Started off with the lobster bisque, which was smooth and delicious. I also had the double cut lamb (medium) and grilled asparagus, which was great. However, my companion had the veal tomahawk (medium rare) and it was not as tender as what you would expect a piece of veal to be. It was also over cooked and more on the medium-medium well side. When you pay $60 for a steak, you expect it to be melt in your mouth perfection. If it would have been half as good as my lamb, I would have given it 5 stars, easily.

We went to Capital Grille for the first time today and were seated promptly. Don't know about you but that's what forms my first impression of a restaurant. Our server, Jake, was amazing. The service was top notch. The food even more so. Everything was on point and the experience was worth it. Jake took seriously good care of us and also warned us off the New England Clam Chowder because it had pork. He was super considerate and thoughtful and we really appreciated it. All the food was amazing. Would 💯 recommend it for a massively special occasion. Last time I had some take out during restaurant week (husband and friends ate there and took take out for me) and the food was really very good. Eating in person confirmed it.

I went with family that have been here before. In the past they have enjoyed the food; however, on this particular visit (also my first visit) the flavor was all over the board. Some had salty and overcooked steak. Some had bland steak. Overall, if you're wanting a nice night out, it's okay. There are other high quality restaurants nearby that are more worthy of a visit.

We came here on Thanksgiving and had an absolutely amazing Thanksgiving dinner (for lunch). While that specific meal may not be available year-round, I imagine the high quality of the food we had applies to anything one can eat here (and there were a lot of options on the menu that sounded terrific). The turkey was extremely tender and juicy (and that meat is almost always dry, in my experience). The buttery mashed potatoes were mouthwatering, and I could have definitely eaten more. The cranberry sauce had some nice spices in it that made it some of the best I’ve ever had. The stuffing was made with brioche, so it had a slight sweetness to it that was unexpected but pleasant. The green beans were just the right amount of crunchy (but a few didn’t have the stems cut off). We also had some coffee, which was great, and an absolutely divine pumpkin cheesecake. I doubt that it’s served often, but it should be. We were given some warm bread before the main meal. There were several different kinds of bread and rolls; the best one was definitely the onion roll. The butter was cold, so it was hard to spread, but it helped that the bread was warm. Overall, a great experience. The staff was extremely professional, friendly, and hard-working. Came here for a birthday celebrations and the whole experience was fantastic. Our server, Angel, was great, as was all of the support staff. The special little bday touches were very much appreciated

Have reviewed multiple locations of this chain in many cities. Their consistency is their strong point. The food and service are very good but more importantly almost the same in any of their restaurants. Great job Update: dinner on 5/5, I am extremely happy with the consistency of thus chain. Still the same great food and service.

Ryan was an absolutely fantastic waiter! He's the kind of guy that can relate to any type of person. If you have the luck of having him serve you then I highly recommend listening to his recommendations. They were all on point. The food was amazing as well. Went for our anniversary. Absolutely wonderful. Best salmon I have EVER had. Everything was so delicious. A little pricey but nice for special occasions.

This is a great place to have a nice dinner. There is a dress code & the service is phenomenal! My mom & I enjoyed our time here. The salmon was a hit! The drinks GREAT! Ryan was our host he was pleasant, kind, & provided great customer service. The Black Tie Margarita is a must!

I worked with Diane at the Capital Grille to plan a corporate 50 person happy hour event. The service and food was outstanding. I was very impressed with the detail, communication leading up to the event, and overall experience. I didn’t get the chance to capture all names, but all capital grille employees did an excellent job. I did remember Jeff, as he kept the drinks flowing and never missed a beat. I will definitely be back!!!

This is probably my favorite restaurant ever. The clam chowder is delicious and creamy, the NY strip is amazing. I also tried the cream corn with bacon for the first time and it’s honestly delicious. The service you receive while here is top notch & makes the entire experience even better.

Wonderful place to celebrate any occasion! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, without being overbearing or overly interruptive. The food, of course, was delicious. I highly recommend the steak tartare! The decor and staff uniforms are a bit outdated, but your parents/grandparents would love it.

