I quaint and quiet place. My family enjoyed a visit even when the Museum was closed. There is a rest area with bathrooms and picnic tables across the street with a lovely view of the Ohio River.

It is the original birthplace that has been moved and is now back on it's original foundation. It's a small house that originally was only one room. The tour guide for the home was very informative and knowledgeable. I would recommend the stop for anybody interested in American history.

The property and house are well maintained. It was a fun day trip that allowed us to learn about and explore a historical site.

This is a great place to experience a bit of the flavour of life in the era when Grant was born and gives you an idea of his early life. Of course, the actual house and museum are not open that much, but with a modest reading of history (Google can fill in the blanks nicely in this case and supplement what is on the signs that are up) and the well done and informative information boards that are up, you can fill in many of the blanks. This is even a good drive around tour where if you do not wish to get out of the car, you can still experience the era and the history of the place of not only one of our greatest generals, but a good president as well. It gives you a window, however small, of the world into which Grant was born into, as well as some of the (at the time) boyhood distractions in the area, such as the Meadows, the forests, the streams, and the overall openness of the area. Immerse yourself in the history for only the cost of time. Priceless all the way around.

Very neat part of history. The Historian there was knowledgeable about U.S. Grant. Recommend anyone through this way to stop and check it out.

We made a quick stop for a homeschool field trip and it was fun. The inside was closed but the signs were informative and the website has a whole grant trail you can follow! We even saw a bald eagle fly over the Grant Memorial Church!

Visited this year's ago while visiting family nearby. It was very educational and a great stop in addition to Grant's Childhood Home. Would visit again.

Not a whole bunch to see but the caretaker knows EVERYTHING about President Grant. Very informative. Takes about 10 (5 if you read fast) minutes to see, about an hour to hear about Grant’s life and legacy.

Nice little pit stop along the Ohio River. Great view of the river if you walk down a short trial.
