Staff and ER is the worse I have EVER seen.I went to the ER because of chest pain, heart fluttering and racing,a sever headache and just felt very weird. I told the sign in nurse I was also having hot flashes she laughed and said I know I have them all the time. Ugh I am 45 not menopausal! She said sounds like anxiety, I told I have had an anxiety attack before and this was not anxiety related. (She is not a nurse or doc just the sign in blood pressure lady) They sent me back to the waiting area....for 3 1/2 hours! When I asked did they know how much longer it would be a different worker pointed to the waiting area and said in a harsh tone..do you see all these people in here? When you are next we will call you, and pointed her finger at me. another 30 mins past and I went to the front sign in desk and asked nicely is there any way at all to tell how much longer it will be. She looked at me and said no, you will have to sit and wait your turn like everyone else. I was not asking to be put ahead only how much longer. She said just have a seat mam. I took off my band and laid it on the counter and said I'd rather have a heart attack at home than in a hospital with this kind of staff. I have found out since then that I have atrial fibrillation and was showing signs of a stroke.also my cholesterol was over 300

The employees of this hospital are over worked. The hospital is understaffed. The dietary department cannot seem to fulfill orders properly. With one cup of tea patients are given 12-20 packets of spenda. Why so many for one cup of tea? My family member is a diabetic. The dietary department has on more than one occasion provided sugar instead of spenda. In addition to items that contain sugar and items that should not be eaten with intestional blockages. One of the most important parts of the day is a patient's meals. Yet simple requests and health dictated food choices are often over looked. The employees are over worked. On more than one occasion a single nurse is doing both jobs of the Floor Nurse and PCA. During one of these times they mixed my family members test results with another patients and started an iv of medicine that caused a serious allergic reaction. Before treatement we were not positive for infection. After the allergic reaction we were now positive. How can something so simple be so hard in in a multimillion dollar establishment. It's scary and dangerous having a family member in a memorial hospital. Someone needs to be in the patient room at all times to maintain constant vigilance of the employees performing tests and administering medications. During a previous visit a family member was almost given a dose of insulin 10 times over what was needed. Less than 45 minutes after another nurse gave the correct injection. With all the technology today wouldn't an employee be able to see what was given to the patient. Please if your insurance is only good at a memorial hospital. Please make sure that someone is always with your loved one in the room. Their life may depend on it.

My uncle (a lung cancer outpatient) made an appointment for a plug to be put in his chest..long story short, spent almost 6 HOURS at this hospital. Went in at 6am was told by doctor palamara to come in at that time, no one had any record of my uncle anywhere, waited in the waiting room for 3 HOURS until someone can figure out what the hell happened!! Turns out the blame is on their "NEW" computer system called E.P.I.C. (failure) which is so new, that no one knows how the hell to use it.. Overall an unacceptable experience but on the contrary, the nurses and other staff went above & beyond to make our visit a half-decent one and they succeeded. But the doctors, THEY ALL have a superiority complex which is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! Would not recommend until this hospital gets their computer systems in sycn...also, the food was terrible. Finally left at 5:30pm but by that time I was completely numb.

This is the nicest, most modern doctor's office facility I've ever been to. It has a clean and bright atmosphere with complementary valet. I have to say, it was an enjoyable experience visiting my doctor here.

Really bad policy of not letting a parent visit with the kid. I was not allowed to be with my son even after the restrictions had been lifted by the Florida governor.

I could give a 5 star to most of the nursing staff...... not all , but the Dr's that I had......... I could give a minus 5 star.......... Very uncaring and unconcerned about what was going on with me.... They kept telling me I should go to another Hospital... because it's better....

Came here for a appointment for my son. I'd been to this building before as my OB's office is here and works out of Memorial. The facility itself was clean. In the lobby, there was a cafeteria stand. I didn't buy anything but it looks as if they had a lot of options for people. I am always comfortable and at peace when I have to come to this building. I love the Memorial Hospital system.

Excellent assistance, service, care, concern and dedication. From about most of all the faculty and staff that I'd encountered here, I was treated like a long lost relative. Doctor Oravitz in E.M. was very personable and amicable. Staff and faculty were professionally efficient. My case was strategically cared for, and my needs were effectively met. I do recommend.

I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience with Jessica. She works at the front desk and was incredibly empathetic, helpful, and professional from the moment I called to schedule my appointment to when I left the office this week. Jessica went above and beyond to make my visit seamless, and she is the reason why I will be returning to Memorial Hospital. Her warm and friendly tone and smile, coupled with her legitimate care for patients of the office, created a welcoming and comfortable environment where I felt valued. Jessica's dedication to providing exceptional customer service is a true reflection of her commitment to excellence, and her ability to empathize with my needs and concerns made me feel at ease. Jessica is a role model for how everyone should act not only at Memorial, but in the customer service industry. Her professionalism, dedication, and kindness are truly inspiring and touched me at a deep level. I am grateful for her commitment to making my most important doctor’s visit a profoundly positive one. Jessica is an invaluable asset to Memorial.

I had the pleasure of visiting with Dr. Evana Valenzuela Scheker and her staff at the division of Endocrine Surgery. From scheduling the appt to the office visit, it was by far the best experience I have had. I came to her for a second opinion on what could possibly be a scary situation for me as I am recovering cancer patient. Knowing my history she took the time to explain things in great detail so that I can have the peace of mind I so desperately needed. I had arrived late for my appointment and she and her staff waited! Imagine how often that happens! Astonishing! Normally it’s the other way around. Despite the fact the I was late her staff welcomed me with a wonderful smile and took me in right away. Everyone from the front staff to her medical assistant to her PA, just a lovely group of empathetic women. Going to the doctor with concerns can be scary especially if you have a history, cancer stays with you. The trauma of it all never goes away. So the one thing you want from a visit with a doctor is someone who cares and understands! I highly recommend Dr. Valenzuela Scheker, she is truly a wonderful doctor and you can genuinely tell that she really cares about her patients.
