Called in today for lunch. Should have drove past. Only four customers in, greeted by a sullen looking girl. Shown to table given menu explained special board on wall. Received two cheese burgers with chips and coleslaw. Burgers dripping in grease, chips tasted of old oil.went to pay wife saw we could have had sandwiches. Told the girl didn't like the burgers, and if they'd have told us we would have had sandwiches. Water off a duck's back, didn't care less.

Absolutely fantastic tomahawk steak … cooked perfectly 👌🏻 , and reasonably priced . Would recommend and will definitely be returning.

We called in for a couple of pints, two Friday early evenings on the bounce. We stayed around 90 mins. The beer was very nice, the atmosphere was friendly and the bar team were happy. 'The Four Sons Inn' earned 5 stars from me for 2 reasons: 1 - An old chap called in for a pint. He struggled in with the help of his stick. An employee - possibly the manager, who appeared to be off duty was fantastic with him. Warm, friendly and in no way condescending, he made sure the OAP was looked after. He also wished us well as we left. 2 - The food being served looked and smelt wonderful. We have every intention of giving the restaurant a whirl, when we've more time.

Attended a family funeral, the food was like homemade and good quality provided by the pub. Good range of beers. Would recommend.

I love going to this pub, it has become my all time favourite. Food is to die for, their drinks selection is brilliant. Lileys Cider is the best… Staff are superb. Service is excellent.

Just been in for the Christmas menu. 2 turkeys and 1 salmon and haddock. Wow it was great. Been here before always a fantastic meal.

My friend & I called on a Sunday, after another place we were meeting at had closed down. We were quickly made welcome, a table found & served. Very friendly service. The food was delicicious & will be meeting here again. Sunday lunch was £18 for 2 courses -mussels in a garlic sauce for starters - excellent, as apparently was the pate Chicken & bacon for mains, had plenty of vegetables, the sauce was slightly too salty for my liking, but friend enjoyed. Desserts seemed to be a good choice & I'm not a dessert person.

1st time and had a lovely meal. Lovely staff, great service and lovely food! Will be back. Thanks

Had a buffet at four brothers after my uncles cremation what a fantastic spread they put on for us , I’m a foodie and couldn’t fault it , made a booking to take my family for Sunday lunch very soon

Tried this place for the first time, highly impressed, on the ball with both gluten and lactose intolerance, wow one of few places I can have a pudding! Friendly and great value.

Went in party of 15 ask if there were still serving food told no. but diners still eating. Had one drink each then left went and had a meal at Toby Carvery plenty to drink. the four sons lost quite a bit of cash that day. will not be going back

Carvery roast beef followed by lemon meringue pie. Only criticisms are cutlery related. In common with most places nowadays the knives are almost useless. Couldn't even cut perfectly cooked cabbage. Potatoes and vegetables served in tureens didn't have serving spoons provided. However the food was so good that I would have accepted a few more slipups and still given maximum stars. 4 of us had 1 course, 2 of the 4 of us had 2 courses and all had 2 drinks each for £88. Absolutely top value.

We ate here last night, to say they were short staffed the service was spot on! The food was absolutely delicious, We can highly recommend the Onion bhajis, pate, lasagne and the best was the smoked cheese stuffed chicken breast wrapped in parma ham nicely washed down with the best kept Coors in the area. Top marks for the staff working on the night, Cam, Rhainnon and Carl (chef) we will definitely be back soon

Ate last night with a party of 6 . The whole experience was 5 star. I personally would return every day for the bargi it was awesome. On a more somber note I had my father's funeral breakfast here. Maggie was so flexible ensuring my young family .lads, were filled up to the top. Well done what a team. Top class

Visited this pub yesterday 25th Nov 2022 as a party of 14,we all had a variety of meals and I have to say the food was smashing, the staff were friendly and premises nicely looked after, I live in Cumbria and visit the area regularly and will use this pub in the future👍

Great little outdoor area suitable as a good end to a local dog walk for a nice tipple - but watch out in a morning as glasses regularly left on outdoor tables overnight!

Called in over the years for a beer but never tried the food so decided to treat the parents and if there happy with the food then I am happy . Fish n chips good portion staff freindly & accommodating I would definitely recommend or call back again .

Greeted with very friendly staff, service great, roast beef dinner fabulous, good portions, veg, mash & roast pots served separately, gravy in proper sized gravy boat. Fabulous all way round, definitely going again.

Had lunch with a couple of mates after a bowling session. We had lamb curry, sausages and mash and a hot beef sandwich. All were really good, not a scrap left, and the service was very friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend the Four Sons.

Went for Birthday meal on a Sunday. Absolutely excellent food. We've followed Karl, the chef, for thirty years so know that his food will always hit the mark! Also a very pleasant dining environment - clean and airy, looks recently redecorated. Service very efficient too. Will certainly be going back.....
