I stayed here 4 nights in June. From the moment I walked in exhausted from an early transatlantic flight I was greeted by warm smiles by their day crew. I was lucky that my room had been vacated already & the team assigned it to be cleaned first for me. Monica, Vanessa, and Javi had to be one of the friendliest and efficient front desk crews I've ever had at a hotel. They saw to my every need, helped me plan my days & my nights. I can't say enough good things about these 3. They did all that with genuine warmth. They are the best! The former mansion is a piece of art to stay in. My room was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. I had the only terrace room in the hotel. A luxury bathroom usually found in somewhere more expensive. Downstairs was a comfortable lounge area which serves complimentary small sandwiches and snacks in the afternoon into the evening. A nice small bar. Breakfast in the morning cost 19 euros but it had fresh orange juice, nice coffee, large assortment of foods AND a cooked to order breakfast. Join their rewards program - I got a discount on my room AND 10% off any food so my breakfasts were 17 euros. The location is perfect - within walking distance to all the central sights & restaurants & bars yet was quiet.

Fantastic hotel. We stayed here only two nights before heading off to other parts of the country for our honeymoon, and we absolutely loved it. The staff is so kind and helpful, and they had great attitudes when helping us with anything we needed. The location is unbeatable. It’s in the best neighborhood in Madrid city center, in my opinion. Super close to many plazas, parks, museums, bars, and restaurants. We didn’t hear any noise from other rooms or the street during our stay. The room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. We loved taking the gorgeous staircase up and down any chance we got, but there’s an elevator as well. And the common areas were stunning. Everything was very clean as well. The hotel truly left a great impression on us both. We ended up staying at a different five star hotel in Madrid at the end of our trip, the nights before we left Spain, which was okay, but we sincerely regretted that we were not back at Catalonia Las Cortes. I cannot wait to stay here again!!

A hidden gem! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The building itself is a beauty, rooms are cozy and spacious. Price is good too. We enjoyed the location but most importantly the staff was top notch. Thank you!

In the heart of Huertas and close to Museo del Prado and several nice restaurants, walking distance to Plaza Mayor, an old extremely nicely renovated luxury hotel. We loved it and we were welcomed with a drink and finger foods. Loved it!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay in June 2023. Rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. The hotel’s location is wonderful. The staff was all friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to Javi at the front desk who recommended two wonderful restaurants and went above and beyond helping me sort out a train ticket issue. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends.

Very nice hotel in excellent location - close to Puerto del Sol, Prado, Atocha and lots of great restaurants and bars. Very calm and quiet, no street noise, super comfy, large beds - we slept so well. Staff and service excellent. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel. Great location. We had the standard room which was perfect, except maybe for the AC that was a bit loud (turning it of was not an option in july...). Besides from that it was a quiet room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Don't miss to check out the building with a lot of interesting history in itself. Extra plus for the complimentary snack at the bar in the afternoon :)

Checked in with Javi and he not only reviewed the hotel amenities with us, He also gave us a map circling all the sites we should see and going over everything. Reception area, bar area and sitting area all very lovely. Beautiful original staircase up to our room on the third floor. Our room was spacious with high ceilings and a large comfortable bed. Plenty of lighting and French doors overlooking a side street. Plenty of plugs for charging all of our electrical devices, complementary tea and coffee for the morning and a nice big bathroom with tub/shower and great water pressure. Location was terrific midway between the Prado and the palace. Javi made reservations for dinner for us and had great suggestions for other eateries.

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Good sized room. Free snacks good for the gap between lunch and evening tapas. Friendly, helpful staff. The only criticism is that they tout their sustainable credentials but then change the sheets and towels every day, which is totally unnecessary. And unlike most other hotels I have stayed in there seems to be no option to ask them not change them.

This was our first visit to Madrid, & the hotel ensured it was very pleasant. We were upgraded to a suite from a superior room. The suite is spacious, & well appointed as you'd expect. Although our room had 3 French doors to balconies, the room was well sound proofed & no street noise disturbed us. The bed was fairly comfortable & the bathroom was spacious. The hotel's buffet style breakfasts are well-cooked & delicious. We'd have a hearty breakfast & then only require a light lunch while sightseeing. The hotel staff are exceedingly friendly while professional. They understood our faltering minimal Spanish & some spoke English which was very helpful. The hotel has set a very high standard for the rest of the hotels to meet during our European holiday!

We stayed in an elegant junior suite with a very comfortable large king bed. The location is excellent, close to everything we wanted to see and the staff are extremely friendly helpful in suggesting restaurants, booking reservations, etc. We enjoyed our stay in this clean, quiet and comfortable hotel very much! They looked after us.

Fantastic location - close to many restaurants and sights and very close to the museums. Our room was small but had everything we needed and provided a comfortable quiet place to sleep while steps away from the action. The staff was friendly and helpful too.

We will come back! Great location, rooms, service and breakfast! You can walk to almost everywhere. Very close to historic district and main attractions. There are restaurants and tapa bars everywhere around it. Highly recommend it!!!

I stayed at this hotel for four nights and our stay was near perfect. We had a huge room with a very large bed, lots of space to move around, a very good desk and additional chairs, a well-appointed bathroom and huge walk-in shower. It is located just a few blocks from the Prado and two blocks from Plaza Santa Ana, with lots of restaurants. They also have free snacks and coffee from 2 to 8 pm. Most were very good, although the soup was not good tasting. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel situated in a former palace, impressive details and a very nice atmosphere. Superior room is a fairytale, staff is very friendly and professional. Location is superb , near plaza de santa anna ( flamenco en outside terasses) and on walking distance of everything that is of interest in Madrid. This hotel is something you will return to!

Service, location, cleanliness and rooms were all fantastic. Like any big city hotel, the basic rooms are on the smaller side but the junior suites, while a bit more expensive, are totally worth it. Double the space and a bed that was even bigger than a king and super comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful and updated with great water pressure but i find the shower glass partition to be a bit undesized which makes it difficult to not splash water all over the place, bit its not even close to a deal breaker. The staff was so helpful and welcoming, and the entire place is super, super clean! Kudos to the maintenance staff! The location is ideal, just off the very busy Santa Ana Square but not so close as to be noisy. We were on the first floor and even on a very busy Saturday night in town we were not disturbed by street noise. The breakfast is expansive, probably a good price for what you get, but theres plenty of cafes very nearby if you just want a coffee and a delicious pastry. See my Brown Bear review as an example. In the afternoon they have free snacks (just ok 😐) and free fresh coffee (excellent 😋) . Highly recommended!

We had a choice for our last night in Madrid before an early flight the next morning: stay close to the airport, or stay in central Madrid and enjoy one last evening in that amazing city. We picked the latter and are so glad we did. This hotel is steps from the Plaza Santa Ana and everything else that makes Madrid a truly vibrant city after dark. The common areas of the hotel are efficient and thoughtfully laid out, the room was comfortable and well appointed, the bathroom was modern with many complimentary toiletries, and the bed, pillows, & linens made our last sleep in Madrid a deep and peaceful one. This fine hotel is definitely on our list of places to stay on our next trip to Madrid, which can't come soon enough!
