This eye care facilities is situated on B.T road near Sinthi crossing.

If there is a option to give Zero rating, then I will give. On 25/05/21, I visited Disha Sinthi Branch with a complain that Redness, Irritation, watering and dimness of vision in left eye. I got Dr. Tuhin Chowdhury’s apponintment on that day. Behave of the Doctor is very worst. When I told him that I have some conversation aginst my eye problem, he rudely told me that he is not interested to talk and not interested to hear my problem. He clearly told me, it is better for his health that not to talk much more. Even thou, he was not checked my eyes properly. Not only that. He even diagonos wrongly that I am effected with Viral Conjunctivities. 3 days put medicine in my eyes which he prescribed including antibiotic. After three days, I visited another hospital because no relief during last 3 days. This hospital treated me well and remove one wood piece from my eye and immediately all the problems gone. It is not the first time experience of me. During last year, the same type of incident occurred when I visited with my Mother-in-law. Worst behavior we have received from the staffs appointed with mediclaim counter. With the help of Govt Health deptt. the same was resolved. I recommend to all not to visit this hospital, prefer to go other hospitals i.e, NH Narayana Eye Hospital, Sankar Netlaralaya, etc. This hospital is now just treated his patient to income money with some useless Doctors and staffs.

Lift available. Call and take prior appointment before going. Walk In checkup facility is not recommended as "no vacant slot" could make you return without checkup. Simple eye test to Glaucoma test happens every day. Rate is pretty cheap here. There is a optical counter inside selling bug brand costly optical. Outside Disha you will get Auto, Bus and Taxi easily.

Well, if you are considering getting yourself checked at this particular facility, I strongly advise you to reconsider. The experience my wife and I had there was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the staff, including the receptionist, the billing counter attendant, and the optometrist in room no. 4 (Ei Bhodro Mohila Ke President Bonano Uchit), all had an unwarranted air of superiority. When my wife visited this place a few weeks ago, she received a prescription for medication and a pair of spectacles. However, things took a turn for the worse when she started experiencing severe side effects, including bleeding in her left eye. We rushed her back to this establishment, hoping for prompt and effective emergency care. To our dismay, instead of providing immediate attention, the staff engaged in meaningless chatter, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. We ended up spending an exorbitant amount of time on the billing, and despite the staff being aware of the root cause of my wife's distress, they kept shuffling us from one place to another, causing further frustration and distress. In all honesty, this is undoubtedly one of the worst eye care facilities in the city. Considering our terrible experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. It would be wise to seek eye care elsewhere, where you can find professionals who genuinely care about your well-being. 🙏🏻

Let me tell you a ridiculous experience with Dr. Somak Mazumder here. I waited for 1 month for an appointment with him for a routine retina checkup. I went, paid, got my eyes dialected waited for an hour, and when I got inside the chamber, he didn't ask anything about my problems or why I am here. Rather I was asked for previous reports from Disha! Which I was unable to produce because this is my first time at Disha. He ended the discussion there and wrote me 3 medicines and told me to come after 3 months. The whole interaction didn't even last for 1minute. I am not sure why even I was dialected and all, if I was going to be this harassed. All I understand is Disha is one of that govt organisations who are not bound take care of its patients.

The stuff behavior is well. But few point i see they need to think. They don't have backup plan. I had my father surgery and after completing of mediclaim process of 2hr when reached to medicine shop the pain started. The medicine counter off due to lunch and no one entained me even other stuff. I have waited 2hr now I have to wait again 30min for medicine. Nobody take care about paitient party. Another part..Mediclaim department. They said that if mediclaim is partially approved then rest amount need to pay on operation day when final bill will be approved patient will be refunded. They told me if refund is more than 5000 then they will only refund via NEFT. But when one patient is refunded >5000 by cash, when I said why you said me like that. They completely refused. Even first day they said refund will take 5day. At discharge time they said it will take 10day. Don't believe them.

