This was by far the BEST place I found in my three-week trip exploring and surfing Nicaragua. I spent three nights here in the beginning of my trip and returned at the end for another 5 nights because nothing else I found in Nicaragua was nearly as good. The surf: Best I found (and I drove almost everywhere between here and south of San Juan Del Sur) in Nicaragua when you consider wave quality and crowds. There are two epic waves 50ft from this place, and two more 5 min walk away. And a bunch more a little further. The crowd factor was minimal. I surfed Miramar point today for about two hours solo. Greg is also a really good surfer and is does everything he can to share his knowledge of the area with you. He has the waves around here dialed and does everything he can to make sure you get the best waves possible. He even took me in his truck 45 minutes away to a secret point break one day (sorry I'll never tell where). The set up: The rooms are simple and comfortable. I stayed in two different rooms, each with a comfy bed and fan( they have AC options too). Wifi is super strong and fast too. Great central hangout area with nice chairs and hammocks to kick back and watch the surf. Good showers and washrooms too. The food!: Second best part(after the waves). Greg and his wife are GREAT cooks. I ate almost all my meals here(breakfast, lunch, and dinner) every day. Nicaragua has really average/poor food through the country overall, but these two are the exception and know how to create great flavors. We even had fresh lobster for dinner one night. Honestly, the food was epic! Thanks for a great time! This place was the highlight of my trip

I cannot say enough thanks to Greg and his family for showing us an amazing time. I would definitely rank this trip among the best surf trips I’ve had. From the moment we were picked up in Managua to when we reluctantly left, there was nothing but good energy and great times. This was also the first surf trip my friend and I brought our girlfriends on. We were a bit worried that they would be bored as we would be surfing the entire time, but the surf lodge was right on the beach and the house was paradise. The perfect setting to relax and recharge. I can hands down say this was some of the best food I’ve had on a surf trip as well. Chef Martita was accommodating of my girlfriend’s gluten allergy and really surpassed our expectations when it came to substituting certain ingredients. I’ve never been so well fed on a surf trip. As an added bonus, Greg had a massage therapist on call that worked magic. One of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. My girlfriend got two massages for less than you would pay for one in the states. And last but not least, the waves.. Obviously, if you plan a surf trip ahead of time you run the risk of getting skunked and missing the swell, but the stars really aligned for us on this trip and we absolutely scored!! And Greg knew exactly where and when we needed to hit certain spots to make the most of it. I’m already frothing to get back to Sirena Surf Lodge and can’t wait to see you and the family again, Greg. Best of luck as you continue to grow! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

You’re ON the beach!!! Just spent a week here, and already planning to come back! If you don’t go here - you’re missing out! There’s 2 killer surf breaks out front, the food is delicious, the space is inviting and clean. Greg, Jomar, and their staff are super friendly, and knowledgeable about the area, and Nicaragua in general! A must stop when venturing north in the country!

Look no further for a great accessible location, great waves for all level surfers, affordable accommodation rates, and wonderful hosts in Greg, jomar, and the rest of the gang! They even have a backup generator for guests to keep lights and air conditioning if the occasional storm power outrage occurs. No place I would rather have stayed at during my time in beautiful Nicaragua! I'll be back in the future many times to come! (When you get there Crack open an ice cold toña to celebrate!)

Sirena Surf Lodge is hands down the best surf camp in Nicaragua. The camp is located in Miramar, and has several world class waves; a couple of them are even right out front. The owner of the camp, Greg Chrisman, is very knowledgeable about the waves and will always get you in them. From the beginner to the very experienced surfer, there is a wave here for you. The food is terrific, and there is plenty of it! From the omlettes for breakfast to the fried fish for dinner, there is a little something for everyone. The rooms are wonderful. There are a variety of rooms, and one to fit every budget. Lastly, you enter the camp as a guest, and when you leave, you leave as friends forever. If you're going to stay in Nicaragua, stay at Sirena Surf Lodge. You will not be disappointed.

