We found a very dehydrated puppy end of August who had clearly lost its mother. We desperately tried to re home him to no avail. We kept him for 11 days and fell in love with him We could not leave him behind so contacted Aimal Hospital for help. They were fantastic from day 1 keeping him for the day when we had to check into our next villa ( they didn't accept pets so we sneaked him in after check in). We and Guiseppe researched the requirements for taking the puppy, Bruno to the UK. Brexit has NOT changed the requirements. DEFRA were very helpful. We needed to get a passport and microchip through the public vet. This could only be done 3 weeks after his rabies vaccination which could only be administered at 13 weeks, and after he had been microchipped. This along with all his other vaccinations were done by Guiseppe at the animal hospital. Clearly we had to leave Bruno behind when we returned to the UK following our summer vaccination. We will always be eternally grateful to the Animal Hospital for boarding Bruno ( at a very reasonable rate) after our return to the UK . Whilst remaining at the Animal Hospital we were sent numerous photographs and updates on both his well being and vaccination progress . He clearly loved his stay with lots of love and fuss being given to him. They trained him to walk on a lead which was well appreciated. Guiseppe helped immensely, by booking our appointment at the public vet for his microchip and passport. For anyone wanting to embark on a rescue it really is relatively easy. Following UK government advice (defra) we will enter the UK from the Netherlands to Harwich. We will fly to Amsterdam with KLM , as Bruno weighs less than 7kgs and his bag is 1 kg he can fly in the cabin under the seat.(€46) . Although the bag is relatively small we have been practicing by taking Bruno everywhere in his bag. He now loves it seeking it out as refuge. We recommend wholeheartedly Guiseppe and the services of the Animal Hospital and can not thank them enough.

THE BEST VET PRACTICE IN THE WORLD! We had the most incredible experience at the wonderful Animal Hospital - with the most professional, kind, knowledgeable and helpful vet - Dr. Giuseppe! As UK Citizens feeling the terrible effect of Brexit - had been so very desperate to obtain an EU pet passport for our lovely little dog, Monty, from anywhere! However - we were so lucky to find Dr. Giuseppe and his wonderful animal practice. He made the whole process so easy and explained everything via email to us. Within around 5 days of my initial email to Dr. Giuseppe explains that we need an EU pet passport - we had the passport in our hands! We had to email over our documents and our dogs documents (animal health certificate/vaccine records etc) and then we visited Dr. Giuseppe at his office for our dogs examination - and then we visited the official vet the next day who provided us with the passport. While we were visiting Palermo, we came accross a tiny puppy lying amongst some plastic bags and rubbish. We could see that she needed help immediately. So we phoned the Animal Hospital in Palermo and they spoke English to us which was such a help. We brought little Poppy (that is the name we gave her) straight away to their emergency department. Poppy was given 24 hours around the clock excellent care and treatment. The hospital kept us updated throughout her stay there. I have never experienced such a wonderful vet. This is one of the best vet clinics I've ever taken my dog to, and I wish I lived in Palermo just so that I could have the team be her vets! The staff speaks great English, and Stephanie went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed. She was so helpful and kind, as was everyone else at the clinic. Amazing team of vets and human beings! I say this because we didn’t even physically visit the location. We live near Catania and our puppy got injured. After seeing the vet in Catania, we still wanted opinions on follow on steps. We called and texted one of the vets there (speaks English very well) and he gave us his professional advice. He also supplemented what medication he recommended for our puppy on top of what the vet in Catania prescribed! Even without seeing him, he still texted a couple weeks later asking how our puppy was doing. Overall, we are very pleased and impressed with the service this vet provides! Rest assured, you’re in good hands with this team!!

We brought our cat in this morning, and everything from the presentation of the spaces to the length of appointment were impressive. Highly recommended for the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. I was able to book a time quickly and brought in both my cat and dog for a dental procedure. The staff explained everything in English and I felt very safe leaving them both there.