A very bad experience today.... Spcly for patient management..... There is no hoarding of Disha sinthe more which could be seen from opposite side of road. You can only see huge trees in front a building from opposite side of road... I got just 10 min late in searching the hospital n the receptionist denied to make a ticket.... I m also a doctor... N expecting this kind of behaviour is really disheartening. I don't know how they treat other patients. Such a rude behaviour as if there is lack of eye specialists in this city.

I am quite satisfied with Disha Eye Hospital. More than 5 yrs I have been coming here. I have dry eyes problem. Dr. Sanjib Banerjee is an excellent doctor who is doing my treatment. Staffs are very co-operative. Barrackpore and sithi both place are good. Sithi is small in compare to barrackpore.

If there will be 0 star I will give that.First day they told that come next day we will give you the power. The next they tested.After the test the doctor was confused that is any power I have or not. They discussed infront of me and the other doctor said I have power but the other said no. One of the best places not only in Kolkata, but India for eye related checkup and operations. The doctors are highly experienced and handle a variety of cases. Some perform around 30+ cataract operations in a single day. In my personal encounter, I found an attendant lady of one doctor to be rude and arrogant while another attendant really understanding and caring; attending 20+ families. I understand Disha that you deal with many patients but your behaviour towards them is your badge of honour. With best patient care and post op care with consultation, I truly admire this hopsital. Today (31st july 2019) I have an appointment at2.30pm .Everything is average but i have a complain about one person Dr.Somak Majumdar's compounder she is a lady i don't know her name .She don't know how to behave with persons & also i want to say the authority that before giving any chance like her plzz deeply enquiry about that type person .and also plzz give her a different room.I thought she was very frustrated about her life ha ha ha???

Waiting time too high due unavailability of doctors and the lady at reception counter .... Was very rude/ harshly talking to visitors, especially to old people. We highly recommend and suggest choosing other options for your eye check up or treatment.

Now they are charging for everything, even when you are going for post operative check up, you have to pay, if any emergency occurs due to operation, you have to pay. which are supposed to be the part of operation package. Earlier it was not like that.

Good Eye Hospital and service

It takes more than 3 hours to get the eyes checked. This place is seriously inder staffed. They need more than two, may be four optometrist rooms. They need to have more doctors too. Check up process only takes few minutes but there is long waiting time.

System is good. Only the thing is you need prior appointment to show the doctor even if for regular eye check-up. Generally it is difficult to get quick appointment. I have tried to get appointment by phone call but got busy tone everytime. There is option for sms booking but not sure if it works. We went on Saturday and got the appointment for Tuesday. You should come with minimum 2hrs of time in hand.

Very unprofessional staff. Untidy place. They do not know how to deal with people specially OT front desk staff. Very rude behaviour. Not at all recommended.

Disha Eye hospital Sinthi which plays a major role in eye treatment for the people of North Kolkata, treated by good doctors at very cheap prices. Almost all eye treatment are done here. In some cases the behavior of technicians or staff is not satisfactory at all.

This Disha eye hospital is a branch Disha eye hospital.This branch is situated in Ghoshpara bus stop of famous B.T.Road.Which is also one bus stop away from B.T.Road and Sinthi junction.It is only for normal check up.Spectales shop are within the centre.Prescribed medicine are sold in this centre.Doctor are comong too late sometime.

Very very poor hospitality.They do not even check properly and shows you a haste.Initially they charge 100 but believe me it is worthless. Doctors do not have enough time for the patient with a bit lesser than critical problem.Strongly recommended check yourself from any place other than this one.

I went there a few days ago for the eye check up. They have kept the floors clean. The doctors were more or less good. The receptionists were helpful. It's a good hospital for eye checkup. There are also accommodations for eye operations. It's easy to reach. Doctors & staffs are very much cooperative.

Today I visited with my mother and the behaviour of the receptionist was so much disappointing she talked in a very rude way with mom even she directly refused for appointment because she was in hurry. I think the organisation should checking up the management once in a week nd try to correct this kind of issues.
