My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Sunset. Spacious bedroom and bathroom topped by a glorious balcony to view a series of majestic sunsets. Friendly staff and lovely terrace for pre-dinner drinks. Enjoyed the spa even if not everything was in working order. One small gripe, our daughter joined us for a few days but her room was at the back overlooking the parking lot which was quite noisy early in the morning with bin collections. Unfortunately single travellers don't often get the same quality as couples and families. That said I would certainly recommend the Royal Sunset hotel as a great base to explore Forio and the rest of Ischia

Better than most spas I’ve seen in hotels before. Rooms are clean and fresh, not the most modern, but are comfortable and has everything you need. Nice staff at the front desk that are very helpful as well as the spa staff.

Das Hotel ist frisch renoviert, wirkt aber leider sehr steril und kühl, es fehlt an Dekoration in den Räumen und im Gang. Die Möbel im Zimmer wirkten billig, dafür war der Blick auf das Meer und die Lage wunderbar.

Great hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Walkable from the nearest bus stop and close to a lot of great restaurants. This was the perfect place to relax in on rainy spring days and also a good base for exploring the island when the weather got better. Excellent spa facilities and a great breakfast. We had a sea-view room and despite the mixed weather the place lived up to its name and we enjoyed the sunset from the balcony every night with a glass of wine or spritz. The room was spacious and despite being above the restaurant very quiet and private. The only thing that wasn't perfect for us was that the beds are very, very hard but that's a matter of taste I guess. Would certainly recommend.
