We tried an overload of food from Gyro, Kafta, Shawerma, Rice, Fattoush. The Taboulleh was so fresh and had a very nice lemony taste. ALL the meats were DELICIOUS but I think the gyro and rice was my favorite. The gal in the back cooking was so kind. And the gal working the register was so helpful in telling us where all the hookah lounges in the bay were after we were finished. Loved her!! She was so sweet and very helpful! I look forward to coming back here to eat and looking forward to nice warm nights to come so I can enjoy the outdoor seating.

First time here. Medhat warmly greeted us and as first time customers he suggested the kabob entree, chicken entree and the baba ganoush. Starters We had the recommended baba ganoush which was fantastic. Great texture, not too smokey and you just want to eat it for dinner with the pita bread. We also had the spinach pie. A soft golden dough stuffed with mushroom and spinach. Also very tasty. Would love more filling because we liked it a lot. Entrees My husband ordered the lamb kabob. The meat was very tasty and tender. He commented on how well he liked the grilled green peppers. The sauce that came with the entree put it over the top. It is a delicious garlic sauce that you want to put on everything. I had had read about the falafel so I had to order the falafel entree. A very generous 6 pieces that I could not finish. Served with a seasoned rice and tahini. Both entrees came with a choice of lentil soup or salad. It was cold outside so we opted for the soup. Warm, tasty and just right to start the meal. Overall, we like Shish Grill and look forward to our next meal. Next time we will save room for dessert!

A little hole on the wall for middle Eastern food. The family is from Lebanon and the food is delicious. I had a beef and lamb shawerma with seasoned fries. It was spicy and delicious. Love to do lunch here when I am at our home office in San Ramon, CA.

My first time, here. Shish Grill is a town favorite so had the opportunity to stop and try it. It's pretty flavorful. Lentil soup snd Chiicken Shawerma Sandwich. It's sharable food. I put a fork next to Sandwich It's a lot! Service is awesome and very, clean and open. Has outdoor dining as well. Also has baklava! On the menu. It is pricey but Worth it! The Chicken Shawerma is light with a thin flat bread. Is not too spicy, garlic sauce, but it's subtle and so good. It is the kind of sauce you want in everything. Compliments the chicken. Also, the pickles, and it had a tiny bit of tomatoes and lettuce. I am not a pickle person. Pickles were crisp and tasty! Not a lentil soup person. Folks-- it was very, good and flavorful for lentil soup. I loved it! I can see why Shish Grill was voted the best! Somlething for everyone taste buds.

I haven’t had Mediterranean cuisine this delicious in a long time, the food was exquisite and you can really taste how fresh all the ingredients are. Truly a comfort food with every dish reminding me of my own mothers cooking. The price is very fair considering the quality of food and preparation. Service was impeccable and I felt very welcome the entire time. Staff is extremely kind and generous, I am definitely a regular now. Best Mediterranean restaurant in San Ramon by far.

5 Stars ! and wholeheartedly agree with the Best of San Ramon 2023 Award ! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Over 7 years experience Dining-In and ordering Take-out! Think over 35 visits for Lunch and the Couples Dinner ! Every friend and extended family member love Shish Grill. Here is why I Rave about this wonderful place R - Recent visit had the chance to meet both Chef Nancy and Gus. Excellent owners who deeply care about the quality and ambiance. A - Always just like the first time I ordered a menu item. Basically consistent mix of flavors that tantalize the palate and large entree portions that could be shared between 2 to 3 people V - Very large portions, consistently. Had to take two-thirds of my Spicy Chicken home E - Eggplant or specifically the " baba ganoush " My favorite each time I visit. It has the flavors of rich & smoky eggplant, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic plus Chef Nancy's love & caring. One, two, three, four, FIVE Stars ! I approve of this rating, Jay M.

Everything was FRESH. The lentil soup, the hummus, the pita bread, the spinach pie, the fried trout!!! The fresh trout was a standout. Friendly counter service. This place is a standout among a sea of eating establishments that serve you premade frozen food; Shish Grill is like your Lebanese grandmother is in the kitchen. If I had known it was going to be this good, I would have taken a picture before we engorged ourselves. 😁

We eat Middle Eastern food all the time but were amazed by this little place. The Lebonese mousaka was the best I've had. And the spicy chicken, not so spicy was soothing good. All recipes are handed down from grandmother in Lebanon. So recommended! And the little beef filled pastries vanished quickly.

I went there last week, I tried the shawarma plate with rice. The food was really delicious, the meat was very well seasoned, and the lady who took my order was very welcoming. My only issue was the portion size, it was too small for me, but other than that everything was great.

Absolutely amazing meal, I have been looking for quality Mediterranean food around this area for a while and I am glad I stumbled upon Shish Grill. I had ordered the vegetarian plate alongside tabolulah and I have to say it got me nostalgic of the way my family used to make it back home. Great service at the front. Lentil soup was tangy and so flavorful. The shawarma shish grill was quite a large quantity, but not "spicy" as advertised. We all have different tolerance for spicy. Overall it was good, hoped a little more char/grill taste in shawarma, and that it was thinly sliced vs what seems to be sauteed chunks. Do call ahead for Monday/Tuesday daily specials as they make those fresh only on advance orders (March 2022)

We did not get any pita bread or hummus with the $19.99 entree. Falafels were too fired and dry. Felt like a thick burnt layer outside and dry inside. I didn’t want to go back for pita bread. Dal soup had much oil. It was too pricey for vegetarians and vegans. I hope yogurt was used in the dip instead of sour cream but I didn’t try. It was meant to be tahini. However others liked their chicken entrees.

