Gorgeous monument of World War Two. It exemplifies all the sacrifice that men and women made to fight tyranny. A truly inspired setting with a very powerful message. A highly recommended visit.

It’s located just along the riverfront, you can’t miss it. The memorial is named “A World Apart”, you’ll see the Earth is split in half. This exhibited the divide between the European and the Pacific wars. If you look closely inside, you see the names of the deceased heroes that fought for this country. This was definitely one of the most unique and magnificent memorials that I’ve ever been to.

This is a great memorial of generation that is being forgotten by many. This part of history is not all Rose's and sunshine, however some great men and women accomplished great things for our country. We need to be sure we remember the sacrifices made, and the great things that came from a terrible time. Memorials like these will help to preserve that history, while honoring the men on the battlefield who gave up so much.

My dad, who served in the USMC South Pacific loved this memorial. He visited with Honor Flight and was extremely impressed.
