Very good japanese cuisine. We tasted a meal called Chirashi Don (selection of raw fish on sushi rice) and it was absolutely delicious ❤️ The prices are high, but are definitely worth the quality of the food. The service does not speak much Czech nor English, only Japanese, but it is not a problem at all, we still got everything we wanted. The only minus is the interior design: the restaurant is located on 2nd underground floor of hotel Diplomat and you still feel a bit like you are in a basement. Some elements such as nicer lighting on the ceiling or more decorations in the space (not only the divisions) would help.

This restaurant offers perfect selection of authentic Japanese cuisine prepared and served by native Japanese. They of course offer sushi - and it's perfect, but they have much more than that. Waiters speak no Czech but their English is good and service is excellent - as if in Japan. Prices are higher but not extreme. The venue is located at-2 floor of the Diplomat hotel. You can get hotel parking free if you ask for a voucher in the restaurant and than validate the parking ticket at the hotel's front desk.

We came here 2 nights in a row, great place that serves delicious authentic Japanese food. Quiet and peaceful setting, that sets a relax mood, attentive crew with great service. Highly recommend to have the hotpot during winter when it's cold and wet out there! Nothing but comfort food for an Asian!

They didn't only serve excellent japanese palates but also wonderful service! Everyone was so friendly and attentive. It really feels like you're being in a restaurant in Japan and not in Prague. When we got there, there was a group of Japanese business men on corporate dinner - a good sign! Our stay was closed with a cup of tea on the house. The best dining experience I ever had! They can be hard to find - go to the nearest elevator and go to the floor -2 (underground)

I finally found the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Prague. All fish and vegetables are fresh! Waiters are very friendly and polite. We had a very pleasant dinner here with my family! highly recommended!!

I really like this Japanese restaurant , it has everything I like about Japanese food.I super like the takoyaki, I think I can eat two plates by myself. The sushi is also excellent and the fish is very fresh. The teriyaki chicken is a must have! Tempura is also a good choice！And the store has a lot of authentic Japanese sake, I chose the Dassai , it's best！It's a place worth coming to！

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Prague. Japanese staff and Izakaya vibe. Very nice sets and selection of spirits. The restaurant is inside hotel diplomat and is hard to find.

Food was ok, service was great except the part where they brought us appetizers without telling us we'd have to pay for it, I can't exaggerate how lame that is. 90kc for 0.5L of water is insane too. Feels like a place where they try to scam 1-time customers from the hotel, don't go there

I was really craving authentic aged sashimi (which is ridiculously hard to find in a european city unless you go to a super expensive michelin omakase or sth) and this was literally the only place I could find in prague that came close to what I’m used to eating in korea or japan. It is on the pricier side compared to average dining costs in prague but so worth it. Since the city is landlocked and I havent seen much fresh fish in prague markets they probably need the fish to be specially delivered as well. Tried the Chirashi bowl and it was above expectations. Definitely coming back.

Awesome Japanese restaurant which is hidden in the basement of Hotel Diplomat. We really enjoyed our dinner in this quite location. Food had a high quality and the staff is very friendly as well.

I'm from Japan, and I consider the food quality in this restaurant is very good. It's just as what you would expect to have in Japan, and it's packed with Japanese guests. What I like about this restaurant is that they serve food that tastes exactly like what you get in Japan. They added variety of food ranging from sushi to casual Japanese food. I go to dine at Katsura when I feel homesick, and it's fixed. I would recommend this restaurant, and recommend non-sushi dishes as I consider that's what they're good at.

The food has gotten better 🤤 The tempera set was more amazing than last time. I'll just go back for this! The "umeshu rock" drink was the tastiest I've ever had there, although more expensive, it wasn't watered down at all. 🩷 Sushi was fresh. 🍣 🍱 However, if they serve you an "complimentary" appetiser, although delicious, they'll charge you for it. Anything extra (like extra pickled ginger, wasabi, etc.), it'll be an extra 50kc for each at least. Service is absolutely amazing✨

It is still a great Japanese restaurant, luckily that never changed. It is expensive, offers good variety of Japanese food and always the freshest and highest quality of ingredients.

This is a true hidden gem. 100% authentic Japanese cuisine and atmosphere. We had really fresh sushi with some exotic options (mackerel is very rare to find here in Prague). Also authentic hot pot with kimchi, and amazing fresh tempura. Highly recommend!

Authentic Japanese cuisine that offers much more than just sushi unlike most other places in Prague. Location is great, about 3 min from Dejvicka metro in the underground of Diplomat hotel.

The food is very good. I think this is the best Japanese restaurant in the Czech Republic. Japanese ingredients are very authentic. And the service attitude is very polite. It's a traditional Japanese restaurant. Very recommended.

Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, fresh sushi, yummy food. I recommend Wagyu Japanese steak 🥩 It was awsome😍😋!!! I love it!
