Great knowledge everytime we come in for fish so we can slowly build our aquarium. We had been into a different shop in Bradford who were rude and condescending, but we had the complete opposite here, where the staff were happy to share their knowledge and get to know us and what we wanted to build. A lovely place to go for starting a home aquarium 👌

Generally very helpful. Staff have been friendly and knowledgeable in my experience. Excellent range of products to accompany the range of reptiles and fish. Update: Superb. Very accepting of a very excited little girl and more than happy to answer a never ending barrage of question.

Literally can’t stay away! All the staff are really helpful and friendly. We were dead set on starting a reef tank and they were very honest about the upkeep of the tank and fish, as well as advising about corals. The fish are all well looked after and have gone well when acclimating them to our tank at home. Everything has been going well so far and we are almost ready to start adding corals all with the help of HD1 Aquatics. 🐠🐠🐠🪸🪸🪸

Lovely place to get fish. Decently sized collection and the staff are extremely nice and kind and they always give tips and help people. The prices are reasonable too, we paid twenty pounds for 8 fish, however they were massive fish and the smaller dwarf fish are about 1.99 each which is a bargain and if you go to Pets at Home, most of their fish are not well and it is expensive and the staff do not have knowledge. Every fish I looked into, had good condition and some tanks might be off-sale due to them being ill and requiring treatment. But definitely a 5 star as they take care of their fish and a well place ranging from cold-water and fresh-water etc.

Great place. Other types of fish are available that you don't usually find. The fish are all healthy and cared for, and the guys know what they're talking about and give sound advice. Much better to go local than shop at the big brands.

Can’t believe how dam right RUDE some staff members were when i went to purchase fish for my tank. I was spoke to like a fool as if i new nothing, she was miserable and seemed angry in general. I don’t believe she smiled once or gave appropriate customer service i felt as though i was an inconvenience trying to buy from their shop!!

Best place around. Friendly staff who know their stuff. Animals all well looked after. Good prices in comparison with near by shops. Would definitely recommend this place over other pet shops in the area especially pet warehouse (horrible place)

Great shopping experience every time! Staff are very welcoming, knowledgeable, efficient and hard working. Extensive product range at reasonable prices. Highly recommend a visit if you are starting out in keeping fish or are an experienced aquarist or somewhere between these two (like me!).

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff even the younger ones know their stuff, reliable advice and plenty of time to talk and give advice and suggestions.

Great shop great people The only reason it doesn't get 5 is because it is quite small. I don't know much about the aquatic side but the exotic side is small but staff knowledge is really good and they can help with what you need or order in what you wish.

Visited a couple of times the first time just to look the second for advice and to make a few plant purchases. Have to say the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful had no hesitation testing a sample of tank water for me and giving me some very handy advice. I found the aquatic plants to be very healthy and good looking and a really good choice let alone half the price of plants on line. A very very good selection of tropical fish at very competitive prices all other aquatic products at very good prices will not be using national pet shops for my aquarium needs in the future. Thank you amazing business.

Found that it's quite expensive for fish compared to alot of other places I have visited. Other than the price the staff seem friendly enough and have knowledge of what they sell. When I visited I needed female Kribensis but they wouldn't sell me them in pairs of females but in pairs of male and females which I found bizarre.

Absolutely love this place, very helpful, friendly and informative staff, nothing is too much trouble, would recommend HD1 Aquatics to any fish/reptile lover, they have taught me quite a lot on my visits being a novice tropical fish keeper!

Wonderful range of tropical and cold water fish, knowledgeable staff who know their subjects well. Easy to find with own parking. Have exotic creatures too, but fish our personal interest here. Well worth a visit.
