I wanna know who the bar girl was that had the AUDACITY to make fun of me for crying when my friend was sent to the hospital because she was unresponsive. Imagine making fun of the customers who are supposed to be tipping you? Along this they refused to let me back inside, while my jacket was still inside and left me standing in the freezing cold. Im a girl btw (used a fake account) and should not have been left outside like that, where everyone I showed up with was inside. Got bottle service that night too AND was forced to tip 20%, waste of my money. edit: y'all are hilarious with writing good reviews to make the bar look better after all the bad reviews. We had to pay way too much for a mediocre dance floor and an overpriced (read $130) bottle of bad champagne with a sticker still on it. It doesn’t matter if you come with a group of four girls, all this place cares about it taking as much of your money as they possibly can. I’m imploring everyone who comes across this review to skip this place and go to someplace else, for the sake of your sanity, night and wallet. I am currently typing this from inside the club. It gets two stars because the lights were kind of cool and the benches were comfy. But the lights are cool everywhere you go in Montreal. Seriously skip this place. You might read this and think “oh it’s not that bad,” but it is.

We gave this place another try and there’s been a huge improvement. The doorman was very friendly and sweet. Way way more fun and there’s more girls then guys. And the place doesn’t smell, because they blast the Air Condition ON. They play good music and the drinks are average price. The ATM fee is 3 dollars. Compare to all the other night club were it’s more guys then girl and feel like a shark type. This place is my top 3 favorite nightclub in Montreal.

I'd give zero stars if it was possible. Management is extremely disorganized, promoters should not be given responsibilities seeing as they are incapable of handling any, and the bouncers need to develop some sense of spatial awareness. My friends and I had made reservations 2 weeks prior to the date we had decided to go, and we showed up at 9:45, 15 minutes before the opening of the club. The bouncers kept letting people without reservations in, even though we had been standing in front of them for 2 hours. They then refused to let us in, stating that they reached full capacity. We continued to stand in front of the club thinking that if enough people left we might get let in. During this time the bouncers threw a person on top of me. My friends and I came from a different province, expecting to have a good night here. Yet, our night was ruined. We are completely disappointed with management skills, in utter shock with the incapabilities of the promoters, and disgusted with the unnecessarily aggressive nature of the bouncers. We will not be returning and won't be recommending this place to anyone.

Horrible service, after spending 1400 dollars, we are thrown out and accused of stealing a bottle, which is not true, we asked them to check the cameras they refused. They punched one of us, even though we showed no signs of violence and were extremely polite, they threw out our stuff in plastic bags, a jacket, a bag and a driver's license were missing, when we asked to send one person to check for the things, we were denied our request. The only helpful person was Yohan, god bless his heart. I am never going again, worst service I have ever experienced.

Got dragged down and pushed down the stairs by a bouncer at this club after telling someone to be careful after they hit me while they were fighting with someone else! After a few years I am still having medical issues due to this! If you do club there, my advice make sure you are never alone and be ready to film the bouncer if they come to you for proof! Sadly I didn't have much proof and the club wasn't very cooperative, I cannot say more as legal action will be taken! They also lied to the cops and called me a drunk disturber! Be careful guys, avoid this place at all cost if you care for your health! Trust me on this one, I am not the only one they did this too and they will back each other. Their lies are ready!

Do not give your credit card and ID, they will escort you upstairs and try and make you pay $75 each on drinks before returning the cards. If not you have to wait a long time to be escorted back out of the club because they will tell you that you agreed with a verbal contract. We waisted 45 mins with this scam tactic. The vacuum cleaner sales man on my street had a better scam tactic than this club. Do not waste your time.

If your go to vibe is a mildly homophobic security staff, a curiously high service fee for the abysmal quality and a dance floor so packed you can smell four different Axe body sprays whilst contemplating your poor choice of venue for the night, then this is the hole for you! Edit : Reading reviews of bouncers allegedly throwing people down the stairs and the likes should tell you all you need to know (lol?) Who the hell runs this circus.

A complete disaster. They make you tip to go to the bathroom. The bouncers are on a huge power trip and they’re very disrespectful as is the entire staff. They just want your money; you pay but you get absolutely nothing. Let’s not talk about how unsafe the whole atmosphere is at this club. Avoid at all costs.

