One of the very best fish and chips you will ever have. Cooked to perfection, thin and crispy batter with no oil residue. The haddock was delicious and fresh. A 70 years old family business, the owner is very passionate, informative and kind. We're so glad we found this place. He gave us a free piece of hake, just to get our feedback and promote more types of sustainable fish, which is positive for the environment. Highly recommended

Great Gluten free fish and chips served on Wednesday. I’m not gluten intolerant but my wife is. Nevertheless I also ordered gluten free and I can honestly say that I could not tell that it wasn’t the “normal” serving. Extremely tasty and crispy batter. Will be back.!

Had a craving for fish and chips, I wasn't disappointed. Still crispy by the time I got home. I got the normal sized cod which was huge (see photo). Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Best fish and chip shop in the area, fresh food and great customer service.

When i went to order fish & chip, the owner said make a telephone order so you dont have to wait. It will be ready when you come. On the other day i made a telephone order, and the lady on phone said it will be ready in 15min. When i went there after 15 min, the que is long and they made me to wait half an hour in the que until my turn. Then after they cooked my food. What is the point of making telephone order? Please makesure when you are handling money not to touch the food. When i was waiting i saw they didnt wash hands, and when packing handling the food with hand. The owner is very good. I want to give 5 *. But these things made me upset.

I Previously ony left a 5 star review... What i didn't mention was the fresh lovely food . Family run business that must be supported in a world full of corporate eateries. This place is a source of proper soul food. Go on, put a smile on your face and enjoy.

They don't offer cod and chips together you have to buy them separately. The manager was dismissive so customer service is also lacking

Amazing, fresh, beautiful and quality food. Service lovely and friendly. I drove out of my way and passed 3 other chip shops and so worth it. Feeding a group so had cod, sausage in batter, stake pie and cod bites, all was stunning. Thank you lou and team.

Nice people but unfortunately the cod I had was wet and slimy and didn't taste like fish , the chips were very soggy too . And if you like cod and chips like I do , then you can only but try for yourself . I will give it one more try and if I ain't satisfied the next time I will not be using it again , and one more thing is it is quite expensive.