Is your dream vacation an all-inclusive resort, where your vacation is boiled down to unlimited amounts of bland food, cheap alcohol, and manufactured life? If so, this isn't your place. Want to get away from the craziness of modern life, kick back on the beach with some great people who could be your own close family or friends? Want authentic cooking made with love and fresh caught ingredients? Want to catch some glorious waves with the BEST surf guide in Nicaragua? If this sounds like your idea of the perfect vacation, then Sirena Surf Lodge should definitely be at the top of your destination list. Greg, Jomar, and the rest of the staff at Sirena will make sure you feel at home, that is, if your home was 30 ft from some of the nicest Ocean on the Pacific Coast. With decent breaks out front, and a short boat or car ride to some of Nica's best waves, this place should be on every surfer's list. If you don't surf, I can promise you Greg will make sure you have a great time, or that people leave you the heck alone if it is peace and quiet you want more. Can't say enough great things about the place, the people, and the experience!

I've just finished 6 months surfing Central and South america and can say that Sirena provided the best experience of all. Greg (owner) picked me up from Managua airport and within 2 hours, he paddled me right into the take-off zone and onto a clean 6-footer. Magical for me but pretty standard for Greg. The food is big and tasty and while the rooms are simple, the hammocks looking onto the point break are like their from a Corona commercial. Best for intermediates and above. Thanks Greg and Jomar, i hope to get back there soon

Everything you could want for an epic and easy Surf trip! Perfect lefts. Boat rides to more perfect lefts. Dozens of boards to pick from for rentals. AC in rooms. Amazing meals 3x a day with option for additional food. 60 - 90 minutes from Managua airport depending on traffic. Fully stocked up on ice cold beer. The owner Greg is friendly and very accommodating, is extremely knowledgeable on the surf and will make sure to put you on waves! Great vibes all around at Sirena!! The workers Skylar and Gaylen will have you laughing your entire stay and will join you in the line-up. Will be back for sure!

Having a hotel right on the beach means a lot of maintenance. This place is so well cared for and kept very clean. The owners are relaxed and helpful hosts. Great coffee and loved having access to the honor bar. They even allowed our miniature schnauzer to stay even though he spent most of his time terrorizing their dog.

AMAZING! Was there in january, the hotel is super cool , well positioned right on the beach and in front of the waves! Food is delicious, the rooms are comfortable and cozy, there is an amazing deck on the 1st floor where you can drink your coffee or do some yoga with a stunning view of the waves. Most importantly Greg and Jomar are great guest, make you feel at home, thanks also to a super friendly staff with Carlos, Marta and her daughters. Will certainly come back!!!

Beautiful spot right on the surf break of Miramar. The lodge is spacious and beautifully decorated, while the rooms are cozy and well equipped - loved the details in the bathrooms. The owners and staff are very friendly too! I’ll be back!

This was my first time in Nicaragua and chose to stay at Sirena Surf Lodge, I don't think I could have made a better decision! Greg and the staff are Great and extremely personable and accommodating. While I was visiting, everyone kept saying it was flat but I had a great time surfing shoulder/head high sets right out front and Greg is always trying to get everyone on a wave somewhere. My wife traveled with me and is not a surfer but everyone included her in everything to make sure she enjoyed herself also. The Family style eating was a great way to make friends with everyone else staying, I felt like I knew everyone by the end of the first night. I can't say enough about this place, it was AMAZING! Thanks Greg, Gaelan, other guests and staff!!!

I stayed in the Sirena Surf Lodge for 5 Nights and had the best time. The family owened business looks extremely well after their guests, not only on land with amazing food and comfy rooms, but also in the water with local knowledge about the surfspots around the place. Thanks Greg and family, it was amazing! I‘ll come back for sure. Cheers, Daniel

Had a great time here. Greg got us fun waves at the best time and tides. Sandino is a banger and the nearby beachy can get good. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back.

If you are looking for a chill vibe and want to surf, eat, sleep repeat, with no distractions highly recommend Sirenas. Recommend the all inclusive package as you are fed very well with local nicaraguan food and western dishes with a flare even pizza! (Note:I may have more photos of food than surf!) Also guaranteed to surf where the waves are pumping. Theres a wave out front, two more 10 mins walk away and a daily boat run to Selina Grande/ Puerto Sandhino if its working. Greg is a super host and with his multi talented side kick chef extrordinaire theres lots of stories to share. An honest family run business where you can surf your brains out and not worry about a thing. Recommend the massage too!

Greg and his family have built themselves a dream! Felt like I was staying at a mate’s place rather than at a lodge. Common areas are beautiful, board rental options are high quality and the location is unbeatable. As others have said, Greg’s got unmatched knowledge of the local area and will get you on good waves. I thought the forecast looked pretty average but Greg knew the working sandbanks to get us uncrowded A frames. Thanks mate!

