My father was a patient of Dr Santosh Kumar, who has gone through double knee replacement operation under him. Please note that he personally does not do any operation, does not come to floor or talk to patient. He is just there to recommend patients for knee surgery and then his team does all of the activities on behalf of him. We did not see him or talked to him during the whole admission time. He does not come to floor even. His team was only did the OT. After OT, only the sisters informed us that OT is done and handed over the empty packets of knee transplants.(no interaction with doctor). Even during surgery follow ups, only his junoir doctor saw him. The hospital itself could have been organized in better way. The beds are used are of old days, same lifts are used for patients and visitors which make you wait for long even if you want to go just 1 floor (no stairs). And remember only veg food is provided to the patients. But the staffs and sisters watching over my father were helpful and never showed any attitude. Wish it is same with all the members of the hospital.

Got my mother admitted under Dr. Santosh Kumar who is an exceptional orthopaedic surgeon. Recommended to anyone suffering from bones or joint issues. Supporting nurse are also good and well mannered. Rooms are okay. As a hospital, Bellevue Clinic falls behind other private hospitals like Charnock. Needs maintenance and the staff also need an upgrade Half of them don't know what's happening around. Has a beautiful park right next door and a decent canteen as well.

Worst hospital or clinic ever seen in my life. They take charge of Rs.100 every time, Rs.50 even for family members of patients visiting OPD. This is just looting. As for doctor and nurses, they are the most irresponsible and misbehaving ones. Please do not risk your life or family members life here. All they are doing is business.

I am extremely disappointed with the hospitality of the hospital. From such premier and renowned establishments, it is really unfortunate. I admitted my mother in law in this hospital for knee replacement and faced a lot of harassment here from the day of admission to discharge. No sufficient staff are there. Sometimes, Aayas are doing the duties of sisters. Less care for the patients and sometimes neglecting the patients also. Worst attendance service. For going to Bathroom or any reson they hardly to attend the patient inspite of calling so many times and cleans nuisances after long time. Cabins are very contested, and it is very difficult to move patients. The quality of food is most ordinary . They charge so high billing, but compared to that, there is a huge lack in their hospitality, services, promptness, professionalism, and expertise . If the authority doesn't look into the matter early, the hospital will surely lose its previous glory.

High class hospital. Great service with great fees. Doctors are really great. They treated well too. But the biggest complain about this hospital is the staffs and attendents. Really disappointed. No one really behave like this that was liked we are enemy. As it is a hospital, they need to co operate with patients. Because they were ill so they came here. But nothing good expectation from staff. They quarreled with many patient in front of me. Behaving like they were the owner. And we are the consumer. I did not like it at all. But for doctors i recommend this hospital all the time. Best class and super service. Thanks for these facilities.

What a pathetic hospital - they claim this is a 5star hospital and that is also reflected in the final bill (way overpriced), but the facility they offered is similar to a B grade government hospital. There is no coordination between the staffs, almost impossible to get proper information about the patient including information during OT. The staffs are not at all polite or helpful, specially the billing and insurance staffs, and they are only concerned about the money, not about the patient health. Also they include several items in the treatment bill which are not used/offered to the patient. Will never ever use this facility again and not recommend this to anyone.

This is the condition of single room where my mom is put up. The housekeeping dept is awful, very arrogant staff, no internal process. Fictitious reasoning once you highlight the shortcoming. Complete lack of coordination among depts. Doctor is good. Thats the savior in my case.

Doctors at Belle Vue are good. I got my father treated for hernia. Hospital management and specially the Nurses are very bad. Nurses here are highly unprofessional. They have very little clue about what needs to be done and how. 1. They get half medicines from the pharmacy after the doctor prescription. Got the inhaler power but not the inhaling device and because of this we had to wait for like 1-2 hours late at night to get the medicine. 2. Some of the Nurses have literally no value about the time. Rather than giving patient medicine on time, they will unnecessarily delay the medicine and of which patient has to be awake late at night. 3. Nurses would ask the patient if he/she needs the medicine and basis that they decide whether or not to give the medicine. Doctor prescriptions are just for time pass. They don't follow that. Not all the Nurses are like this but majority of them are bad. Would request the management to hire good Nurses for patients. Ultimately it's the Nurses who needs to be proactive and ensure that the patient are getting right medicine at right time for his/her early recovery and discharge.

