I
took
two
of
my
rings
to
Randall's
in
November
last
year.
Initially
I
asked
for
a
quotation
for
repairs
but
after
two
weeks,
several
unanswered
telephone
calls
(with
no
ability
to
leave
a
message)
I
went
back
in
store
to
chase.
I
was
told
that
their
jewellery
who
carried
out
repairs
was
moving
premises
and
had
not
told
them
about
it
which
I
found
to
be
odd
but
after
chasing
him
they
offered
me
a
quotation.
I
had
no
other
price
to
compare
it
to
and
as
they'd
had
my
rings
already
for
2
weeks
with
no
action
I
decided
to
go
ahead.
I
was
told
they
would
be
back
within
a
fortnight.
2
weeks
later
after
receiving
no
further
updates
I
went
back
in
store
to
be
told
they
hadn't
been
done.
But
after
yet
another
phone
call
they
promised
they
would
be
back
the
following
week.
I
went
in
again
to
collect
them
but
it
became
apparent
that
the
class
on
one
of
the
ring
had
been
left
elevated
so
it
was
catching
my
clothes.
I
mentioned
it
and
they
agreed
to
have
it
sent
off
again
to
a
different
jeweller
to
get
the
issue
rectified.
They
promised
some
urgency
as
I
had
been
waiting
for
weeks
by
this
point
and
a
few
days
later
i
got
a
call
to
say
it
was
back.
After
collecting
it
and
only
wearing
it
for
24
hours
I
noticed
some
sharpness
on
the
ring
and
after
closer
inspection
it
became
apparent
that
2
of
the
claws
had
completely
sheared
off.
Again
I
returned
to
the
store.
I
was
offered
a
further
repair
by
yet
another
jeweller
however
at
this
juncture
I
had
completely
lost
faith
in
their
promises
and
workmanship.
Luckily
I
didn't
lose
any
diamonds
from
the
ring
when
the
claws
snapped
off
but
this
could
easily
have
happened.
I
was
given
a
refund
and
took
my
business
elsewhere.
Not
only
have
I
gone
on
to
receive
fabulous
service
with
a
neighbouring
jeweller
the
cost
was
significantly
less
than
Randall's
price.
The
staff
at
Randall's
are
all
very
nice,
but
their
failure
to
keep
me
updated,
resulting
in
several
trips
into
store,
lack
of
availability
and
lack
of
knowledge
about
their
repair
guy,
like
not
knowing
he
was
moving
premises
came
across
as
very
unprofessional.
I
would
not
recommend
for
jewellery
repairs
at
all.