There is no better place to stay in Miramar than with Greg! He has got this place wired! Food, staff, guests, and Greg's local wave knowledge were off the charts excellent!!! He will easily put you on the waves you are looking for. I've been on many surf trips over the years, and this place makes you feel right at home. You can get good waves all over the world, but this place offers amazing people as well. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I'm so glad we fell into this gem!

Watching the surf from bed. Relaxed, welcoming hosts. Excellent food. Beautiful surroundings. What more do you need.

Not recommended. I was forced to sleep on a chair cushion outside my room after the AC unit broke and turned into a hot box. When I informed the owner, he had no sympathy and charged me full price. Then I watched the same owner drop in on countless guests and surfers in the lineup and continued to tell them they were ‘too deep’ and they don’t know how to surf. Not only disrespectful but actually dangerous. Stay somewhere else.

Sirena Surf Lodge is the place to be whether your traveling Central America, looking for a new adventure, or simply trying to catch the best of waves around the best of company. The scenery (lush green, volcanoes, 84 degree water), the food (Dishes I want to learn to recreate because it’s the best I’ve ever had … toss in some lizanos), the people/art/culture, and the toñas are incomparable. Goyo is an incredible host. He is extremely knowledgeable, not only on the waves, but just as much about the local scene and history. Always take recommendations from him. Once you’re there try and savor every moment!

Wish there were more stars to give this place. Stayed at Sirena surf lodge a couple of times and always had an excellent time. Greg and his family do a phenomenal job of making you feel welcome. Their hospitality and how awesome they are sets them apart from other places. They offer meal plans aside from the accommodation and the food is always delicious. The place itself has a very laidback vibe and since it’s not a large resort it’s easy to meet and hang out with fellow travelers/surfers staying there. Greg was very nice in letting us stay with our dog as well. The room was clean and had AC as well as a fan. We had a room with shared bathroom but the bathrooms were always clean and easily accessible. There’s a large upper deck with several chairs where you can hang out, stretch, but most importantly you can watch the surf from there. There’s some fun surf right out front and nearby. It’s very convenient that Greg has his own boat to take you out to other surf spots. He’s very knowledgeable about the area and the different breaks. It’s a very small town so there’s not much but there’s a few other restaurants that are walking distance and really tasty food. If you’re looking to make your way to this area, don’t hesitate and book your stay at Sirena Surf Lodge. I can’t wait to be back. Thanks for the great times Greg!

Staying at the Sirena Surf Lodge was the best vacation I have ever had. Waves were pumping and Greg, the owner knew which spots were best for every condition and took us out on the boat to score the best waves. The food at the lodge was incredible, and I couldn't wait to hear the bell ring for the next meal every day. The vibes were amazing too, with scenic lookouts on the deck where you can watch the swell pick up before paddling out and sipping on some fresh coffee. If you're looking for an affordable and tropical surf trip, Sirena Surf lodge is THE place, with the best hospitality you could ask for. Yew!

More than a surf camp! The owners Greg & Jomar are true hosts when you stay with them @ Sirena Surf Lodge. Besides taking you to world class waves either out front or a 10 minute boat ride to Sandino, the accommodations and food are top notch. Greg is no stranger to hospitality and it shows. Even if you dont surf, staying on this beach is so relaxing and beautiful you wont want to go home. Highly recommended!

My husband, son and I just returned from a week at Sirena Surf Lodge. We had an amazing time! Greg and Jomar know hospitality. Food was delicious and our room was comfortable. The swell was right to have all locations available for surfing – Pipes, the Point, Shacks, and Freight Trains. Our days consisted of surfing in the morning, taking a break, surfing in the afternoon and then surfing at sunset. My husband stated it was some of the biggest waves he had ever surfed. My son enjoyed getting barreled several times. Greg showed us around town and we had time to hunt for sea shells and animals in the estuary. On top of all that, the other guests were friendly and the comradery was enjoyable. It was hard to leave as the trip seemed so fun and surreal. We will be back soon!

Perfect place to stay. Right on the beach, plenty of shade, laid back and a great crew. Food was excellent. Greg and I went fishing and had a blast too. One of my favorite stops in Nicaragua.
