Such a beautiful experience! We had to put in work going upstream but coming back down was so relaxing. You just flow all the way back. So many gators but they were all very calm & getting their daily sunlight on tree logs. Birds, hogs/pigs (couldn’t tell), gators, turtles, fishes, raccoons, all kinds of wildlife to see here. Bring binoculars !

Always a favorite when we need to get on the water. It's close proximity to Orlando, and a great local hangout. Keep it clean and respectful for the wildlife. There are wild fish, turtles, and gators. Pay attention to where you are at. You will have a blast!

What an amazing reward for making the full 8 mile paddle from kings landing. Beautiful artistry in the building's craftsmanship. Great beer... Great food... Beautifully maintained riverfront lounge!

My wife and I had a great day on the Wekiva River paddling our rental kayak from Wekiva Island. The rental process was easy and the staff were helpful. I would recommend doing your rental waiver form online ahead of time and coming early because it gets pretty busy on the weekend.

A BEAUTIFUL state park, family and adventure friendly! I wish there was a place like this back home. We vacationed in Orlando but decided not to do commercial / touristy outings. The day was perfect and I cannot wait to come back.

Nice place to drink a beer with a view of the back waters. Kayaking here was one of the most peaceful experience. But Do not try to kayak towards rock springs from here as its almost 10 miles. I would suggest Kayaking towards wekinwa spring if you want to see a spring

Wekiva Island is a place to hangout especially during summer time. You can enjoy the water and local beer. You can rent a canoe or kayak. They're a volleyball court and Cornhole game. You can rent a cabana and they will let you bring food and non alcoholic drinks. Food and beer or wine drinks available in the property. The only thing is you have to get there early otherwise, you have to park down the street.

This place is such a blast. You can rent kayaks double kayaks canoes stand up paddle boards. There's people playing cornhole and sitting around on the dock socializing while enjoying the Florida wildlife. There is food and a full bar. I will definitely be back!

Had a great time kayaking. Great views and were lucky to have good weather. Just beware that there are a couple of alligators in the lagoon 😅

Love renting a kayak for some time on the river followed by lunch and beer. Nice selection of beers on draft. The food from the food truck never disappoints. Recommend the shrimp quesadillas. The cauliflower bites were excellent as well.

A great way to get on the river and spend some time outside. Entrance and parking is usually way easier than the state park entrance, but fees are probably similar. Rent or bring your own kayaks or paddle boards. The bar and grill are also great to full up after being on the river. The cabana rentals also look like awesome!

Great times at this awesome park. It’s 5 dollars to get in per person. There’s an area to chill, bar, kayak or canoe. Great place to spend the weekend. It’s clean and organised. Good service.

What a great place to chillax. The people are friendly if you need them to be. Or you can just grab something to eat and drink and hang out by the river with the people you came with. Definite laid back Florida vibe.

Rent kayaks, canoes or paddle boards or bring your own! The river brings you to Wekiva Springs (1 mile from launch) or Kings Landing (7-8 miles from launch). Craft and domestic beers or wine on tap! Awesome food truck on site (fancy fries are delicious!!) no lines are allowed when waiting to enter so if they turn you away, take a short drive and try again. Best to go first thing in the morning or after 1:30 pm.

Booked the VIP cabana for my son's graduation party and it was perfect. Loads of fresh air, fun and lots of sun!!! He was a very happy boy as well as the rest of the guests!! Thank you Wekiva Island!!

Had a great time here. My wife and I rented kayaks right when they opened at 8:00 AM. We stayed out for about two hours and came back and had a couple beers at the Tooting Otter bar and got food from the food stand. The place is quite the party spot, so be prepared for lots of young people having a good time.

Go canoeing! We went for about 2 or 3 hours and it was relaxing and scenic. Would recommend the V.I.P. cabana but oddly the parking for that one is farthest away from the cabana.

We came here to eat after a kayaking tour at kings landing. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. Good vegetarian options. Friendly service.

It is a great place to be here all day. If you rent a cabana (like we do for parties) it is really awesome. You have a solid shaded place and plenty of room to put everyone’s stuff. The water is Crystal clear and chilly 70 degrees. It’s a beautiful place. Community gas grill are available. There is a full bar that has very reasonable prices. You can’t bring your own alcohol so be prepared to buy drinks. Bring some cash for entry. I think it like under 5$ per car unless you have a cabana. There is a food tuck here for good hamburgers and chicken and some other stuff. Volleyball court and kayak and canoe rentals are available. If it’s a busy weekend, be here by 9am because it gets filled up quick and it may be at capacity. You kayak in the native windy river to springs and it’s just like being in native Florida. 100% worth spending a day here especially if you can rent kayaks and spend time on the river. Clean restrooms and. All staff is very friendly. It’s a really cheap alternative to Disney or a hotel pool if you have a family and want to hang out beer the water.

It's absolutely worth getting a cabana! The staff is super friendly and grounds are stunning! We had so much fun we didn't wanna leave

We rented a cabana here and it was amazing! It came with a cooler with some water, canoe and you can also grill. We ordered food from the truck. Listen that fried fish was so good and the hushpuppies. Actually everything it came with was good!! Which is coleslaw, which I don't eat by the way. Lol. We saw a cute otter swimming along the river, birds and turtles. I can't wait to come back.

Nice relaxing atmosphere, wouldn’t go swimming in those waters very dark great for gators, but nice to kayak, canoe or paddle board carefully. Beautiful place with a bar and food spot!

I hosted a corporate event at Wekiva Island and rented out the Tootering Otter and 3 cabanas and it was great! More than enough space, great food, good energy, and everyone had a blast. The staff was so accommodating and helpful and we would 100% do it here again.
