Booked and paid for my stay online and it didn’t mention anything about paying a £50 deposit. I paid the deposit with my international card, the front desk told me it will not be taken out of my account. When I was checking out they let me know since it’s an international card it will most likely take 2/3 weeks for me to receive my deposit back. I haven’t received my deposit back to this day.

I stayed here not long ago, the interior design is absolutely astonishing. However, there was a mini fridge in the room and they had not mentioned when we were paying that we would have to pay separately for the stuff put in the fridges which was a downside nonetheless it was a pleasure staying here and would definitely come back

A decent hotel in Huddersfield Town Centre, close to rail and bus station if you're from out of town. Bed was very comfy, room was nicely decorated and very clean. Nice bathroom with great shower. Reception staff were friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was odd. No staff about so we waited 10 mins to order a hot drink. There wasn't an option to make your own. Croissants were flat as if they'd been run over! Cooked breakfast menu was reasonable, but we were informed no bacon or pork sausage as it was a halal breakfast. We ordered scrambled eggs on toast and poached eggs on toast. The poached eggs had an overpowering taste of vinegar and were inedible. Meanwhile we had to listen to the chef and waiter effing and blinding in the kitchen. To be fair, we complained to reception about the breakfast and weren't charged, so they dealt with it properly. Just an odd experience. So overall, a decent place to stay, but maybe swerve breakfast!

Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. I feel lucky to have found this gem as it is far better than the other options in Huddersfield I have stayed at. Highly recommended especially for a long stay.

Stayed 3 nights. Beautiful well appointed rooms. Top floor was very hot, but the helpful management was quick to provide me with a different room. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good location, walking distance to all the amenities in town and the main station.

Lovely hotel. Get there early for a parking space as there are only 6. Rooms very clean and slept well. Breakfast experience was a bit odd.

If you're travelling to Huddersfield for any reason or in transit - this is the perfect location and place to stay. Walking distance to restaurants and the Huddersfield Bus Terminal that connects travellers to London and beyond as well as other parts of the UK. The hotel itself was warm, welcoming, quiet, and friendly service with a smile. The rooms were immaculate, clean and comfortable. A little gem of a hotel - the 5 star hotel of Huddersfield at a reasonable price for the quality you get. Don't miss out on this hotel if you intend to stay in Huddersfield any at time.

Hotel is good. Rooms are nice. Stay there for ten night. Breakfast in the first was not so delicious because we didn't get full information for menu. No one informed us for real menu. There was no hooks for towel and glasses in bathroom. Shower cabin was very good. Heating in room was strange for us, not working for all time. No mirror in elevator. Reception is 24h open. During some night there was to loud from other rooms. Iron, iron board and hair dray you have to order for room and get it back when you finish ... windows are above, no enough sunlight in room

Absolute downtown gem. Great experience! Ambiance is excellent. Room was very comfortable and well-appointed. Service (thanks Ellie!) was professional, helpful, and courteous. Will be back again. Would recommend.

Good hotel, central location, limited on site parking. Its a smart, modern hotel with a great atmosphere. But I would appreciate a bed side table. The legroom for the bathroom toilet was crazy small, basically couldn't sit down to do you know what (one guest 6'5" the other 5'8") plus no hair dryer in the room! Don't get me wrong, it's a good hotel with nice touches but I could pay a lot less in a chain hotel and get a more comfortable and convenient customer experience. These guys give maximum effort in a nice building and ambience but an average product. Just my view.

What a hidden gem this place is. Right in the heart of Huddersfield with enough parking for 8 or so cars, the Stay hotel was a real surprise. Greeted by a lovely receptionist who explained the ins and outs of the hotel, we headed to our room on the 1st floor. Each door you go through you are greeted by a different, delicious smell with subdued lighting and great decor. Our room was big enough, although the bathroom was a little snug, but everything was really clean and tidy. A well stocked mini fridge as well as complementary water, biscuits and tea/coffee. Molten Brown toiletries, robes and fluffy towels really do add that extra bit if something and wasn't what we were expecting for the price we paid. The only down side to our room was the lack of ventilation i.e. none! The windows didn't open and there was no AC. Just a small extractor in the bathroom. Sadly in June this made for an uncomfortably warm room. Honestly, can't say enough good things about this place. All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and the hotel very clean and well kept. We've already booked our 2nd stay!

Beautifully designed hotel where the warmth of the interior is matched by the friendliness of the staff. Located in the centre of Huddersfield, The Stay is the perfect base for a trip be it for business or pleasure. Highly recommended as exceptionally good value too. A credit to everyone involved and the blueprint for independent hoteliers everywhere.

The best hotel I've stayed at! The staff, mainly the receptionists are amazing and super friendly! The rooms are perfect and the service was great! I'm not sure about those negative reviews because I didn't experience any of the things noted! If I'm ever coming down to Huddersfield I'll definitely book my stay with Stay Hotel.

I stayed for four nights here. It's right across the street from the beach. I had a couple of issues with booking and the room that were resolved promptly. The staff were friendly and helpful. It may not be the best place in Llandudno, but it was a decent stay.

Room was far too hot and windows painted shut. Fridge in the room was very noisy so I had to switch it off overnight. Service was fine and breakfast reasonable although there was no cooked breakfast available at the time.
