We came out of our way to come here based on a recommendation of a local. The best duck in the city was how he said it. He was right! I have not had duck this good since I was at a restaurant in Bejing over a decade ago. Based on the smoky tenderness, I would rate this #1. The service was good as well, even though there was a small language barrier. We also tried the blueberry gin and tonic. A little sweet for my liking but went down very easy. I will recommend this place as the go to restaurant for duck in Prague!!! PS the photo only shows half of the duck as my wife and I shared.

If you want an amazing evening out in Prague do not miss this experience. Our waiter was so experienced - really understanding what we wanted! We enjoyed the Pulled Duck Pancakes and Trout with Smoked Potatoes.

This was definitely the best roasted duck I have ever had in my life (having visited even the most famous places for the Peking duck) - so tasty, juicy, with smokey flavour and not greasy at all. I have been following this place on Instagram for a long time and now we have finally made it to Prague... A very old house on the river bank, a former customs house that was tastefully converted to a restaurant, with an amazing wooden coal grill for the ducks. Apart from the best Czech beers one can find a very good selection of the Moravian wines. We were so full that we could not have any sweets but I am sure they were very delicious as well. Great service despite of the restaurant being fully booked. If you cant eat the full portion you can take the rest with you in a box provided by the restaurant. Will surely come next time we are in Prague!

I got this place recommended by a friend and took here my Dutch friend. He was totally amazed by the atmosphere, service and the food! He ordered the duck in the potato burrito and myself as I am vegetarian I had a potato pancake served with sour cream and white cabbage. I highly recommend to visit this place!

One of the best dining experiences in Prague. Duck is GREAT!! Fried pork fellet is good as well, highly recommended.

Delicious daily menu, very friendly staff Update: I've been here now a few times and I need to extend my review and add photos. I never had a bad meal here, the service is the best, the restaurant is clean and looks beautiful and the music makes my day better. And their lemonades are good to die for.

Traditional hospoda / Czech pub serving excellent duck dishes! Their portion sizes are quite large.

Known for the “Best Duck in Prague” and I agree wholeheartedly! Besides the duck, we tried all 3 potato options - Potato Cones, Potato Pancakes with lard, and the Smoked Potatoes with cracklings - all were delicious but we favored the Smoked Potatoes. A surprise hit was the Fried catfish with smoked mayonnaise and horseradish. It was absolutely delightful and highly recommend trying it. The service was excellent and I can’t wait to return!

I travel a lot, and Prague is my home base. I can say I know all good places in the city from various perspectives and cuisines and I'm quit strict. If you want proper food based on some of the most traditional dishes of local cuisine with modern touch, visit Hostinec Na Vytoni. If you're a tourist, you can make it together with a trip to Vysehrad castle/park and spend time on the riverside. Highly recommended.

They were booked for the evening but still made a seat for me. They have an English menu. Prices are very affordable. I had 2 courses and a side =$30. The service was attentive warm and very quick. Food was out in no time at all. The cabbage pancake was phenomenal you would think it's cabbage overload but it's not at all. I actually really enjoyed all the cabbage. I had the trout with potatoes. I prefer my fish with some acidity which was lacking in this dish but I'm just glad there was a red meat protein alternative on the menu. I would secondly recommend this place to friends

I stumbled upon this restaurant by ”accident” with my husband on the way home from Vyšehrad and we just loved everything about it. This was by far the best restaurant experience in Prague (and we’ve been to many different restaurants in the city, including those with Michelin stars…) The staff, the food, the atmosphere, the interior and exterior look, the old time music, the history and the cozy feel of this place was everything you didn’t know you needed. You started thinking about traditions, family and nostalgia and though it was a beautiful, quality place it felt friendly and easy to feel comfortable. We fell in love with the place and immediately made a new reservation for tomorrow night. Can’t wait!

I had a wonderful experience at Hostinec Na Výtoni! The serene atmosphere by the rested dock added to the charm of the place. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making my visit truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and delightful time.

Really good food , super delicious duck . Great service and outside beer garden

I highly recommend this restaurant. The menu is short and concise. They serve mainly duck dishes and beer here. I suggest the grilled duck for 2 people. They have very large portions here. In addition, they have super waiters here. Frank thank you for super service and keeping us company ;) There is a museum in the same building, but it is only open on weekends.
