😠 Do your homework before you send a love one here. The management is in shambles. They can’t keep any good staff. It used to be a great place to live! My parents lived in independent living for over 15 years. Now my Dad is in long term care and it is a challenge every day. Never enough staff.... People often mention staff, care, Therese,

If I could give negative stars I would. The staff is neglectful borderline abusive. My grandma stayed here for a few weeks after a stroke for rehab. On several occasions she had to call my grandpa to come clean her up because she had soiled herself and no nurse would answer the call button. I reported the issue to the manager of the unit who said he would fill out a report but didn’t know how far it would go. I also tried to report this facility to the state but 20 minutes into the questionnaire the person on the hotline hadn’t even asked for details about the incident. Made my heart break for other patients who may not have an advocate or need permanent care. Thank god my grandmother was not a permanent resident here. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! It’s a nice facility but horrible staff and care. The family should never have to come late at night to do the job of the nurses. Never understood the extent of elder neglect until this experience.

My parents lived in independent living for over 15 years. Now my Dad is in long term care and it is a challenge every day. Never enough staff. They can’t keep any employees! The food sometimes is inedible. Last night at dinner, most residents didn’t eat their main dish it was so bad. They lost his hearing aid, they said they would reimburse. 5 months, still waiting. I’ve had money missing from his wallet and other things missing from his room. One of us kids goes almost every day to check on him because you can’t trust he will be cared for. And they charge top dollar for this sub par care!

11/21/22. Short term care …My dad was transferred from the hospital to St Therese Oxbow tonight. So far i am not impressed with the staff that cares for him. He laid in bed with his shoes on and clothes plus warm jacket for 45 minutes when he first got there. No one knew where he could get a boost drink as his throat hurt so bad he could not eat. If anyone would have opened the refrigerator they would have found a refrigerator full of boost or supplement drinks. No one knows what is going on. He had to use the restroom and we could not find anyone to help him as everyone I talked to told us they were new. They said they had many temps as employees but they do not seem to train people well enough to know what they are doing. When they FINALLY got to his room, they put him in a hoist and transferred him to the toilet. They did not take his pants off, so he sat on the toilet with his pants on. I don’t feel like they should fill their beds completely if the staff is not trained properly and they cannot get to rooms quickly enough or at least within ten minutes to accommodate these poor older people. We did talk to a women named Deb tonight who assured us these things would be taken care of and she would talk with the staff. Hopefully tomorrow will be better but not a good first night at all. My dad is afraid and we are not sure he will get the care he needs to help him get well at this facility. I will follow up on this review and let you know how his stay goes but i’m not comfortable at all yet. I did appreciate the talk with Deb who was the person in charge. 11/26/22. To conclude this review, I regret putting my Dad here. How this place got any stars i’ll never know. My dad is to weak to move now and we watch him everyday to make sure he can go to the bathroom when needed and to meet his other needs. If we were not there, my dad would have accidents. He has gotten out of bed without help because he cannot wait any longer and we were not there to help, and this is after major surgery. There are many many reasons i would not put a loved one here. I was fooled by the nice clean building , but a building is nothing without the help for the older people. My heart goes out to these patients. ♥️ 11/28/22. We move my Dad out of this facility Friday. Very unhappy with this facility. I would not put a loved one here. Do your research please. That’s all i can say don’t wait until it’s to late after you have moved your loved one in here ♥️

My Dad has been here for over a month in rehab. I've been there many times and I think the people there are great! Their attitude was great considering how tough their job is. They handled getting back to normal after covid spectacular. Thanks to all of you, my Dad and our family really appreciate all your hard work!

I was in St Therese to begin my recovery from major spine surgery. I will say that the staff was absolutely fantastic! The nurses and nurses aides were professional, compassionate, and treated the patients with dignity. The physical therapists and occupational therapists were great - pushing me when I needed pushing - but ever mindful of the pain I was in. The food was delicious and I want to make sure that the kitchen staff is recognized, as well! The social worker was excellent, too! On top of all that, St. Therese looked after the whole person, recognizing that faith and spirituality are so important!

My mother received care in transitional rehab unit and now resides in the independent living apartments. I can't say enough about the skill, responsiveness and courtesy of all staff. This was a very difficult transition for her and they have done everything possible to make her feel welcome, safe, and as independent as possible. It also happens to be beautiful, clean and welcoming. St Therese at Oxbow deserves 10 stars!!

I am a Social Worker and have had clients in the Transitional Care Unit and the care they received was exceptional. They were able to return to their home and have a successful transition. Chelsie, the Social Worker helped make my clients transition home smoother because of her knowledge of community resources and communication with families and myself. I would recommend St. Therese Oxbow not only for Transitional Care, but also for Assisted Living and Long term Care!

The front door is NOT open 24 hrs. (Was locked at 8:44 pm Sat 6/3/23.) The lobby phone reaches a recording requesting caller to leave a message. Not a very good impression for those wanting to see the place. Maybe its so popular they only give tours by appointment?

Around 2:15 pm on 4/11/2023 I witnessed an elderly lady fall head first onto the sidewalk. I pulled up to her and asked her if she was ok. She stated she was fine and attempted to stand up. I told her to hold on and that I would run into what I assumed was where she was living which was St Therese in Brooklyn Park. I told the two ladies at the front that one of their residents had falling and had a gash on her head. There was no sense of urgency and the fat one just sat there and the other one came to the door and just stood in the doorway. I went and got the lady that had fallen who by now was walking up the sidewalk. I don’t even work there and I was more compassionate than the two ladies at the front desk who did absolutely nothing. I’m hoping this residents family is reading this. Get your family member out of there because they don’t care. OAN: I did use to work at this place and it was horrible! I quit due to some things I witnessed and was not comfortable with.
