😠 I'm extremely frustrated and angry after going to see Dr. Koenekoop. I waited 6 months for this appointment for my daughter who has special needs who is also awaiting to be checked for autism. She tried doing the eye exam 6 months ago and freaked out. Now I'm told to wait another 6 months. This man... I'm extremely frustrated and angry after going to see Dr. Koenekoop. I waited 6 months for this appointment for my daughter who has special needs who is also awaiting to be checked for autism. She tried doing the eye exam 6 months ago and freaked out. Now I'm told to wait another 6 months. This man didn't even give us 5 mins. Of his time.i pretty much begged him to try one more time while I hold her down. He refused. I know he saw the desperation on my face. But hey as long as he was able to swipe her medicare card. I don't understand Doctors who are working with children don't understand that you might have to give a little more. He has no business working with children. I've been fighting to get my daughter's eyes properly checked literally for at least three years now. She's a patient at the Mackay center but they are limited to what they can offer her until a complete diagnosis is done. But apparently montreal doesn't have doctor's capable to work with child with needs. I'm at a loss.i literally cried all the way home. I just want my baby to see properly before she starts kindergarten. What a waste of time. Very disappointed in Dr. Robert koenekoop.

Not impressed with this clinic. My daughter Dr, Dr Stein retired, which is understand however it would have been nice to be inform. Plus I called before she retried and still didn't get any appointment. Now we don't have a Dr for our daughter. They tell to go government website and wait for a Dr. This is disgusting. I'm impressed with how this clinic handles simple. Can't even get a appointments even before this, they never answer there phone.

Can't get a simple prescription renewed. The pharmacy sent a fax for a renewal and there was no response from the clinic. If you call, no one picks up. If you leave a message, no one will call back. There is no email address. Incredible.

My children's doctor retired and the clinic simply dropped us telling us to go find another pediatrician. This tells you all you need to know about their level of care.

The customer service is horrible, the receptionist does not take even two minutes to talk and check the available appointments. We have been with this clinic for 7 years and we go only once a year for checkup but even for that, I really consider to change that.

Love Dr. Kimia. Amazing emergency clinic. Got really lucky getting a spot here for my son.

My kid was coughing his lungs out. Dr. Useless decided to wait and see before doing anything. ‘If he gets worse, come back and we’ll do something´. Don’t know what that means. How worse does he need to get before they decide to do something? Very subjective. I’ve seen lots of doctors, some more competent than others, but never this bad. They don’t listen to parents and that’s the source of the problem. And at $50 a visit, it makes no sense justifying coming back just for the heck of it. Absolute waste of time. They’re more interested in making a buck than care and reassuring parents. Be warned!

My son is being treated by Dr Alizadehfar for an allergy: a very kind doctor, very competent and who takes the time to explain everything well.

My daughter's doctor was away so we were seen by Dr Koenekoop. He stopped all her previous medication and gave her a new diagnosis and new medication. Her eye became inflamed in less than 24hours. I called his office several times but no response despite leaving a message. Not impressed!

Not impressed. My children were followed by Dr Stein who was amazing but retired. We were never informed that she was leaving and now impossible to get another doctor.

Dr. Kimya provides incorrect information on feeding and does not listen. Very good at answering calls. Told me to pull off my baby after 15 minutes per breast as 'studies show' this is when they get most milk, and after that it is a waste of energy for them. Really pushed formula feeding, which I didn't want. And gave lots of other inaccurate advice which I unfortunately followed. Seems to follow best practices from 70s/80s, perhaps when she went to school. Very prompt at answering calls and booking billable appointments... Oh and makes slightly off colour remarks about how 'people from other cultures' cosleep.

Had an appointment for 9:10 for ophthalmology for my son, second in line for the day. It's 10:10, I haven't seen an ophthalmologist yet in the building. For an office of "Professionals" with high level skills, it seems operating on a schedule is a level too high. It's a disgusting trend by doctors offices in this city, their time is more important than anyone elses. This place is garbage

We are former patients of the clinic. Our pediatrician has retired. At first the clinic said it was no big deal, each time I can just call them and they would assign a pediatrician for us. But the reality is that when we call them, the front desk says our pediatrician has retired and we are no longer their patient, they can't make an appointment for us and ask us to find another clinical. To call a clinic, it is always with need and with hope, but the clinic broke its promise and left us in a difficult situation. If at the beginning they had said they couldn't take us and asked us to look for a clinic, we would have been lucky to find a new clinic. But we lost time and it was no longer possible to find a pediatric clinic. Another effect is that our pediatrician retired for 3 years but until the end of last year they informed me of our pediatrician's retirement. We are not happy with everything they have treated us since our pediatrician retired. And if you have a pediatrician who will retire soon, watch out!!!