Excellent campus and more than outstanding service. Building is well maintained along with a full air conditioning system. Built in a beautiful location which has access to any emergency or public vehicle. Totally neat and clean surroundings. Cafeteria is included in this hospital along with coffee centres inside the building. The cafeteria food is awesome too and seems fresh (although I haven't tried much of it....) and skin-burning hot. Overall it is obviously a good choice among many hospitals to visit in calcutta.........

Very shocking experience, we went here to consult with one of the top diabetes doctor of Kolkata, there is no concept of bills in this hospital! We paid Rs 2000 as the doctor consultation fee(directly to doctor) and did not get any bill for it. I'm surprised to see Belle Vue Clinic is allowing Doctors make BLACK MONEY openly without any repercussions from the Income Tax department! I sincerely hope someone from the tax evasion finds out about this black money generation scheme going on here that too by such top doctors who have such a high fee!

1- Staffs are not helpful at all, Once I asked them for mobile 's charger ..no one helped me for that, I forgot to keep my charger with me, that was an emergency situation, but every staffs lied that they don't have charger.. how is that possible that staffs are working in hospital for long duration and no one has charger with them ..? They're only running business in the name of premium hospital but not co-operative staffs at all. 2- Worst Nursing service .. my patient had her Bypass surgery and nurses are so careless, because of them ..she got bed sore and got infected with a rare bacteria and now she is fighting for her life in ventilator . We payed in lakhs for her treatment and nurses of this hospital are useless , are they unaware that if a patient is in same position for a long time, they might get bed sore ..? They don't know to take prevention for bed sore ? And this hospital got award for best nursing.. fooling public.. only doing business. Government hospitals' nurses are far better.

Doctor is good. But administration is is worthless and only comparable with govt hospitals. The way they speak that is very similar to the nurses of govt hospitals.specially one lady who is issuing post op of visiting pass. The way she speaks it's like police speaking to the criminals. Her tone is loud and offensive. Though male administrative members are polite and helpful. We pay subsequently high amount not only for better treatment also for better service and behaviour.so administration should look into the matter and provide relevant training. Also please arrange drinking water. It's tough to go to to the cafe everytime to drink water. and offensive. Here we pay quite a high amount that the other hospitals not tolerate this kind of rude and unprofes

I had appointment with a doctor and came for second visit..they xharged me 900 rupees again. When i said i came to show reports, person at the counter said it had been more than 7 days thats why you have to pay again. I dont understand this validity rule they have for revisit. I said my reports took more than 4 days and then there were days when doc wasnot available. They denied to hear me and asked me to pay them. Anyway, i paid. After then i heard aged woman asking guard wgere to go for washroom, guard said washroom isnt here. Shocking for me is some patients are here for ultrasound where you have to drink plenty of water and wait for pressure to pee ( sorry i am weak in english) and then only ultra sound happens and then they ask that person to go toilet. So, it means there is toilet. I felt bad for old lady in that emergency case she had to move here and there to find toilet

The junior doctors who oversee patients after surgery are little more than than useless, utterly incompetent, they cannot even determine which patient needs which dosage of drugs. They prescribe a general lame treatment to all patients instead of seeing patients as individuals with different tolerance and resistance levels. The nurses especially on the 6th floor wards are equally bad, lackadaisical, egotistic, unhygienic, rude, and incompetent. They do not prioritise the patient's care or comfort here. Very bad hospital.

One of the very best hospital with very good support staff , including all category of attendants , nurse , dietician, coordinator , lab staff and Doctor under whom I was for 12 days for treatment (Dr Sabyasachi Sen ~ critical care specialist) has been most rejuvenating experience for me . In future if it comes to that level i would come to BVC without any doubt .

One of the most worthless doctor( Arindam maitra) one could ever go to. Doesn't have any basic knowledge, shows no humanity and specifically doesn't have any idea of the treatment that he is giving to his patients. If only you are lucky you will get better by his treatment or else you have to say goodbye to this world and your family members have to listen from him what can we do it's all upto god what can we do about it. Better to go to an astrologer instead for health advice, astrologer will only take some money but he will not only take money from you but also can take your life too.

