A lovely little shop! Loads of snakes, lizards and tropical fish. All looked very healthy and well cared for. The owner was AMAZING and extremely knowledgeable. Went though in great detail how to set up our new tank and how to ensure we were keeping our leopard gecko healthy! Would highly recommend this store to anyone looking into getting an exotic pet or looking for supplies for their existing pet.

Myself and my 12 year old daughter visited PP for the first time last month. My daughter has two tarantulas, we have always bought their food and other bits from pets at home. PP came up on my Facebook and it seemed like a great place to chat to people that have a passion for their animals. We weren't wrong! Jordan spent a good twenty minutes chatting to my daughter about Spiders and snakes. We left with the tarantula food, more knowledge and a very happy girl who declared she had found her people. Thank you! We have since been back for more food and new enclosures. We won't go anywhere else now!

Fantastic pet shop with an owner who knows what he's on about and is clearly very passionate about what he does. His shop is clean, well organised and you can tell that alot of thought has gone into each of the enclosures he has set up, making them perfect for the creatures that inhabit them. Jordan has a wide variety of animals available with some species even being bred by himself in the shop which I think is amazing! He's very active on social media, sharing what he's doing in the shop, answering questions and showing off the species he has available and it adds a lovely personal touch that you wouldn't get when shopping with a big chain pet shop. Peculiar Pets will always be my first port of call now for my amphibian and reptile needs!

The shop owner Jordan is so welcoming and you can tell he looks after and cares for all of the animals he has, he’s very knowledgeable, kind, and explains things well. I always feel super welcome when I pop in and all the animals always look super healthy, I got my little bearded dragon from him as well as the lighting etc for her a couple of weeks ago, Jordan has helped me a lot with follow up questions and is always happy to help over messages as well as in person! Jordan is just fabulous. This shop is just fabulous. I try to avoid coming as much as I can because once we are in there, we never leave. My daughter loves this store so much. Nothing is too much for Jordan. My daughter has bought several pets from him and when something isnt right she will call him and always gets a response and solution. This isnt just a job to Jordan, it is his life. He truly loves the animals and that shows. His knowledge is endless. We wouldnt go anywhere else for our weird pets or weird pet supplies. We love it here.

I haven't been into the shop as it's quite a drive from me, but I think I will definitely have to visit! I did get a rat snake who was sent by a courier who I received yesterday. I only have positive things to say, I didn't feel awkward asking any questions I had all questions I had were answered really quickly. Such friendly service and even in the middle of a massive shop move I wasn't pushed aside and was always helped. From the Facebook posts you can see the amount of care and dedication that goes into the animals. I absolutely love my new snake will definitely keep my eyes open for more purchases! Thankyou

From the moment I first walked into this shop I could tell that the welfare of the animals is a priority, not just a sale. All the advice and communication shows that Jordan is passionate about not only educating and imparting knowledge, but making sure pets are well set up and cared for once they leave. Now, as a regular customer covering my snakes, lizards and aquariums I could not recommend this place more highly..

Wonderful little shop, with staff having amazing knowledge. Nice range of animals. Very friendly environment, and the store itself is nice and clean, with animals having nice living spaces. Previously had a crested gecko from this place, and would definitely come back here for more animals.

By far my favourite pet shop! Jordan isn't like most pet shops who will sell you anything to make a quick quid. He takes his time to help you chose what fish/reptile you want and gives you as much info as he possibly can to help make sure every animal leaving his care is going to be looked after properly and safely. I came to this place as it was recommended by snakes and adders and when I arrived I thought it was small but don't let that deceive u! There are tonnes of goodies inside hidden away. Jordan is very knowledgeable as this was my very first reptile he went into a great deal of detail and there was no pressure or sale pushing which I loved as I was still uncertain in my choice. In the end I decided on a bearded dragon and the help didn't stop there either after the purchase,he's been there every step of the way . He is just brilliant and replies to all my messages and nothing is too much trouble . The other thing to mention too he's got a good sense of humour ,he makes me laugh . Hoping to get a geko leopard next 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Fab boarding service we have used a few times now for our bearded dragon. Wouldn't leave him anywhere else now as he is well looked after by Jordon and loves the tank by the window to watch the world go by 😀😀

Jayden loves calling in here for a chat and collect bugs for his bearded dragon. They looked after Gizmo while we were on holiday which put our mind at ease. They were fantastic with Gizmo we would definitely recommend. They have helped us from the start with feeding routines etc which has made the whole process so much easier. Thankyou 👍

Great pet shop for unusual pets, purchased a Rankin's including full viv and setup, the owner is very knowledgeable and helped us to get started again with unusual pets after a 20 year gap. Highly recommended and stocks pet food now too.

Absolutely awesome shop the guy in their is super friendly and helpful, its clear he knows a lot about reptiles. The prices are good and you will find a lot of stuff in there cheaper than at other shops. Dude has some proper exotic reptiles in there too.