Like the food here. It’s a decent size restaurant with outdoor seating as well. First time sitting in eating here. The place was dirty with messy and dusty tables. They also had a big party going on, probably their own people because the kids of the party were constantly running in n out of the restaurant. They were pulling any number of drinks from the fridge, messing with it etc. They were going in the kitchen and touching whatever they wanted with zero supervision from any adults of the party or the restaurant people. Anyways now the food. I enjoyed the food here. It was flavorful and filling. Special mention of the lentil soup they do as a side which is just amazing. The falafels were gigantic and yummy. Forgot the name of the meat dish which I ordered. The wrap was huge and good too. For the food taste and value for money it’s a nice place. But this is not a place where you want to dine in and enjoy, it’s very basic that way. Would go again though!!

Came across this place last month through Yelp as I was looking for middle eastern food in the area. I'll be direct, this place has amazing food and if you are reading this...well, you just figured out where to go for lunch or dinner now😋 I'm one who doesn't eat a lot of meat but when I have Lebanese food, I always order a shish taouk (plate or sandwich). So I tried their Shish Tawook with rice. ..to see how this place stacks up in my taouk department: I got hooked! I just had the same thing again tonight, this time I made sure to take a picture to post with my review. Servings are great sizes (I'm beyond full right now lol), taste and flavors are just perfect, service was fast and efficient (20 minutes for my online order). You can't tell from the container so I poured my food on a plate (12"); they serve a vey generous amount of their delicious Lebanese rice!! Thank you!

Delicious Authentic Lebanese Cuisine! I've tried every restaurant in the Bay Area and this one is by far the Best. Every dish is cooked with Love by the chef & owner Nancy (and family). Lentil Soup is Flavorful, Babaganoush Is like no other, Savory Kabobs and hard to find Lebanese Dishes are all found at Shish. Next door you can shop and find unique foods at their Middle Eastern Grocery Store. My little daughter eats everything too. On her first birthday we ordered a traditional Lebanese Dessert Ashtalieh. You must try it!

This has become a regular lunch stop for my husband and me. I love the Fatoush salad (take it next level by asking for the spicy beef and lamb to be added if you do meet. I regularly get the tabouleh. It's generally good but sometimes the lemon can be, well, super lemon. I usually order it with the hummus and they pair well together. The lentil soup is really satisfying. Bright notes of lemon give a satisfying tang. The grape leaves are delicious, I like that they're served warm. My husband likes the Lamb Kabob, although I think it resembles something terribly unappealing. He gets it every time though, do it must be good. My only complaint is the soda fountain always seems to be off kilter, either not enough syrup going in or the wrong soda comes out if the machine (I git diet out if regular). But honestly, I shouldn't be drinking that stuff anyway, so last time I just got a pellegrino) Bref: love it, great flavors, nice patio for outdoor lunch.

Went here to try somewhere new based upon the great reviews. Not sure what happened, maybe they were having an off night? Quoted 40 mins for take out, showed up a few minutes early. When checking in they said they were boxing up my order. Sat down to wait and after 20 minutes I tried to check back in with them. Waited another 5 minutes while they helped other people, while looking at my order getting cold on the counter. I was able to get the attention of one of the workers who confirmed it was my order, started bagging it up, then walked away with no explanation. After another 5 to 10 of waiting, the cashier said he had no idea whay was going on with the other guy and said my order was complete and finished bagging it. I double checked with him that it had everything, but it did not. It had no pita, even though we ordered extra. My wife's plate had no rice, and her salad was dry. My shewarma was okay. There are better options in the area.

Legit, five stars, tell your friends and family. Food is on point. My go-to is falafel sandwich, soup on the side, and ashtalia for dessert. Get the ashtalia. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the side dish (soup) that comes as part of your meal is so good. I would it eat as an entree. Also great that they have a great market where I can get my labne and MID EAST brand canned pickles while I wait for my perfect falafel sandwich. Get the ashtalia. Family-owned, warm and friendly place. I went into the shop the other day and the son at the register gave me great product recommendations. Get the ashtalia. I love this place.

This is the best Mediterranean place I've been to in a long time. Hands down. My family is Armenian, so we know our shish kebab, and this place knows how to do it. And the salad?...fantastic. Where do I start?! The food was bursting with flavor, the portions were very generous, prices reasonable, outdoor seating area very comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We got the Saturday special; Maklooba- authentic and delicious, tabbouli- literally mouthwatering, and I don’t say this lightly because as a Lebanese I have very high standards for this dish and have almost always been disappointed in tabbouli at restaurants. Baba ghanouj, lavash wrap, lentil soup- all were SO good! Thank you💚
