I joined X Martial Arts after leaving a club where I’d trained for 2 years. I did my homework! I had trials at several clubs across West Yorkshire as I wanted to get this right. I’m a 45 year old female so a school with good instruction, excellent disciplines and with students of mixed age ranges was important to me. X Martial Arts excels every club I tried. The venue is of excellent standards with great facilities, not the small drab and gym smelling venue like most. (Sorry but some out there are grim!) The waiting area for parents who have kids who train is spacious and welcoming. The coaches are amazing and have great interaction with all students. The club is definitely fit for digital with everything you need from timetables to syllabuses all on an app making life so much easier. I was made welcome as soon as I walked through the door and am delighted to call x Martial Arts my extended family! I would highly recommend this school as one for all abilities and ages. It’s a fantastic grounded school!!

We have been going to X Martial Arts as a family for over 2 years. Both my boys attend the Ninja Kids Class, my Husband the Adults class and I attend the Ladies Only class and we love it! 1. Instructors are kind, professional, promote manners and discipline but most of all are excellent at instructing. 2. The instructors are themselves world class martial artists, some of whom still compete. 3. Classes are fun and engaging. 4. We feel part of the extended martial arts family. 5. They hold internal competitions for the kids and adults boosting confidence. 6. Give you the opportunity to complete at local and national competitions. 7. They teach discipline, respect, self confidence, team work and safety all of which benefit the kids outside of martial arts. Sally x

This martial arts school is fantastic!! All of the family go so we range over all the classes. My daughter is 3, my son in 7 and I do the adults class. The instructors are so helpful and approachable, they show great discipline to the the students there. My son has been going for approx 2.5 years and it has helped him so much with his focus, discipline and confidence. Great school and would definitely recommend to anyone. My granddaughter has been attending lessons at X Martial Arts in Ossett and absolutely loves everything about it. She has lots of energy and needed something to focus on whilst learning and enjoying at the same time. Martial arts came so naturally to her, we were all surprised at how quickly she took to it and she has grown up so much since joining. All the staff have been amazing, not only with her but with each and every child taking in the classes. I highly recommend joining the club.

My daughter has been attending X Martial Arts for almost 2 years. The instructors are fantastic and my little girl has absolutely thrived here. They encourage good behaviour and self development through focus and discipline. We have recently had a period where our daughter is misbehaving at home and Mrs Britland and Mr Watson have worked alongside us to manage this, ensuring that the high standards which they expect are consistent throughout every day life. I have recently started attending the ladies kickboxing. I have always felt really uncomfortable and nervous about attending exercise classes and have rarely stuck to one. I am absolutely loving the class, I look forward to going and can feel the improvements not just to my fitness levels but also my mood. It is a friendly atmosphere and they really push you to keep going.

X Martial Arts is Professionalism at it’s best. Standards are high. The instructors are outstanding, and deliver excellent training consistently, whilst being friendly, and having the ability to engage children in their learning, in a very positive environment. The studio is spotless, well equipped and always a welcoming place to be!

My son struggled with confidence and being bullied at school. X Martial Arts has given him the confidence to stand up for himself as well as protect his friends. The skills he has and is learning will improve his fitness and confidence and help him with everyday challenges he faces as he grows up. The staff are so polite supportive to all students and parents and I would recommend X Martial Arts for any child or adult.

Joining X Martial Arts has been the best decision I’ve ever made and surpassed all my expectations of any club I’ve tried. My youngest daughter absolutely loves being here, it has been fantastic to see her grow in confidence and strength, whilst having fun with her new friends. This has translated in hard work in her school work and overall attitude to life. The venue has fantastic facilities, high standard and cleanliness. There is a waiting area for parents who have children who train, it is both welcoming and is a great area to watch them train. The instructors are fantastic and have great rapport with all students across all ages. X Martial Arts has a great digital platform with everything you need from timetables to syllabuses, which is all on an app making life much more easy when booking classes. Class are aimed at all ages and start from ages 3-5s, 6-11s and Teen and adults. From the moment I made contact with X Martial Arts I was made to feel welcome. It took a lot to walked through the door, however I’m so glad I did. X Martial Arts is my second home/extended family! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming from the instructors, parents and the students who attend the sessions. I would highly recommend this school it is one for all ages and abilities. Jake started his Martial Arts journey in January 2020 at 4 years old and Coco started in September 2021 when she was 3 and we have never looked back. Both my children and me have made friends for life. Classes are structured, educational and fun but most of all these classes have built up their self confidence, physical ability and discipline. I started training at Ossett XMA about a year ago after watching my granddaughters training here, I am now working towards my green belt, the classes are run brilliantly by world class instructors, the instructors strive to push you to do your best and and are full of encouragement and advice. This is a 1st class school to learn martial arts and also make new friends along the way, 10/10

Such a great place! My son was struggling with his confidence and anxiety and coming here helped him gain confidence and be less anxious and make new friends . He has come on so much since coming here! I struggle massively with anxiety too so It took me ages to sign up but it's the best thing I have ever done. Everyone is so friendly, I have made some great friends and it makes exercising more fun when you do it with people who have now become like family. The XMA staff are all lovely and really good at what they do . They push you to be the best you can be! Highly recommend to anyone :-)

Great place and great people

We cannot recommend X Martial Arts enough! We've been training here for nearly two years now. Both kids love it and look forward to coming every time. The team of instructors is excellent, always encouraging them to do their best, be respectful and considerate. They made so many friends along the way too! Me on the other hand, have never manage to stick to any sports, but started this at 35 and loving it! Adult classes are great but you can also choose ladies-only classes!

X Martial Arts delivers well structured and professionally delivered classes. The venue is clean and well equipped and the instructors are all very knowledgable and encouraging. We train here as a whole family and look forward to every single class. The school is friendly, welcoming and supportive to everyone irrespective of age and experience. As an older novice I love that it is not intimidating in any way. For my young son I am grateful for the values, focus and discipline the school teaches. Great place, highly recommend.

The instructors are fantastic, very friendly and with a very good background in martial arts. It is like a big family here, absolutely love going. Highly recommended!

The facilities are lovely - very clean and welcoming and they have made lots of improvements over the last year that we have been there to continually improve the experience of all those using the facilities both to exercise and as a parent bringing children. The instructors are brilliant and teaching is consistent across the board. Initially my 3 year old joined and now the whole family are members and go to the various classes on offer and have achieved belt gradings. Everything is well run and organised too including having an app to book classes, see curriculum and events in the school.
