Cute park with lots of shelters and picnic tables. The trails are clearly marked with lots of roots, but very nice views. The whole park could do with some basic upkeep, rotted wood signs that have fallen over and some unmarked large roots in walking paths. Playground equipment is sturdy and in good shape. Good for all kids ages.

We rented a large cabin and the place was great. Just be aware that the cabins are 1 room so there where 5 bunk beds and a single bed in an open area. They are doing some construction in the park but the noise was limited to earlier daytime. Very quite park. I believe all the sites have lake access. As well as drinking water. Keep In mind that it's about 50yrd to the water so a heavy kayak will be tough but a boat ramp is also in the park. One of the nicest I've seen. 3 ramps total and I had to leave 3 nice kayaks with motor and batteries and fishing gear there for several hours as we were packing up to leave and a storm popped up. To my surprise everything was still there. One of the hidden gems. It's very affordable fun for the whole family. Or could be a Romantic getaway for the parents. Locals tell me they are gonna start allowing private docks on the lake and if so this treasure will be gone. So go soon. Oh and the store and grill at the end of the road is good. They have a little outdoor shop connected to it as well and if you need tackle or anything and that is closed they will open and allow u to go in. Nice people running the park. We had to upgrade from a small to a large cabin and they handled that perfectly. Also my water pump went out on my truck so had to replace that at the cabin and took a little while extra but I called the ranger and since there was nobody behind us they allowed us to use the cabin while I fixed my truck since it started storming. They could've easily charged us another day but did not. So if your on the fence about this one book it.

Our first time visiting & it was amazing! Nice level gravel sites, fire pits, picnic tables & we happened to be right on the water!

My family and I enjoyed The Thomas Family Reunion. We met a lot of relatives that live close to VA. It was heartwarming to hear cousins speak of my mother, Rheba Thomas( daughter of Nannie and Glennie Thomas). It brought back many memories. Look forward to many more Reunions. #FamilyFirst

This place was fun and well worth the trip! We took out the pontoon boat and pushed out from the docks. If you want a lake where you can go and party and not be harassed by others while enjoying your time, this is the spot. We would like to say that also the bathrooms were in very clean working order during our trip.

Campsites have water and electric but sites aren't very level. We have camp there a few times and ever site we have stayed at has been very unlevel. Some are very private while others are close together. Nice trails but very uneven with lots of tree roots so wear appropriate footwear. Lake is very pretty but if you kayak like we do be prepared for motorboating and the waves they produce. For the most part very nice experience employees friendly and pretty quiet. On suggestion is to provide a dumpster closer to the campground.

Loved the Sasquatch Disc Golf Course! Great signage and a lot of different options for each hole. We could spend all day out there just shooting from different tee pads.

😠 We have been coming here for years and have always loved camping here. With that being said, the "camp authority" could use some classes in manner's and public relations. No need to be rude to tell us to get off and that it's closed when we are on the volleyball court playing with our kids while it'...

👍👍 Huge recreational park at Hyco Lake in Person and Caswell Counties. There are many things you can do here. There are boat ramps, beach area for swimming, camping, hiking, etc. The area is clean and the Park Staff are friendly and helpful. It does cost to park and visit the area, as well as usin...

😐 There's a nice walking area. It's very wooded so it stays cool in the summer time and is fenced in. There's a very small playground area beside a covered picnic shelter. The restrooms stay locked unless there are ball games. It's a Historic Landmark for the county since there used to be a school the...
