The emergency wait room is absolutely dirty, with the high traffic this hospital has during a pandemic you would at least expect to see someone making sure the area is clean and maintained. Receptionist is absolutely rude to the patients, she has her earphones on so she has a hard time listening to the patients inquiries and barely replies. The wait room is full of people trying to easy pains they may be going through and the news channel is on in high volume. Very disappointing to see that in a first world hospital, a place where empathy should be a primary value and of course cleanliness shouldn’t even be questioned.

The worst place ever. More than 20 hours waiting in urgence with heavy pain of my crying 76 years old mother. No doctors, no water, no food. Police are bringing all night homeless people and drug users without que. Quebec medical system fully collapsed and absent.

WORST SERVICE of my life!! I came here on Saturday at 11:00 am for an emergency. I waited way too long for my turn to come. Then they called my name around 2:40 am in the morning after more than 16 hours. Then the doctor told me to take some blood and urine tests and told me to wait until my name is called again. After another 2 hours around 5:00am they called my name again and the doctor told me to take abdominal scan. But the radiology department opens at 8:00am in the morning and I waited again until 8:00am but they called me at 9:00 am. Finally, when I came to inform them about my scan the nurse told me they don't have my name in their list. They said the doctor closed the file. But why? They didn't have an idea. They told me to take the number again and wait for my turn. It means repeat the whole process again. I told them I've been waiting since 24 hours but they said they can't do anything. Alas!! The worst day of my life when I thought to come here. Biggest mistake ever!!

Lasalle emergency department is the worst. Not only the wait time is take forever. But the so called doctors at the emergency are a nightmare. I went for my pregnancy complication but the doctor she was so weird. How come you don't know what to tell me. She was unsure about what should she tell me. And she wasn't at all Empathetic. I wish I knew her name so I would mention it. But she was the worse doctor one can have. These kind of doctors should sit home as they have no right to be called doctors

DO NOT BRING ANYONE HERE FOR EMERGENCY! I called the ambulance for my 78yr old mother due to pain and numbness in her arm. They took her to the lasalle emergency where we were left with no instructions or any type of guidance, and we never saw a doctor. We were told by the worker, who does nothing more than take your medicare card info, that they have no idea when the doctor will see anyone and that's its based on the doctors choice. They have no list, no communication with the doctor(s). If u have a question, get ready to just be given a blank stare and attitude. No number to take, no screen to follow with.. it's not based on who comes in, or even who is in more crucial state.. In addition, the intercom is barely understandable (echo, too loud, lady talks too fast) so if you have trouble figuring out what name they called....Goodluck, cuz apparently, the worker doesn't have a clue either, so if u were called but aren't sure...there's no one to ask, even if it just happened. If u ask about it, be prepared to just get yelled at, as apparently they cannot simply go to the back and ask. Absolutely no humanity can be found there. We waited 5 hours and then left and went to the Jewish...it was like night and day. Totally organized. You take a number and sit..your number is called. If u missed the call, it's on the screen...You are treated like a fellow human being at the Jewish. The service at the Jewish was impeccable. Moral of the story, DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE TO LASALLE HOSPITAL FOR EMERGENCY. Absolutely repulsive, they should be shut down as soon as possible as their neglect and lack of care can really hurt someone.

If I can put it a zero I would!!! Don't go if you see that their occupancy is low thinking you will go fast. Occupancy was at 60% and stayed 8 hours and saw nobody. Basically just the nurse at the triage!!!!!! Where is my tax going? When are we going to start to speak up? Third world countries with wars have a much more efficient health system....shame on you Quebec.

I travel a lot and I must say that LaSalle hospital is very poorly organized. Waited 4 hours in triage with only 4 people going in before me , then I was met with a very rude unsympathetic lady nurse who just seemed interested in telling me how much my visit was going to cost me ( up to 4000$ ) just for very high blood pressure . I went home untreated. I hope the woman involved never gets sick in another country and is made to feel the way I did … she is definitely in the wrong profession.

Steer clear! The worst, most chaotic hospital I've ever seen! I'll say it again: if you can, stay away from this location. Insufficient medical equipment and professionals to adequately treat and diagnose patients. Their equipment and protocols haven't been updated in years. They continue to use antiquated practices and live in the past. Ninety percent of the staff here is unpleasant, condescending, and haughty, especially in the emergency room, thus doctors, nurses, and nursing aides desperately need empathy training. They talk to patients—especially the older patients—in an absolutely horrible way, and they also talk to their families and guests! When you ask inquiries, they act as though you are annoying them and want to give commands. It'd be better for you to die than to come here.