They didnt let anyone with a reservation inside the whole night, we had to go wait with everyone else, the bouncers were very aggressive for no reason (they also started fighting out of nowhere and pushed a guy on a car). But they also let someone inside who had his joins destroyed because he just beat up someone and righ after he threatened a girl to stab her. Inside was okay tho very pricey (tho you have to watch your drink, a couple of GHB stories from that place). The poor organisation and the terrible doorman/security made it that I will never come back there.

This place has the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any bar. The sad part was that it wasn’t even that busy. I asked a bartender for two drinks, 15 minutes go by and still no drink. I flag her down and ask her about our drinks and she tells us they are all out of the liquor required to make the drink. Instead of telling us she seemed to have forgotten about us until I asked her what was wrong. I then order a different drink, and she forgets about us AGAIN! Another 10 minutes go by and at that point I’m just done with this place. Never coming back.

Worst customer service ever. The coat check girl and manager can't even do their job properly. The coat check girl gave my coat to another person and said that a reimbursement would be given. When the situation happened, I asked one of the bar girls if they can bring one of the managers so we could explain the situation. He came to the bar but refused to talk my friends and I because he didn’t know us. After back and forth for over three weeks, they did not even give a full reimbursement. Very unprofessional and communication is horrible.

Absolutely horrible experience! Payed $23 for a ticket and we were in line from 11pm to 12am at which point the bouncer said that they were at capacity and told us to leave. Avoid at all costs and go somewhere more fun and were they treat you with respect like Apartment 200, Cave or Cafe Campus

My 18 year old sister and her friends were all drugged at Rouge tonight. Security didn’t do anything to help us and even seemed to think the situation was quite funny when we explicitly told them what happened. This is the third time I’ve had someone I know get drugged here, please avoid going here all together.

RUN, DON'T WALK... far away from this place. Seriously, absolutely disgusting and terrible club. I cannot believe we wasted our money to be treated the way we were on New Years Eve. To start: we had a booth package that included 15 tickets. There were 8 of us going; the 6 girls they let in no problem, but then started arguing that the 2 guys couldn't come in. We had to spend a few minutes at the door convincing the bouncer to let them in. First strike. We had 15 tickets and used half of them, and you're going to get upset about 2 guys? No one told us that there was a gender requirement when booking a booth. Grow the hell up. Coat check: right at the front door, an absolute mess to line up. Took forever. Booth: meh. Could be worse. People kept walking up the stairs and falling into the booth though, the traffic was so packed in there and it got frustrating. Bottle girl was very nice. Bars: drinks are a decent price but good luck waiting forever. Bartenders could be nicer. Card limit is frustrating ($40 credit only) Washrooms: THE MOST DISGUSTING THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN. Very early in the night, I noticed (because you can clearly see in) that the mens washroom had an attendant, who had gum and cologne and was handing paper towels to the men. The women's washroom? More like the wild west. You're lucky if the toilet paper holder in your stall had a cover. You're lucky if your stall had a functional lock. A couple of hours into the night, and it was truly a health hazard; no soap, a toilet overflowing with vomit and feces, toilet paper all over the floor, vomit everywhere, no paper towels... absolutely DISGUSTING. Meanwhile the mens room gets an attendant? WHEN YOU DIDNT EVEN WANT TO LET THE TWO MEN WITH US INTO THE BUILDING? Seriously this club was AWFUL. Absolutely DISGUSTING. Money grab. Sexist in weird ways. Terrible lay out. I don't have a single nice thing to say. Terrible place, terrible security staff, massive money grab, health hazard.

Went for a friend’s birthday, had a table so getting in was no problem. Had a pretty good time, but I’ll say that they significantly overcrowd the place (coming from someone who has attended other nightclubs) which can make it quite difficult to get around. The staff are so-so. My experience with the staff was okay, but largely because I knew not to really interact with them much. Some security are rather scrappy and I’ve seen them resort to aggression / violence with people much more quickly than is justified.

You have to pay cash EVERYWHERE - even at the bar. The drinks are super super diluted. The place is always super crowded with no room to dance. DJ is alright, queues are super long, don’t believe any “get a free bottle” events they might have - they never stick to their word. You will get nothing.

