Have used this store a couple of times in the last year and a bit. It's basically the same as their other stores, staff are always great though 👌 picked up some hay and bits for my daughters rabbit. Loads of parking, prices seem okay too.

Went today and purchased a puppy play pen young lady that helped me was so helpful and obliging helped me down load app to get discount and carried to car . A credit to pets at home just wish I had got her name .

Shameless sales tactics. Tried to buy 2 rats to accompany our recently bereaved female, now on her own, but the store assistant in charge wouldn't let us have them unless we bought a new cage that cost £106. A new cage that was only slightly larger (and deemed OK for up to 5 rats). Never known upselling this cynical, totally obvious too. Pets At Home are usually pretty good, maybe avoid this one though.

Just bought loads of items for our new miniature Dachshund puppy. We want to give a special mention to Amy who looked after us on tills - she was amazing! Thanks Amy!

Bright, airy and welcoming with a good range of anything you could want for your pet. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. We'll behaved pets are allowed in to choose their own treats.

It's definitely the best one within a 50-mile radius of me, my go-to pet store. Friendly staff, all the animals look happy are well taken care of the enclosures are always super clean

Pets at home is a large space with lots of varied items, everything you could need to start from scratch with most kinds of pets. I would warn that it's quite expensive for a lot of items, you'd be able to get them cheaper online. If it's convenience you're in need of, this is the place for you! I personally was going upstairs to Vets4Pets, my dog was going in for a huge operation 😔. I couldn't have asked for a nicer vet in Keith, the vet, surgeon & owner of the franchise. He could tell before he got to my dog that she was scared, he crept over quietly & knelt down to talk me through what he'd be doing. Keith took lots of time to explain everything thoroughly, he was so gentle & kind to my dog. He even gave her the pre-med whilst I was there so she'd be comfortable knowing I'm there, and because my nerves were through the roof, it gave me more time with her before he had to take her. Nothing like previous vets I've been to where they haven't ever been as considerate to my dog(s) or me. Usually they just bound in like a bull in a China shop not bothering that my dog is petrified.

Brilliant customer service and staff are amazing. Products are great, you get some good discounts as a VIP manager.

Visited vets 4 pets with my kitten for a follow up appointment after she was spayed. From the welcome from the receptionists to the knowledgeable vets, the experience for both owner and pet was great.

I bought some organic Christmas treats for my friends cats and dogs. They were a little expensive but I would rather pay more than buy the cheap, (you don't know what's in it), stuff sold by other places. I got the impression that this store really does care about animals and I found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. A customers black Labrador made me laugh by picking a toy off the shelf and presenting it to it's owner, as if to say "please buy me this" which the owner did, after all who could resist those pleading eyes and that wagging tail. A great place for pet owners and their charges.

It was a visit to the emergency vets upstairs at midnight.. Vets for pets were excellent, very attentive and understanding, definitely use them again.

Not too bad, but could work on stock levels, especially live food that is being sold dead

Used to take the dog to a place in Dewsbury but they changed hands and now not so good. I am not usually a lover of big companies but after going to PAH I am presently surprised. The place is clean, the receptionists are great and yhe vets we have had have been great. We have even signed up for the vaccination plan which saves quite a bit over the year. All in all very happy

Well placed pet superstore. Yes you can buy equivalent stuff a little bit cheaper online, however this place is ideal if you aren't sure what's needed for your pet as the staff are knowledgeable. Top tip - get the loyalty app as there's a 70 day 10% off voucher which helps (as of writing)

My wife's doggy 🐕, Dexter had eaten some Celebration sweets, wrappers and all 🤦🏻 Unfortunately he became sick. 🤢 He needed a stomach clear out and, although £905 later, 😱 he is now fit and healthy Great place, great folk 👍🏻👍🏻 Unfortunately it costs ya 😢😢

Purchased a snail. Not everyday you hear that. Was v impressed (whilst earwiging (pun intended) a lady buying some fish with her daughter. The staffer/ co worker / colleague/ helper / assistant (not sure what the appropriate word is now) took loads of time to go through with them the pros and cons of various fish and quantity the tank could safely take. I thought it is was a "pile em high, sell tem cheap" out fit. But it appears I'm wrong. If "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue" what to buy is you problem then no need to ask for Humphrey Lyttelton or Jack Dee (one for the more cultured older readers there (radio 4)), if my experience is correct, one of the "fishy chaps (I'm sure some stores will have fishy ladies (I suspect not mermaids, but I digress) will sort you out. Anyway suffice to say the snail is doing well, and I will be back to make future purchases.

Lovely staff! it was a little busy but Sarah was super helpful and assisted me as she could see I looked a little overwhelmed with flea & worm products for cats. She was also multitasking helping other customers whilst Making sure to help me also. Out of stock on a few products but not an issue as Can order for delivery online.

Nice to see some of their animals, the store was clean n tidy n the staff were very busy

Helpful, friendly staff and lovely clean store. Maonly shelves well stocked. However, only thing when I visited I was specifically looking for dried dog food for a senior dog and very little to choose from as those shelves were pretty bare. Bit saying that every other time I have visited I've always found what I am looking for. Always reasonably priced. Our dog loves having a browse!

Really good selection of items, much better than other pets at home stores I have visited.

The car park is always busy so make sure you go with plenty of time to get a space. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Plenty of pet supplies but I find they are sometimes over prized so I wait for discount vouchers that come with my loyalty card.

Really happy with the service. Took my dog in for a groom, Millie in the groom room did an absolutely fantastic job. Even the dog was happy :)

Absolutely brilliant service, the gentleman was very pleasant and explained all the different types of flea and worm treatment and helped us choose the right one.

All about making money. Letting children get excited to get their First pet then telling them they can't have the hamster unless we have the cage they are selling at £45 but yet they are selling the exact one we have for sryian hamster! Talking about us through their headsets too. No customer service skills!

Large variation and volume of products. Polite and friendly staff. The only issue is parking as it is located at a busy shopping centre. However you can judge it correctly and get plenty of free spaces.

After an awful experience with another store we came to birstall to see what rabbits they had. We came away with 2 beautiful baby's thanks to the wonderful help we received from Katie! She went above and beyond to assist us in getting everything we needed, heath checking the girls and ringing us up at the till. Huge thank you for all your help Katie!

The staff member, I've forgotten her name my apologies, who helped my daughter choose her pet gerbils was wonderful. She took time, advised her, let her hold them and was so patient. It made the whole thing an experience in itself for my little lady. The products, prices and range of products for such a wide range of pets is fabulous.

Took my puppy that tragically passed away and was met with real compassion. The only downside is having to walk through the entire story carrying our family member in a box. Another entrance would have been better.

So helpful. I visit for goldfish food and accessories. The young lad that works in that department is always a massive help. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