If I could put zero I would , first waited two hours to see triage , im all for waiting . When I got into triage to talk to the nurse , before even taking my blood pressure or even anything . He looked at me and said you don’t look sick enough to be here , it’s better to look up for the clinic in the morning. If I stay here I will be waiting until the morning , because I don’t look serious Now I am at sta Mary’s still with high fever and the doctors and nurses treated me like a human ! And that just because it does not look like it does not mean nothing is happening

The maternity ward has an incredible team both day and night shift. My wife was cared with patience, understanding, love and absolute attentiveness to everything. It made our whole journey quite magical. Thank you to the entire team.

Its a well built hospital has a good amount of public parking but it’s lacking staff and needs more sanitation personnel. ER needs to be faster i get it it can be long but come on it feels like it’s an exaggeration at this point

I will just say, 'If you want to die, this is the place to go'. I was brought there on Mar 5, 2022 by ambulance with possible heart problem. I was felling serious burning pain in chest and throat. By the time I arrived at the hospital, the pain subsided. The traige nurse took an ecg and told me to siting the waiting room. After about 3hours wait, the pain started again. I advised the nurse who told me again just to sit in the waiting room. I waited a total of 5 hours and saw no doctor. I got fed up and went home. 2 days later, I started receiving those pains again and I rushed to Legardeur Hospital. Upon arrival, they pain subsided. The triage nurse at that hospital did not take a chance and performed and ECG along with blood test. A little while after, a cardiologist came to me and said I suffered a mild heart attack. They had found certain enzymes in my blood relevant to a heart attack. They admitted me into the cardio ward and the following day brought me to the Montreal Heart Institute for an ANGIOPLASTY procedure. They put in 2 stents as I had serious blockage of an artery. When I told them about my incident at Lasalle Hospital, they were surprised no blood tests were taken. I owe my life to a triage nurse at LEGARDEUR HOSPITAL who took it upon herself to request more tests. Simple ending to this, the triage at LASALLE HOSPITAL is subsufficient and inexperiened. I might even consider neglectful. Summing up to 'IF YOU WANT TO DIE, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO'. If you are in Lasalle, I recommend you avoid this hospital and go to the super hospital which I have been told is very good. BTW, if the hospital reads this and wants proof. I have all the documents to support my statement from Legardeur Hospital and the Montreal Heart Institute. Be careful and be healty.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVERYTIME I COME HERE!!!! First off for a hospital that’s apparently #1 in maternity made me wait 8 hours in the emergency while I was having a miscarriage and they never saw me. Ended up leaving and going to Lachine hospital which saw me right away and help me get my RH- shot. Second clinic gare ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Everytime I come here on time with appointments I’m waiting for 4 hours for a 5 minute conversation!!! While everyone is laughing and hanging around not doing their jobs!!!. What’s the point of having an appointment if I’m just going to wait 4 hours after my appointment!!! Third blood test nurses are completely rude and have zero patience for people. Unacceptable for a hospital that’s supposed to be helping people

Worst worst worst hospital. First of all they don't have any doctor for children. Secondly, the wait period is more than 5hrs. Today my daughter has high fever, stomach pain and an eye infection. They dont care and told me wait wait and only wait. My daughter is just 3yrs old and can't stay in emergency for whole day. She was not treated for her sickness. When I asked than they told me they have only 1 doctor in entire hospital. The doctor decides whom he wanna see first. During my waiting period, I have seen lots people get treated even after they have less priority. This lasalle hospital is only hospital close to my home. In montreal, it is prohibited to see a doctor in clinic if you dont have family physician. On top of, you will not get any family doctor atleast for 3-5 years. In nut shell, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SICK BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY TAXES TO FILL POCKETS OF ALL HEALTH EMPLOYEES (INCLUDING DOCTORS)

Sadly, I don't believe they know what they are doing in that hospital either due to no communication, not enough experience, or they just don't care.. my father went in at the beginning of April of this year and was told to expect a call for a colonoscopy and, to this day, has not received any confirmation. Still having complications and the health issue has only worsened. They will leave your family members suffering or, even worse, before giving them the help they deserve. But the hospital looks clean, and I guess the appearance is all the matters.

