UPDATE:
Following
posting
this
review
I
was
contacted
by
the
new
management
(Linda)
at
this
course
to
try
to
address
the
issues.
I
was
invited
back
for
a
complimentary
2
ball,
which
I
attended
on
17/09/2023.
My
previous
review
cannot
be
shown
due
to
the
length,
however
I
had
a
poor
experience
in
April
and
the
rating
is
updated
from
1/5
to
3/5.
New
Review:
I
felt
confident
that
my
previous
issues
would
no
longer
be
an
issue
when
I
attended
the
course,
and
indeed
I
found
all
staff
to
be
polite
and
my
booking
was
quickly
recognised.
The
reason
for
my
current
level
of
review
is
a
reflection
of
the
course
condition,
specifically,
the
greens.
First,
let
me
say
that
the
tee
boxes,
fairways,
bunkers
and
all
other
areas
of
the
course
appear
to
be
immaculately
maintained.
None
of
these
areas
would
look
out
of
place
on
a
top
golf
course,
and
I
would
give
them
top
marks
for
this.
The
greens
however,
are
another
story.
Every
single
green
was
incredibly
soft,
which
given
the
recent
warm
weather
was
extremely
surprising.
In
addition
to
this,
all
of
the
greens
were
disastrously
bumpy.
The
ball
never
ran
true
and
the
pace
varied
from
green
to
green.
This
was
quite
concerning
given
how
good
the
condition
the
rest
of
the
course
was
in.
A
quick
note
on
pace
of
play.
For
a
two
ball,
we
were
almost
5
hours
for
18
holes.
The
chief
reason
for
this
was
the
2
3
balls
ahead
of
us,
most
of
whom
appeared
not
to
have
played
the
course
(or
golf)
before.
I
believe
that
at
a
course
of
this
calibre
there
should
be
more
of
an
effort
to
maintain
good
pace
of
play.
However
this
is
clearly
circumstantial
and
has
not
affected
my
rating
of
the
course.
I
would
return
to
pay
and
play
The
Hertsmere
again
if
I
knew
that
the
greens
had
been
bought
up
to
the
condition
of
the
rest
of
the
course.
