Having heard about this address we decided to share our culture with some international colleagues, UNFORTUNATELY, due to the extreme RUDENESS of the waitress and her lack of professionalism it was an UNPLEASANT experience, we even felt like she was picking a fight. I have never seen this type of person who has no desire to serve their customers. 50% of the ingredients were missing, so the choice was very limited, and it is not even authentic Tunisian food (2/3 of the menu is Italian food).not only that, but they also tried to charge us more than we should have paid. Also, we couldn't pay with a card because they don't accept it (God knows why). Very disappointing experience, don't recommend it You can read the comment below to know how is the hospitality in this restaurant

I was really excited to eat here after reading all the good reviews. I had stopped by the previous day but it was a Saturday so it was naturally booked out. I came in the next day when the restaurant was empty. The lady serving was unacceptably rude and she looked at me like I just killed her cat. She immediately asked me if I was ready to order when I had barely sat down. When I said I needed a minute she sneered and disappeared for a while (there was one other table). When she finally came back she informed me that they were out of half the items "because we worked too hard yesterday". Why even remain open if you refuse to cook chicken? There was no one there, they just didn't want to prepare the food. I said I'd rather come back another day and she rudely said that they were closed the next few days. Really disgusting behavior and she shouldn't be there because she clearly doesn't want to be there. A shame because it looked like a cute family restaurant with presumably tasty food. The servers rudeness and attitude were appalling and I had to walk out.

This place is a delight - one of the best meals I enjoyed in Sicily (and the standards there are dauntingly high). While the restaurant doesn't necessarily cater for take-out, they graciously accommodated that request, and put together a stunning pescatarian meal. A rich, flavorful couscous, a stunningly good piece of fish, and a large selection of vegetarian appetizers that I've never had anywhere else. If you're in Sicily you might pause before trying something that is "not Italian," but you'd be doing yourself a disservice and missing a really wonderful meal.

What a wonderful evening at Ristorante Zaytuna. Thanks to Google reviews we found this gem and wanted to leave a review of our own so other travelers can enjoy a delectable feast. My friends and I were craving fresh local produce and this place delivered. Every bite is delicious. Our waiter Billy was amazing, his service was friendly, informative and with a smile. He even deboned our fish, spoilt indeed. We recommend the fish, tabouli and antipasti.

unfortunately due to the extreme rudeness of the young lady who works there, we got up and left the restaurant before we ordered anything. Until now, I have never experienced that someone has no will to serve guests, I don't need extreme attention, that's why I came to the family restaurant, but her rudeness and insolence was below the shocking level

Great food and service, a hidden gem, one star less as thought some dishes were a bit more expensive and drinks cost more then average.

We had one of our best meals in Palermo at this lovely family restaurant. The foto was just the start of our meal. It made us happy before we even received our main dishes. This food was made with love and care. The owner (and I think his wife) where so hospitable. In fact it looked like they where closing for afternoon when we sat down. We were the only customers. There was no rush and the food was delightful. Yes, we where in Sicily but Tunisia is right across the water!!!! Don't miss this place. We the sampler plate, the vegetable couscous, and whole fish is a delicious red sauce.

Absolutely delicious food!! We have been in Italy for a few weeks and wanted something besides pasta and pizza. This place was perfect!!! The appetizer plate was scrumptious and the tajine chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful!!!

Superb food. Especially recommend the chicken tagine, but everything else we had was absolutely delicious, too. Very reasonably priced. Nice spot in a great neighborhood also, at the bottom of mercato da capo. (Afterwards: there is the world's best ice cream, no foolin', on Via Candelai a few blocks in the direction of Via Maqueda/the sea, Dolce Capo.)

Very nice family owned restaurant, the owners are lovely, and the dishes are fantastic! This place is the go-to if you're a bit tired of pizza and pasta. The tunisian appetizer mix and the lamb coucous were exquisite. I don't even like lamb, but this was so well-made, I'm reconsidering my stance :)

We saw this restaurant after the one we wanted to go for closed, and we are glad we did. The seafood was fresh, portions were generous, the chef and the owners were very lovely. We like that the restaurant is very local and authentic, not touristy like many others in the area. Will come back to this place on my next trip to Palermo

We came for the smell and were not disappointed! Lovely friendly family run restaurant with real love in their restaurant and food! The antipasti tunisino consisted of 6 delicious dishes full of unique flavours. The couscous was wholesome and filling and came with a side of soup to pour over it.