Very disappointing. The doctors discharged a patient stating stating the patient cannot be saved, after keeping the patient in the ICU for 3 days. They didn't even prepare the discharge papers. After we chased them the discharge papers have been prepared stating that further investigation was needed and the patient left the hospital at their own free will. Absolutely appalling. The doctors could not diagnose the patient in 3 days and after a bill of over rs 1.5 lakhs, and now prepares a report which is opposite of what the patients family was told. There was a time this was the best hospital in town - I was born there - now I'm lost for words.

Appalled by the behaviour of Ms SOMA(management avoided sharing the surname), the lady who calls out the names of the patients of DrSantosh Kumar in Bellevue in OPD. She lacks both courtesy and sensitivity. Ill-behaved people like Soma SHOULD NOT be in this service which demands patience and dedication as it involves dealing with patients . Such assistants should be immediately stopped from entering hospitals like Bellevue. Highly dissatisfied.

We made an appointment for USG one week prior, when we arrived at the hospital they started saying your appointment was for mammogram and can't be done now, you will have to wait for 5 hours. The receptionist started shouting despite taking wrong appointment, blaming us and accusing us saying we said something else. She didn't even admit she misunderstood and gave wrong appointment. Pathetic service.

I am surprised with their CCU unit. It's really threaten for patient. Visitors got into ccu wearing their shoes and chappals, without musk, without sanitisation. A high risk for the patient to get infection easily. A hospital whose testimonials with highest satisfaction can't maintain this basic protection of critical patients. Should bring notice to authority immediate.

Place is nice πŸ‘..Very clean and clear, well maintained, with attached toilet and waiting area inside it and full air conditioning covered. It has lift inside. Watchmans are very good and their behaviour is so polite. It has everything But facilities are utterly disappointing, have to wait in each case for a long time, Doctors don't come at given time, lab tests take a huge time, receptionist always ignore you if your economical status is not looking good, even they sometimes don't give answers of asked questions, if you asked them about doctors that when they will come, they would say we don't know.......... It's my personal opinion. Everyone should not agree with me.

One of the best thing I have seen so far is that their quality of service is excellent. Priority towards the patient privacy is remarkable. Downside - IPD laboratory diagnosis charges are very high compared to other standard medical service providers.

BVC is a more than 50 year old private hospital but operated as if it is government owned. Most staff is lethargic & tries to push everything to next day. Patient comfort is last on their list. They are just interested in making money. In today's times when everything is online BVC doesn't provide reports online or e-mail them. Their pathology is 30-35% expensive than top hospitals of Delhi/Mumbai which give reports must faster & same are accessible online & auto sent by SMS/e-mail but at BVC you have to visit in person next day to collect reports & have to bring both bill & receipt which are duly stamped before delivery of report. If either the bill or the receipt is missing then BVC will not give report. If you consider time, effort & money wasted in report collection then cost of tests is more than double compared to other hospitals. Can you believe that even ECG report which is generated instantly is not provided same day but next day. For an ECG done at 10 AM report wasn't ready even till 4 PM & patient was asked to come next day to collect it. Duplicate copy of bill/receipt/reports can be taken only after submitting application & paying charges for same. It's a bloody sarkaari system & as worse as it can get. Better avoid BVC and opt for other good quality hospitals like Apollo, Columbia Asia, AMRI, Fortis, Narayana etc. which are managed & operated by corporate groups in a very professional manner.

It's more of a patient trap than a hospital. And doctors there are more salesmen than doctors. They confuse you to the point where you feel helpless as a patient or his/her relative. They charge you premium yet service is below average. Its only hospital where you pay doctors fees within a week of first visit. They charge you 150 everytime you visit the OPD. None of the other top hospitals including Apollo, Fortis have one time registration charges. The only positive thing about me was the diagnosis. I'll never return to that hospital. And suggest the same to others.

The helpline number of this hospital is dealt by Mr. Tuscarora kanti biswas. Pathetic audacity this guy has. Doesn't receive calls but rejects your call everytime you will call with a message that sms your requirement, as if people arent calling in hospital but in some other services. Very rude and full of attitude. Then he orders us to call in the landlines for any inquiry, etc. If we can call in the landlines, then why the hell this number is provided in the Google aa first option. Kindly the management of the hospital, should recruit someone who is at least understanding that if someone calls in hospital they are treated as humans and with a kind behavior because we are patient or family of patients who calls. We aren't calling in shopping malls. Not expected from BELLE VUE CLINIC

Such a pathetic hospital i have never seen in my life. My father suddenly faced some complications during his dialysis period. Came to belle vue on the recommendation of our doctor, but in the emergency no one was there to even bring out my father from the ambulance. So arrogant behaviour of the staffs from emergency. As they couldnot provide bed in the emergency told me to get him admitted in icu. At the icu i kept on calling for a cardiologist and a nephrologist, the nephrologist doctor came and checked everything but its been a whole day still cardiologist have notime to visit an emergency patient. This is what you get in a A graded hospital.