The emergency room wait was long but I suppose that is to be expected given the nature of emergency medical services and the triage they do. However, once I was seen the care was better than I had expected to get. The doctor was attentive and listened carefully, and they were exceptionally thorough with their testing. They did more tests than I had expected but as the doctor said: they wanted to rule out any other problems. I was given medication immediately to relieve some of the symptoms while I waited for results. In the end I got a far better service than I had gotten at the MGH or the Glen Site hospital for related issues. I went home with prescriptions that kept me comfortable while I was able to arrange for a specialist. Note I said _comfortable_... it's the first time in my life an ER doctor was concerned with my comfort than merely diagnosing.

As you can already tell by the other reviews, if you want to die waiting then come here. Currently waiting for 15+ hours after I’ve mentioned multiple times how sharp my abdomen pain is, nobody cares. Came here at 11am and still waiting at 2:30am, haven’t seen anyone after the triage so far.

I was in the emergency of this hospital at 9 pm and left at 1 am because simply no one was working. there should only be 1 doctor who called patients every 50 minutes. no one gave us any support, no attention. an absurdity. very bad service. the emergency had 5 people and still, no one was called.

Government website said 4 hours 30 minutes wait time for non-priority cases waiting to see a Dr. Got to the emergency room at 7 pm for an infection in my finger (completely swollen and red/hot) and still here waiting at 1:30 a.m. This is absolutely ridiculous, there's only been 3 people in the waiting room for the past few hours. Edit: it's now 4 a.m., the triage nurse called us in to tell us there's only one doctor and they will only see us at 8 a.m. They kindly let me know it would be okay to sleep in my car and come back in for 8. Meanwhile, the finger is getting worse when all I really need at this point is antibiotics.

Would give 0. They have 0 care for any patient. In the Urgency, you are a number and a face, not a human. Went in and had to do a urine test. Before, you brought your samples to the Triage nurse directly. Now, there is a container outside of Triage that you embarrassingly have to leave your samples in for all to see. Fun! I sat right where I could see it, 30 mins pass, my sample still sitting there. No more Triage patients so I though she possibly forgot as she forgot to return my medicare card prior. Went to give it to her and got "ill take it in just a moment." Another 30 minutes later, it is still sitting there. Are you kidding me! Pharmacy closes at 9pm to get any prescriptions and I arrived at 4:30pm and they took an hour just to not bring my sample to the lab. Grabbed my sample and left to Verdun hospital where I was actually treated like a human and was out of there in under 4 hours. Another lovely add on to this horrible place that people are supposed to go to get help, is security at night is rude. They sit there and do nothing and can't even find the decency to be a kind person when being asked a question.

If you ever feel useless, just know that this hospital exists. Do yourself a favor and go to a super hospital if you need a triage. This hospital might be close where you live but you would wait 10+ hours to be seen by anyone despite them not having much clients regardless whether you are dying or not. It would take 1 hour by bus/metro to get to a super hospital but at least the waiting time would be lesser. Not to mention they are more rude or least respectful to you if you don't speak French.

I went to the emergency with a severe headache and stomach pain. I was very tired and about to vomit. They refused to let me lay down on a bed and I told them several times that I cant sit for that long. Very bad experiance and a very LONG waiting time. I waited about 6 or 7 hours screaming in the corridors. The medical staff seem like they hate their jobs. They dont work with humanity in a field were humanity is required. I hope the management of this hospital will be revised by the govermant. It is a waste of our taxes to pay to libve those terrible horrible experiences.

Been waiting here for 15 hours already and have yet to see a doctor or nurse outside of triage. They haven’t called a name into any of the rooms for 4 hours and when i ask whats going on they tel me that its because they are booked with people from the ambulances. Funny part is i have been sitting here with the ambulance drivers for the last 2 and a half hours and they haven’t moved. There was a woman who came into the emergency and collapsed on the floor and as soon as they called their “code blue” 13 nurses/doctors came running and were there in less than a minute… want to tell me they weren’t standing around in the back doing nothing? This hospital is by far the worst hospital i have ever been to in my life. Avoid it at all costs Update: 21 hours later i saw someone who barely did a check up and just prescribed me with multiple meds

Hospitals in third world country are more professional. We came here in emergency at 8pm. It’s been 5 and half hours and since 2 and half hours they did not let a single person in. When asked they say there is only a single doctor inside. We left without seeing a doctor at 3am. Avoid emergency at this hospital!

Great bilingual staff at this hospital. The secret to a smooth visit is patience and kindness. Adjust your expectations. The amount people crying about long waits is amusing. Go to a private clinic if you can't handle the wait.

I haven't been to the hospital. I was trying to make an appointment, and the person on the phone could not understand medical terms for some reason, so she insisted that I have to come to the hospital in person with my referral. There is no email or fax I could send it to instead. Maybe I should have insisted on spelling it, not sure if that would help. Also, no idea why she needed the details if she knew which specialist this is.

