Definitely worth the hike, but only in good weather and good shoes. Bring your own supplies (water, etc) as there is nothing up there except of breathtaking views!

There is lots to see in Castelbuono and the castle and museum are a must. It is a most interesting building with an internal courtyard with stairs. At each floor there are exhibition and display spaces. At the very top is the WC! Also terrific views. Entry is 5 euro or 3 for over 60 and concessions. Photography is not allowed inside.

Great Castello, good condition. But worth 7 euros entrance? NO!

Lovely castle and town. About an hour from Palermo city. Castle has beautiful church inside together with historic artifacts. Placed on a small hill in a valley so nice views too.

Probably a nice place but we were there just when they opened and wanted 2 cappucinos and something sweet. Was served a chunky bit of the local delicacy for 8 euros a person.

Worth a look if in town, but otherwise not. Some mediocre art, bit of history, interesting chapel. We arrived 30 mins before lunch closure and didn't have to rush to see it all.