Staff: super careless, sorkari kromochari, every body thinks they are CEO of Bellevue. Doctor: some are really good and some are flooded with attitude, treatment to patient has been good Nurses: sorkari kromochari Facility: the amount which you invest, its not upto the mark you have better options in Kolkata Treatment: capability wise they are good, of they are dedicated towards patient then it as all good else God bless you. Biggest Cons: ICU and NICU is flooded with infection so be very careful Lack in treatment medical transpency.

Highly expensive doctors and long waiting time staff too rude no proper waiting area. Airconditioners so called centralised but not maintained during rush hours full suffocating and sweating in waiting area. No proper drinking water supply. Only one thing is maintained that is doctors high fees rest it's slowly becoming like a government hospital. High time the management starts doing something about it. There is no cap on the fees limit compared to the service provided. Lost it's charm of being the best few years ago.

Why the don't have the facility to share report online or on WhatsApp. they r just milking money and giving trouble to patients. Moreover they are very rude. Management must look into it.

Worst Hospital ever ,clueless employees, guards, lift operators, management every one behave like they own the hospital Worst facilities ever Even after booking a single room which will cost you 12K, visitors are not allowed and you have to pay 750 for tha 24 hrs pass and that they will tell you when you have passed your entire day going back and forth to the lift lobby and reception Not advised to get any sort of treatment ever. My wife was given anesthesia and she was having trouble in the room and no attendant was there to attend her no visitors were allowed in case of emergency only God can save you. The management and everything here is useless and pathetic. Doctor has not visited once after the surgery for the follow up. Just a money making business it is not a hospital to get your life saved. Not recommended for a light fever also. If you don't love your peace of mind please do come here. I don't know how the review is 3.5 also it's should have a negative start rating. Pathetic simply pathetic.

Most worst physiotherapy department. I tried calling them over phone and spoke with a guy who gave his identity as Mr. Tushar as a physiotherapist. Most ridiculous behaviour. Rather than giving me an appointment he was busy speaking to a lady beside him and enjoying time with her. That guy behaved with me very rudely when i asked him several questions related to my injury, he mentioned that he is not having time to answer so many questions and when i told him that il complain against him to his higher management he used a slang and kept the call. This is not the appropriate physiotherapy department as it was earlier during my friend's treatment. Mr. Tushar should be sacked for his rude behaviour. I request the management to take step against him.

Previously I mean to say before Covid I really used to appreciate the treatments and administration of Bellevue. We are a very old and regular clients of Bellevue as my father is having a regular diyalisis out there. Recently during Covid time he was suffering from chronic kidney problems so went there for admission as we are very old and every treatment is conducted from here only under Nephrology department , but the administration department refuses the admission. Then somehow by talking to them we managed to get a bed out there. After the admission they are forcing the patient to get admitted in ICU only , if the patient is getting cured at that point of time they are forcing the patient to stay in ICU only without shifting them to normal room inspite after recommendation of doctors. They are exhoberantly charging high ranges for the rooms. Billing are too high , for an example for 3 days the billing amount are coming near about 1 lakh. The day we are checking the amount the next day when we are tallying the amount getting increased to double. Really am very disappointed with the administration part of Bellevue rite now. The nephrology team is really good over there, the team is very caring . But unsatisfactory response from the admission office and Billing department.

You are still following ages old rules of doing photostates of documents unnecessarily when u can easily maintain documents in computer. Washrooms at reception stinks and remain dirty like a govt. Hospital. Single room charge is 10000 and still they charge 750 per night for 1 attendant staying with patient. I have seen this first time in India any hospital charging for attendant night stay. I have a question to ask to the management how can someone leave their patients on ur nurses when ur nurse and patient ratio is 2:12. Very disappointed.