Went to the emergency. The triage nurse very sweet and very patient, then the doctor Dr Aharon Silverman was amazing (actually a doctor with bedside manners) very calm, very thorough very conscientious, the radiology department a very nice man, I did not feel rushed. He told me take your time he explained everything very well. I can seriously say that they were all amazing. Yes I waited 6 hours but that beyond their control as I saw one ambulance after another come in. Of course they had to take on ambulance patients first. So be patient.

Horrible experience today at the MRI departement! I have 2 injured shoulders. Doctor suspects that it might be a rotator cuff tear or a labrum tear. So mind you that i am unable to move my shoulders at all. I cannot front raise nor lateral raise. I can only flex my elbows. When i got into the room, the lady asked me to lie down and position my body so that my left shoulder (i was scaning my left side) to fit into this box looking kinda thing. I was having trouble getting my shoulder in, and the lady kept pushing my right shoulder to forcefully move my body so that my left side is ajusted with the box. I told her, hey stop, stop pushing my shoulder, it hurts. I dont know if she didnt hear me, but she kept doing it. I said again, stop pushing my shoulder. She still continues to shove my right shoulder at a point i was hurting so much i had to grab her wrist, and i said loudly, stop pushing my shoulder! Its been 3 hours since the mri, and now im at home with more pain on my right side more than when i got to the hospital. I still have another mri next week for my right side, and i am definitely not looking forward to it.

I ended up just taking a cab and going back to my daughters home. Who knows if my name was even called?

My father had a terrible car accident that made his car flipped upside down. He was brought to the ER and had him wait over triage. I told him to ask some pain medication for his injured arm while waiting and the nurse did not even give him any medication. We stayed there from 4pm to 11pm and still nothing. Tip: Don't go to this hospital. You have better chance to be seen on other hospitals faster than here. You see why this hospital was rated very low.

The first time I was there was actually quite fine, i was well attended and given a lot of support with my pain. I was admitted to observation without question and was helped beyond what i had expected considering the reviews. There are good things to say, but there is a lot of negatives to overcome before this hospital can truly be great. But when it comes to the good, the doctor i saw did understand my anxiety and debrided the wound and removed the nail while i was sedated and went the extra mile just to make sure i was treated well and i experienced less pain here compared to a similar surgery anywhere else. .

Thank you to the enrire team at the Emergency department and the recovery center of Lasalle General. I was admitted for appendicitis which was inflammed and had to be operated on ASAP. I stayed at the hospital for 7 days. The nurses, doctors and surgeon took very good care of me and were very kind and attentive to my needs. Everyone at that hospital works very hard to help all the patients. I didn't have a phone charger and Abdel the orderly searched to find me one. The cleaning people helped me find the gift shop. All 3 shifts were excellent and I even shared a few laughs. They say hospital food is bad but not there! The food was very good. I am extremely grateful to everyone that took care of me.

"The worst hospital" - said the patients who waited in the Emergency for 12 hours and without getting to the doctor left at 3 am. From 12 am to 3 am, only 2 people was called. Only 1 doctor works at night. Now, due to the inability to see a doctor, everyone goes to Emergency, but the number of doctors in the Emergency remains the same. I would like also to say that a few years ago, the hospital made expensive repairs. But now is the same: dirty, I saw mice near the entrance. the seats are very uncomfortable, it is impossible to sit on such chairs for 12 hours.

I brought my wife here, screaming from the pain in the right side of the abdomen. No one looked at her for two hours and they prevented me from entering because I did not corona vaccinated.. It's okay. I don't want to enter but let the doctor examine my wife whos screaming and crying in pain.. She stayed like that without any attention from anyone or any proper medical care and it was possible death. she stayed like that for two days until they discovered that there was a huge watery cyst on the ovary. She could have died while the nurses were completely did not care to her screaming and crying. It was the worst two days of my life. I don't know if I can sue them. after the cyst was discovered, they decided to perform surgery to remove it, and after the surgery decision, she waited 4 hours, screaming and crying, but without any humanity or mercy from the medical staff as a whole. it is third or fourth world. I really want to sue them.

I gave birth here and had a great experience, but for anything else other than birth do NOT come here. Emergency isn't even "Emergency " you wait there for EVER no matter WHAT, I'm here for a very important reason, spend from 4-6 in the waitin room Than you wait another 10 hours in the room waitin for the doctor! I'm never coming back here unless it's to give birth. So unorganized.
