Found Scott's of C online after a long time searching for a good butchers and made my first visit to shop yesterday - and I am so happy! Great selection of meats, friendly and welcoming staff, clean and well laid out store. Although you can order online for delivery, and it is a 40 minute (public transport) journey each way for me, I will definitely be returning to the shop for the excellent experience and produce.

Although I'm based on the wrong side of Wallington for Scotts, I've been dropping in periodically for years whenever the opportunity presents itself as it's one of the only proper butchers left in Sutton/Croydon. Recently, I needed catering for a large event and enquired at Scotts - and was in good hands from the off. On the day (last Friday), Scotts provided everything as ordered to an extremely high standard: sandwiches, salads, quiches, and (of course!) cold cuts, pies, and sausage rolls all beautifully arranged, well packed, and ready to lay out on arrival at the location. All the guests were satisfied - and stuffed! I budgeted £10 a head and that was *more* than enough. Fair prices and good portions despite the tough times. In short, Scotts is an absolute credit to the borough - and always worth getting down to Wrythe Lane for.

Love Scotts & will keep coming back! Great quality meat. We have been having more roast dinners at home during lockdown & have never been disappointed. (Always buy extra to have in sandwiches or a pie in the week) Minted lamb chops are delicious. Sausages are so meaty & so much bigger than the supermarket. Steaks are amazing - have bought various types but sadly only taken a photo of the T-Bone.

Scotts provided the food for our wedding in August 2018, Alan and his team were absolutely amazing! From the start of the process Alan was just fantastic, what he has to offer was out of this world. He helped us tailor what he offers to create a menu that was perfect for us, always happy to tweak things if we wanted to suit our wedding. We had canapes and an exquisite BBQ for our relaxed festival style wedding, he was helpful and informative throughout, friendly and made it seem like nothing was too much of a problem. With the wedding being in the middle of land there was lots to try and get right in order to make sure they had all that they needed but again Alan made this seemless and worry free. On the day they set up and their outfit fitted with our desired feel. The food was delicious and plenty of it too, the main BBQ was incredible, a huge array of meat and gorgeous salads. We had so many people compliment us on the food and nearly everyone went up for seconds too. The staff were fabulous too, always with a smile and made sure everyone was served. We can't thank them enough for helping to make our special day so delicious! Thumbs up all round and we HIGHLY recommend them.

Just love the meat here, really great quality. Great bbq packs for the summer and a great roast in the winter. Just popped in for lunch and loved the baguettes. Don't know what took me so long as I've been going there 3 years.

Good grill normally use there hot counter for a quick baguette. Taking some stars off because the shop ruined my opinions of steak, I always got supermarket sirloins or ribeyes and my friends would always tell me to go to a butchers the meat is so much better, so after work I picked up two prepackaged sirloin steaks from Scotts, these steaks had 0 marbling (something I didn't notice when first picking them up as I was in a rush) and when cooked to medium rare was drier than a supermarket beef frying steak.

A great butchers on your high street! It's a must go once a week. Or every day if you fancy a sandwich or a crunchy salad. Pies, sausages, of all flavours. Meats from mammals, poultry and even reptiles! As a youth I used to weep in the butchers. But no longer. I'm flexitarian and when I want meat....I want good meat. And when I do, I go to Scott's of Carshalton 🐃🐖🐐🐓🐊

We had Alan and his team cater for our wedding in July. We had a lamb spit, with roast chicken and salmon to go with it and all the food was absolutely incredible! Lots of the guests said to pass on their compliments - many of them said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Alan and his team were super helpful leading up to the big day too, it was so good having someone with so much experience and so well organised. Very much recommend!

Alan, who runs Scotts, really made our wedding possible! Not only was he willing to work with our budget, he really looked out for us. His wealth of experience and understanding meant that we was able to enjoy our wedding day without any concerns about anything regarding our catering. We had a wedding of 250 guests and we was told that Scotts have catered for even larger events, based on our experience of having Scotts cater for us, we can vouch that their performance was seamless and efficient and they certainly walked the walk. Alan’s team were friendly and were helpful to our guests and were professional and personal throughout the whole day. This is what we wanted… we wanted our family and friends to feel as if they were at our own home in our garden enjoying a fab BBQ! So many of our guests came up to us on the day and praised us for feeding them really good food and how satisfied their bellies are whilst patting their full tummies! Not only did the food look and smell great they tasted just as good if not better! Planning and organising We took home a taster pack to barbecue ourselves before our wedding day so we could sample what we could expect on our wedding day and to pick which marinades we liked the most! We just loved the minted lamb chops! so asked for more!! We met face to face with Alan several times, which is always nice to do, however he was just as helpful over the phone. He helped us put together a menu from our preferences and budget, advised on certain cuts of meat and how well they do on a BBQ and was always open to changes. Catering aspects aside, from conversations with Alan, I can tell he cares about how your day will go and it isn't just about business. He thinks ahead and takes care of his staff and was always upfront, honest and more importantly grounded in what can and can not be delivered. So whether or not you are looking for caterers for your wedding or party or good food for your own DIY party…just go and buy from Scotts you won’t be disappointed!

The BEST baguettes in the entire world. All the meat we've got from Scott's for BBQs has been amazing too. Really great selection and varieties, even saw Camel in the freezer today!

I was really disappointed by the place and the service. Given the rating I was expecting a proper family Butcher, but instead I found a massive shop with most of the meat in plastic bags. I bought a rib of beef for £35 in a plastic bag that I used to pay around £25 in much better places. Clearly it is rip off and they are not honest guys. If you are looking for a proper butcher this is not the right place.

I first came to Scotts, 4/5 years ago after a very bad experience with Willets in Carshalton Beeches. I'm so glad that I did have that bad experience or I would never have come to scotts, I have recommended loads of people and they all love the food. You know how much your paying, and as people have said the meat is out of this world. Lovely staff and always welcoming. Thanks Alan and your family team, even though I sometimes get you mixed up with your brother :)

Simply the best. I’m so lucky to have this place nearby. I always wonder how restaurant’s get that taste and a lot of it is down to the ingredients. Come here buy yourself a steak go home and cook it you will be amazed at the flavour. I’m always looked after at Scott’s there is so much choice and also a hot counter for lunch

A big thank you to Sarah and team. The food for my brother in law funeral was absolutely outstanding, so much choice it was amazing. Would highly recommended Scott’s for any occasion, definitely will use them again.

Bought a 4kg pork shoulder roast for Xmas day. It was the best meat ever. Cooked perfectly, crackling that would win awards, moist, delicious.

I won't go anywhere else! The meat is always fresh and you are spoilt for choice! The girls and boys are always cheery, so polite and fun! It's a fabulous family run business which I will always support!

Sausages were very good one of the best I've tasted. The beef heart was also very nice and worked perfectly with my Peruvian recipe ....I overcooked the rib of beef but it was still really packed full of flavour!!! Excellent service and excellent meat ...😉

If you need meat for any occasion, Scotts is the only place you should go. This is the place the people in the know go.

Absolutely amazed I had no idea it was so good they do everything from fresh food made to eat immediately... premarinated meat for weekday meals to off cuts for my dog and so friendly couldn't ask for more .... try it u won't regret

Very bad experience. If you are looking for a proper butcher don't go there. This is a massive shop with most of meat in a plastic bags. The service is really bad: price and weight not transparent. You will end up paying twice the price of much better places.
