Great food, great staff and really competitive prices. We use Blakeleys regularly and we always have quality fish and chips, always hot, always cooked to perfection and always served by happy smiling staff. Definitely recommend.

I have been to this fish and chip restaurant on several occasions, and I must say I have never been let down yet. The food is fantastic, the portions are very very good indeed. And the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. If you go to any fish and chip restaurant in Brighouse make sure it’s this one you will not be disappointed at all. We have also purchased food from this restaurant to take away and again first-class food could not be happier. Will definitely come back here again, in my opinion it’s the finest fish and chip restaurant in Brighouse.

We heard some good reviews for blakeleys. So we decided to pop in. Good friendly atmosphere. Staff are helpful and friendly. The fish and chips were tasty and cooked just right.

Excellent fish and chips hardly if any grease, love the spam fritters here. Bit dissapointed with the amount of grease on a special though, will stick to normal sized fish in future

Absolutely divine! Was only a quick take out grab of a fish butty, but the fish was well worth the money. It was a big fish and thick too. Not your standard scrawny fish that a lot of chippies cook. The take out had a constant stream of customers from when we entered, to even whilst sat outside eating. If you're ever in town this is the place to go.

Some of the best sausage and chips I've had for a long time. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, the staff friendly and efficient, and the food tasty and fresh. Those I was with who had fish said they enjoyed it. The facilities were also clean and well maintained. If I lived nearer I'd have chips from here every few weeks. Highly recommended.

Honestly the best fish and chips that I know of! The restaurant is clean and tidy and we’ve never been turned away due to it being busy. Tables are easily booked by calling and the choice of food is good. The price is very reasonable but the food is simply the best in its class.

So Hit & miss when I get a takeaway from here. Got fish & chips 2 week ago. 5☆ no complaints. Been for our tea tonight 11-12-23 terrible more like batter & chips the fish that was there was scabby bits. Not a nice white fillet. Service was a disaster 20mins waiting for a poor meal. I've given 3☆ as sometimes it's good sometimes it's Bad. I just never know if it's going to be the good day or the bad day.

Early teatime visit so place was empty when we went in. Recommended by my daughter and waitress asked if we had booked. Didn't know we had to. The service was good, the food very nice and the batter on the fish was just as my husband and I love. Not greasy meal very pleased.

The default fish is Cod if you prefer Haddock you need to let the staff know when ordering. The Cod and chips I had were nice (would have preferred Haddock), cooked to perfection and great value with the tea, bread and butter.

One of the best fish and chip shops in Yorkshire, and certainly up there for gluten free options. Always a sign of a proper chippy - dandelion and burdock.

Have eaten take-away from here for many years. My partner needs gluten-free and it's always been available to ring through first. The gluten free food is always prepared fresh to order. Other family members order from the usual menu and in the event there has ever been an issue with the order, it has always been sorted out without a problem. Sadly the parking was removed by the council right outside the restaurant but there is a pay and display car park and limited parking from the other side in town centre. Certainly recommend a visit but ring through at busy times to avoid a queue.

Excellent fish and chips my go-to place best in town by far. Good efficient service No long waits even with a queue around the corner. Even dined inside excellent service with modest pricing. Must visit all year round.