We ate dinner here right before a show at the State theater. Location can’t be beat. Beautiful restaurant. Service was outstanding. Was disappointed that all 3 of the filet mignons that were ordered we not cooked perfectly. The two medium rare orders were rare and the medium was well done. My sea bass was amazing.

I really hope management and owners read these reviews. We had a big party that went last night. They sat us in the wine room which was perfect for our group. Claudia and Shannon were our servers. They were so patient, professional and fun. I just want to thank everyone involved for making it a fun night.

My husband received a very generous gift card for The Capital Grille so we used it for our anniversary dinner and splurged a bit! It is an incredibly fancy and upscale restaurant. We felt a little bit out of place when first arrived, but the service was excellent and the food was absolutely divine. We started with the cherrywood smoked bacon appetizer, which literally just melts in your mouth. We each ordered a New York strip and both were cooked to perfection. We got sides of asparagus and brussels sprouts. We definitely favored the brussels sprouts. It was overall a very nice experience, but it was very expensive and I don’t know that we would be willing to spend that much money on a dinner out again.

Overall Capital Grille was okay. I had the Clam Chowder and that was okay. The Calamari is very good. The best dish at our table was my dish and I had the Roasted Chicken Breast with Mushroom and Parmesan Risotto. The service was TERRIBLE though. The price definitely doesn’t match the type of service you get. I’m not sure if the goal was to get us to never return but the employees were successful at making our party of 7 not feel welcome or want to return ever again.

Every time I’ve been here, the food has been great. I have especially enjoyed lunches here. For dinner, it would have been nice to have an area to wait for our table reservation. The bar and restaurant areas got very crowded and loud. I could barely hear our waiter even though he was standing right next to me. With the mix of noise, low lighting, and dark, refined decor, it felt like the evening ambiance wanted to be more intimate than it was.

Capital Grille is by far one of my new favorite spots. To the food, the service and the drinks. - All amazing! Came here for my birthday celebration and definitely enjoyed everything this elegant restaurant had to offer. Thanks for the delicious birthday dish! Will definitely be returning in the future!

The food was not tasty at all. I was so disappointed. I’ve been to other locations in New York, North Carolina & Texas & the food was delicious. At this location, the quality was lacking, the steak tasted blahhh not seasoned at all. The bread was not warm, it was hard & lacked taste as well. The calamari appetizer we had was too oily & again lacked taste. The drinks were okay. The mashed was not seasoned enough as well. On the positive, our server was awesome! The place itself is beautiful. Food looks delicious but the delicious taste is missing in action.

My date and I came for the generous pour program in the summer - $32pp with dinner - 3 reds and 3 whites plus a refill on your favorite pour. Such a great value. For food, we started with the crab/lobster cakes (great choice, full of meat, not filler) and as I don’t eat steak I had the ahi tin stacker for my main (beautifully presented, the mango and sriracha flavors were delicious) while my partner had the filet. Service was impeccable, food and wine was divine. Total bill for us $300

Went here for my birthday dinner tonight and was so pleasantly impressed. The atmosphere is elegant, and the entire restaurant is beautiful. The food was top notch and our server, Carlos, was just as great. He made fantastic recommendations and ensured that we were kept busy with food without rushing us. There is plenty to choose from in terms of drinks, and they have iPad to explore the wines and cocktails if you don’t know what you like just by looking at a list. We had the lobster bisque, French onion soup, and the filet mignon. At the end of the meal they brought out a birthday treat which was just the best way to end a delicious meal. I definitely recommend coming here to celebrate, or just to treat yourself.

Unmatched care and attention to detail. The service here is always spot on, everyone is extremely knowledgeable about the menu and how the food is prepared. Very extensive wine list and the cocktails are fantastic (blackberry bourbon sidecar is one of my go-to’s). Every course has something to offer for everyone. I usually always get the seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails but I’ve tried a number of other things from seafood to beef to chicken and they’ve all been wonderful. Although the bill tends to add up pretty quick, you will not be disappointed with the food or service. Highly recommend coming here.