Belle Vue Clinic is indeed a overhyped hospital. Doctors are really good but, the nurses, the administration, the system of administration is not upto the mark compared to other super speciality hospitals of kolkata. Apollo, ILS, Fortis are far better in totality. The rooms could have been more clean and neat. The trainee nurses mostly are employed in the floor. The administration and maintenance need an upgradation. However, the doctors are extremely polite, patient and very much skilled.

It's ok... But the problem is you have to make a report delivery counter. Because every department has their own time to give reports. It's very difficult to collect reports from different departments in different time, specially for senior citizens.

The hospital is totally buisness based. They do businesses with people life.. Nursing services is good but excessive and the excessive nurse salary collecting for us... My totally fit and fine father was admitted for CABG under Dr. Hk das Mahapatra but after two days from surgery two bedsore occurs and several blister occurs. Hospital totally hide that. After CABG several time heart attack occurs on hospital..That was also hidden by them . After that they discharge on LAMA basis and declared Left Ventricular Failure.. But before operation under Myocardial Perfusion scan that was found that the heart condition was healthy.. After 3 days we again admitted to that hospital but they place the serious patient to ITU.. Note that the Bellevue ITU is the death place.. where the patient is shifted only for money and upto death.. In the ITU Dr. A Neogi is a pulmonologist and actor. He know that how to take money from patient party of a deadly patient.. One the point is that you can not see any dead patient. Because they passed the dead patient via basement... Please do not go to Bellevue clinic because they works only for buisness not for life..

Many of the floor medical officers and nurses will agree to the fact that Dr Santosh Kumar may be a good doctor and a surgeon but he does not visit his post operative patients, which is a pain point for most of his patients at Belle Vue, Kolkata. My father was admitted for 3 days post surgery and the operating doctor (Dr Santosh Kumar) had not visited once for consultation or advice.

No.1 " worst" hospital...my patient's knee replacement surgery held there...dc. Santosh Kumar give budget to patients after seeing their mediclaim..many of them completed their 2 knees within 3 to 4 lakhs but they saw we have 5 lakhs mediclaim so they made 3 lakhs billing for one knee..only nurses and word boys are very good...otherwise everything just worst..they have no proper communication mediums with patient party..they charged to cutting stitch Rs.1700 for one leg..and as per money/value this is a worthless nursing home with less service ever I seen..and the lady Susmita Some assistant of Dr. Santosh Kumar very bad..they all treated us like a product..but specially she have no minimum courtesy..we patient party already was very tensed and she behaved rudely...after back to home my patient had many complications but we didn't get proper communication and answer..its made more serious and had to admitted her again..and again they gave a huge amount bill and after all these we now saying why we did the operation here??till one l eg operation due

"Nasty" hospital is what my experience says about this hell in our city. It's a nightmare filled with unpleasant and aggressive behaviour with both patients as well as their family members. The staff has no sense of politeness or social well being and unfortunately they shouldn't have been in this field of serving people. They charge more and care less. If you don't believe my words then please go pay a visit and you'll understand what I'm trying to say.

They are running a business out of a healthcare institute. Doctors must have certain targets that they need to squeeze out of each patient. They are least bothered about actual treatment/diagnosis or any medical history and sometimes the actual doctor doesn't event show their face. They are going through typical symptoms and medication - Google seem to have better reasons than the doctors. Nurses and heath-assistants are equally irresponsible and has no answers for any questions. Not recommended even for a slight fever.

One of the most significant issues I faced during my visit to Belle Vue Clinic was the frustrating delay in receiving attention. Furthermore, the lack of coherent and effective communication among staff members was another alarming aspect of my experience. On several occasions, I witnessed confusion and miscommunication between nurses, doctors, and administrative personnel. This resulted in delays in acquiring crucial information and hindered the provision of proper care. Understaffing was evident in various departments, resulting in overwhelmed healthcare professionals who struggled to attend to patients' needs adequately. The evident workload burden on staff members contributed to increased waiting times, rushed consultations, and compromised attention to patient concerns. Another disheartening aspect of my experience at Belle Vue Clinic was the apparent lack of compassion and empathy exhibited by some healthcare professionals.Β It is crucial that Belle Vue Clinic takes these concerns seriously, addresses the issues mentioned, and implements necessary changes to ensure that future patients receive the care they deserve - prompt, efficient, and compassionate.