Thank you to the whole Dr Koenekoop team! Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by such a warm reception. Glenda and Dr Koenekoop were so patient and detailed in explaining all my daughter’s needs. Thank you for all you do!

I have been going here since 2010 for all of my children. All the doctors are attentive and knowledgeable and take the time to do a proper full check up on my kids and answer my concerns efficiently. Also, having the walk in clinic is an added bonus.

After years of being sent to another institution without getting answers or to our child’s eye issue, Dr Koenekoop took the time to thoroughly explain her situation. It is the first time in 4 years someone examined her eyes properly. Dr Koenekoop took the time needed and set us at ease. He is kind and compassionate, and his assistant was fantastic with our daughter who is petrified of eye drops. So happy and relieved we were finally referred to the right team.

Amazing clinic! I can get an appointment anytime I need one. Either with our pediatrician or the doctor on call. There is always someone that picks up the phone during working hours, rather than having to call within a small window of time. I'm so happy with the care of my three children here. Also, appointments to see a specialist are easily available. Since moving to Quebec I have had to deal with a lot of annoyances within the health care system but the service at this clinic is refreshing.

So far very happy with this clinic. Our doctor is very nice and takes great care of our little one . I like that they respond well to email so you don't have to wait on hold.. You can also do your vaccines in the same spot and they do morning call ins.

If there was a possibility to put zero stars I would!!! THE WORST RECEPTIONISTS’ and APPOINTMENT service!! They canceled my sons appointment because the doctor has a meeting! They are impossible to reach, after waiting on the phone for 20 minutes at a time they send you straight to voicemail. I will be contacting my sons medical team to have us referred to a professional clinic. I recommend you do the same!

my child is 3 years old and 9 months with a ppssibility of autism. when we got at the appointment the receptionist ask me if my child was wearing a mask that the doctor might ask my child to wear a mask.we were told to wait in the front desk. their was also other kids about the same age as my child at the appointment that came with both parents and was not ask to wear a mask . they were allow to go to the back and wait in the waiting room (play area). the appointment was at the ophthalmology with Dr. Koenekoop. my child had a major tantrum and even if i had try to calm her down . it doesnt always work because of her condition. i also explain to his assistance and to Dr. Koenekoop that my child was being evaluate for autism . he did not hesitate to tell me that my child was indeed autism and that he was disappointed also that my child was disturbing everyone in the clinic. i asked him a question regarding my child eyes. he answered that he couldnt hear me since my child was screaming and crying. he did not bother to even make me repeat . he asked me to dress my child in the front and he left in a hurry from the examination room.

We went to the Optha clinic to see Dr. Robert Koenekoop. It’s already an hour wait, and during our turn for assessment, I wanted to show him a video of my 9month old daughter’s left eye. He told me to wait outside while he sees another patient. I asked why? And he said “because mothers take so long to find a video”. Mind you, I already have the video ready to play. He already went outside as if urging me to go out. I pleaded that I have the video ready. He and his assistant were laughing, surprised that i have the video. He proceeded to talk to me about my daughter outside in the waiting room… where everyone can hear. He does not practice confidentiality this doctor. I dont get why he cant just talk to me while in the room. P.S. Onthe good side, the receptionist and other staff are nice and welcoming

Offers no minor emergency care for children such as for something like bronchitis. I called 811 and I was told to contact my daughter's pediatrician's clinic for help. Person at clinic said they were all booked up for the day and to call back the next day. And the same person gave us a number to call at 8:30 am when it opened the next day. I even asked the person if I could book an appointment right then and there and she said no, no, just call back tomorrow at 8:30 am. So, I woke up and called the number, but it didn't work. I got through to no one and couldn't leave a message. I sent an email request instead. Or I tried. But no one called us back either. The information I was given over the phone appeared to be a lie. I later noticed I got an email from The Children's Clinic saying they had resolved our request when all they told us was to call back the next day and gave us a number that didn't work. The email they sent also seemed like a fake email to cover their own lack of services. In the end, we ended up spending $250 at a private clinic to get amoxicillin for a 9 year old. Why not wait to see a doctor? Our daughter had a fever and was not eating. Only other public option was to wait in the emergency room of a hospital for 15 hours with a 9 year old for some penicillin. Thanks Children's Clinic! All this coupled with its already creepy reception staffed with unfriendly receptionists in their mandatory all black dress code (at a children's clinic!!!??), it seems like a real world dystopia now.
