4/5 Weekend W. 9 months ago on Google
Chepstow
Castle.
We
visited
Chepstow
Castle
on
a
Friday
lunchtime
during
summer
holidays,
and
to
be
fair,
it
wasn't
really
that
busy.
There
is
a
sizeable
car
park
right
in
front
of
the
Castle
which
was
very
handy.
Pretty
cheap
too
really.
The
entrance
to
the
castle
was
a
very
short
walk
up
a
gentle
incline.
It
cost
less
than
£10
each
to
enter
and
is
free
for
CADW
members.
There
are
information
boards
dotted
around
the
castle
telling
you
all
about
the
history,
construction
and
purpose
during
its
habitation.
You
can
really
explore
here
and
its
quite
a
large
Castle
ruin.
There
are
lots
of
areas
to
walk
around
and
many
levels
to
investigate.
We
even
made
our
way
right
to
the
top
of
the
tower,
some
5
stories
up.
Cool.
There
were
things
to
do
around
the
castle
like
badge
making
and
medieval
games
to
play.
Quite
clearly
somewhere
you
can
bring
the
kids.
There
is
also
a
nice
gift
shop
inside
the
castle
walls
which
was
staffed
by
a
very
nice
lady
who
was
very
polite
and
happy.
There
is
enough
pathway
to
accommodate
wheelchair
users
and
minimal
ability
people
so
everyone
can
enjoy
the
Castle.
We
had
a
great
time
and
we
actually
learned
a
few
things.
Very
much
worth
a
visit.
