Overall we had a good experience at this camping! We could choose out spot between 3 different areas that have 3 different prices. 23/night (we were 2 people, a car and a small tent) was the lowest but the spots felt abandoned in the back of the camping. We choose for closer spots for 29/night (they also had some for 31/night). We feel that this is a bit overpriced for mid-September. They have many grilling areas with nice wooden tables where you can sit and have a chill meal. They have a nice pool, but a super small market where they have just some essential dry food plus a couple of tomatoes. The bathrooms and the showers were many and clean. Big plus is the washing and drying machines room where you can pay by card (5€ for a 44min wash). Regarding the area, we felt that the city was quickly expanding with many constructions areas all around, but the city center is quite cute. The beaches around are also very nice and it is possible to walk pieces of the fisherman trail between beaches. There are many spots were to watch the beautiful sunset. A bit pricy but overall recommended!

Good points: Very good facilities being constantly cleaned by excellent staff. Good sized swimming pool. Great location: close to the beach which is lovely. Close to the town which is touristy but lovely. Bad points: Overpriced restaurant on the site and on the beach (€14 for two very small tacos but all Porto Covo is generally overpriced ). Missed opportunity with the on-site supermarket, very underwhelming Huge disparities in pitch sizes and quality- make sure you go and have a look at the pitch you’re designated as they can HUGELY vary. Overall we enjoyed our stay with two 10 year olds. Very safe place and the beach and swimming pool certainly kept them occupied.

We absolutely love this campground! Very clean, great facilities, wonderful staff. The restaurant is outstanding and the pool on excellent hotel level. 👍 We will return this fall for the third time and plan to come back in spring! Our favorite campground in Portugal…

We stayed 1 night. 1 car, 2 people, 1 tent 34€. We had to stay in zone D, which was quite far from the wc as they closed the facilities next to zone D,E. This meant a huge line to the showers as there weren't enough shower rooms for a full campsite. The facilities were very clean, though. Our tent was under eucalyptus trees, which was very nice. Next to this camp you can find beautiful beaches.

Good location, very clean facilities and friendly staff. The only thing we disliked was that they give you single use takeaway cups in the little camping market/cafeteria even though you drink it there. That is creating a lot of unnecessary waste in times of environmental consciousness. If you don't want to be washing dishes, just ask the campers to bring their own cups to the café :-)

Probably the best campsite I have been to. We stayed 2 nights with a tent in their free area. The best showers and sinks with a heat adjusters and no buttons you need to press to keep the water running. Big enough pool to swim with a seperate kids’ pool. Pitches are nice, all campsite is well maintained and is beautiful. Has a small shop with all you may need inside, if you want warm pastries for breakfast better come when they open cause you may not find any more left if you don’t. All the activities are on their website. The only thing I would like them to improve is to add the crossbar in the fitness area for the pull ups. Good location for a beach retreat, wonderful small town with lots of seperate beaches. Did I mention reasonable price? Yes, I think the price is very good for such a high quality campsite.

We are here in a motorhome, so cannot comment on the rooms, the toilets and showers are spotless and there are lots of both. There is a lovely pool area and a nice bar and restaurant, the staff are friendly and helpful. 21€ a night with electric can't complain we would definitely stay again.

Really overrated. We were staying with a tent and two kids, 45 Euro a night. Washing facilities in the open camping area were out of order for many years already, meaning a 8 mins walk to shower or wash dishes. Men's showers all seven days of our stay dirty, full of hair etc. Staff at mini supermarket never ever smiled and seemed always annoyed by customers. Camping area itself felt more like a refugee camp than a nice campsite. We came from Zambujeira, where we paid half the price for a much nicer experience in all regards. On the positive, porto covo is amazing and the beaches outstanding.
