional, kind, fun, and know what they're doing! They have all the right equipment and are diverse wtih their workouts. If you're looking for good 1:1 training, this is the place to go!

    I truly cannot say enough great things about SOTA Fitness. They have been there for me when I struggled to stay consistent in the gym. The coaches send check-in messages to help aid in the consistency of their members. I need that! The workouts are different each day and they are always so challenging! I leave feeling accomplished and in a great mood. SOTA is an incredible gym with a community like no other. Everyone needs to check it out!

    I love SOTA fitness! the trainers did a great job of helping myself and my sister learn a variety of strength training and cardio routines. They made sure we improved but also challenged us when needed. All the trainers are great and very easy to work with!

    SOTA fitness has been amazing to help my sister and I get into a great weight lifting routine and building foundational strength. We loved all the trainers we worked with and I would recommend them all! They did a great job of making sure we improved each week while also challenging us to step outside our comfort zone. I would recommend SOTA to anyone in all different phases of their fitness journey 🙂

    Phil is exceptional at what he does. Seriously great product and service. I am an elite athlete using SOTA to enhance my performance, but it's clear that anyone looking to lift properly or be in good shape, should use these awesome personal training sessions to do so in way that is the perfect combination of comfortable and challenging. Fantastic gym!

    My experience with SOTA has been great! The entire team is kind and genuine. Rachel is a wonderful coach who really helps me push myself at the gym and away. She is patient and understanding when we try new routines, and has really helped me on my fitness journey!

    I can say that your classes are top notch! Phil runs a great business that has a great community feel. All of the trainers are knowledgeable and deliver great classes that are challenging but also meets the needs of each individual. I always get a great workout when I go to Sota Fitness.

    I love SOTA Fitness!! I was looking for some accountability and decided to try personal training. My coaches push me, cheer me on, and just make me feel so supported. In 6 weeks I was down almost 3% body fat, just by incorporating strength training 2-3x a week.

    Hands down, the best personal trainers I have ever worked with. They know how to push me while working around my old injuries, they motivate me, and they actually listen - something I’ve never received from anyone else. I’ve been pushed too hard by younger trainers at other gyms, but the trainers at SOTA are experienced and will take great care of you. I’m stronger and more confident now in my 50s than I was in my 30s! Don’t wait or waste your time at other gyms like I did - give them a call and start feeling your best again!

    I'm in town for a month and decided to try Sota Fitness and have loved my experience thus far. Right when I reached out Phil was quick to respond-- even taking the time to reach out on 4th of July to let me know he got my inquiry. He handled my consultation and got me set up right when I arrived. I have been able to try out a few different trainers and can say everyone has been great so far, but Rachel fits my personal style the best. Rob led a really fun class, and Ben was great as well. If you get intimidated in gym settings, try this gym-- everyone is so nice and friendly and you get immediately greeted upon walking in so you don't feel out of place. If I lived here I would come here regularly and make it my home gym. Its a great experience and the customer service is on point.

    Have been a regular at Sota Fitness for three months and counting, since I moved to the neighborhood. Highly recommend their 1:1 and group classes! All coaches are friendly and very knowledgeable in guiding through the workout sessions to meet desired fitness goals. Special shout out to coach Phil for being an awesome trainer, running the space effectively, and creating a sense of community among the regulars.

    I've had training sessions with Elliott Hoekstra here for the past 7 months and it's been a great experience. The environment is always light-hearted and the coaching has been great for my motivation and accountability. He's done a great job of answering my many questions about workouts and nutrition. I am very appreciative of all the trainers here who do a great job of making this a fun and welcoming place to workout.

    They want you to succeed. No matter your current abilities, they will help you feel capable and successful! They took an out-of-shape 57 year old, and helped me feel that my fitness goals are doable! And after surgery, they amended exercises to meet my abilities. Great training team there!

    SOTA personal training and group classes are an excellent way for me to maintain my wellbeing. The instructors are knowledgeable and provide helpful instruction throughout your workouts. In addition, they help outside of the gym by providing tips and easy lifestyle changes to help manage your fitness goals and minimize stress and burnout from every day life.

No matter your skill level, you will always feel challenged and the encouragement that you get from the trainers is impeccable and tailored to each individual. Elliot’s noon classes are motivating, efficient and a highlight of my day!

    I was really impressed by SOTA Fitness! I found SOTA on Class Pass and was convenient to book. As a bodybuilder, I prefer to lift at the gym but this class made me feel great and gave an amazing workout. My first class was lower body with Kristine and my second was upper body with Elliot. Both instructors went through each movement and gave fantastic explanations. Both instructors made sure to walk around the room, motiving all of their guests. SOTA fitness was clean, a lot of parking, and had lots of different equipment. Looking forward to coming back next time I visit MN!

    I have been going to SOTA for almost a year. I started with a six-week challenge. It was a great way to get started and get to know the gym, trainers, and regulars. When I started I hadn’t done more than walks for over a year. I was out of shape and having a hard time getting into healthy routines. I love the group classes and look forward to them. I’ve never felt out of place at SOTA.

    I can't say enough good things about the trainers at SOTA Fitness. They are nice, professional, and experts at helping people train in a way that helps them meet their personal goals. I had a bad rotator cuff injury when I first started training at SOTA. They were able to tailor my workouts so that there wouldn't be too much stress on my shoulder, but at the same time, strengthen the muscles around it to help it heal. Since then, I've made a full recovery and am now setting new personal bests!

    Had a great time at my workout last weekend! Phil is very attentive even in a full class, he is continually walking around and checking in to make sure you're using the correct weights and doing the correct movement to prevent injury. If you are looking for some accountability and someone to help push your health and fitness journey this is a great option for all skill levels.

    I appreciate the staff's flexibility/ability to avoid areas that are sore. They easily adjust my workout on the spot as needed and yet I am always challenged enough. I am particularly happy that each week I feel the progress I am making in my posture. I used to suffer with head/neck pain daily but that is so rare now despite my career. They have helped me more than going to a physical therapist did. I have worked with several of the trainers and they keep record/communicate my strength/abilities efficiently every time. I also really appreciate how encouraging and professional they are. I never liked exercising in a gym atmosphere in past but I feel very comfortable at Sota.

    Before even moving to MN, I'd done my homework to find a gym that was like the one I had come to love in Philly - small, personal setting with high intensity workouts with a good range of classes/ times. With SOTA, I found that & more. Phil & all of the trainers have created an environment that is fun, challenging, supportive and, above all else, really feels like a community. I've been coming to SOTA for close to 3 years now, as both a personal training client & a class attendee, and I can confidently say that it has totally changed my relationship with exercise. SOTA has become the cornerstone to both my physical & mental health, particularly now that I primarily work from home & have a more sedentary work day. SOTA is the absolute best - I cannot recommend them enough!