The reviews are horrifying and the answer are scarier. 3 stars for good luck but damn, a good story in a while wouldn’t hurt. I think what is missing is someone with access that fixes the most common issues by just being reasonable and there. So someone could go talk to that person and be heard. I feel like a lot of the minor issues that turn into horror story could easily been taken care of respectfully and reasonably instead of weirdly (I mean throwing clients down some stairs because it’s too complicated to listen… I mean… come on!). No one is looking for a culprit when everyone is happy. Someone who has the ability to verify cams on the spot or on a regular basis could easily fix most lost coupons, not to talk about the others M night shamalam features. Jeez! Went to go on clubbing with my friends on Friday night last week, and i think i found my favorite destination ! My friends and i booked a reservation and everything went wonderful - good drinks, pretty women, friendly ambiance, and friendly staff. Shout out to Camilo - the best bartender in Montreal - which gave me the best drinks and the best service that i ever had in a nightclub. I am definitely recommending this place to anyone who wants to enjoy nightlife in Montreal!

Well located, a good place for a random Saturday night. We went there for a birthday and the staff was super, the DJ playsthe fashionable music, all good except that the place looks neglected and dirty, you can see that it is not well maintained.

I’d like to begin with the absolute mind blowing charge for guys especially around my age who are asked to give 5$ to tip just for going to the washroom..!! It is very difficult to understand one another despite talking close to each other’s ear,it is beyond below par for a Nightclub setting & I don’t appreciate the prices set for simple drinks like gin/7-up & rhum n coke.Nonetheless,I was not satisfied with my experience at this place & I don’t envision to return in the foreseeable future!

Be careful with this place, some guys bought a lot of bottles and broke them and security never intervened at any time. the worst place with regard to security, they are rude, aggressive and bad people, I saw how they subdued a boy just for separating two girls fighting, in addition to being thrown down the stairs, without thinking about the consequences, they took a girl out carrying her between three, they threw two more girls and let another boy hit someone, so there is discrimination and I saw how the security people keep many forgotten cell phones that the drunk guys who leave them there, be careful and consider there. In addition to all of the above, a bartender wanted to charge an excessive tip. I do not recommend it and I definitely will never go there again, it was my favorite place, the Rouge bar, the worst, and if you go, take care of your wallet and cell phone.

They only attempted to serve our table once we found a ‘server’ who said “no one told me you were here.” They were 1.5h late and still wanted to charge the entire table minimum (already 1am at this point). We would’ve gladly just left the table since it didn’t make sense to still be there, but the ‘server’ went to get her ‘boss’ that just treated the situation with immense attitude and wasn’t willing to listen. Also insanely overcrowded. Their focus is money, not experience.

I never actually saw the inside of this place so couldn't really judge the ambiance inside. However the interaction with the bouncer outside was really something else. So we were 3 guys and there was no line so the lady that works outside said that we need to get a bottle we agreed to that and we said it's fine since that was our actual plan before showing up. However the bouncer came and said that he needs a credit card to give to the waitress. We simply refused and said that we can pay on the spot or as soon as we get in. The bouncer wouldn't listen and started acting up weird and he said no machine is going outside. Am I supposed to trust a bouncer with my credit card ? absolutely ridiculous.. And to complete this great experience he asked for our age and he said that the place is for people from 18 to 22 ... what a disgrace to the great nightlife that Mtl and St-laurent are best known for . Boycott this place and show them how buisness is about trust good vibes and respect between men .

Very poor experience. The security guards were very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I am a Sikh and was wearing a patka (religious head covering), and they showed me a lot of disrespect and caused me public humiliation by asking me to remove it as it was against their “rules”. I was in utter disbelief and shock since I thought that being in a country like Canada, where multiculturalism is celebrated and minorities are celebrated, I would be treated the same as any other entrant, however, this was not the case at Le Rouge Bar. The security guards also made racist remarks, saying that me trying to enter the bar was “haram”, once again showing their blatant ignorance and insensitivity. I genuinely could not distinguish whether these bouncers were ignorant of other faiths, since Sikhs are well established in Canada, or whether they were purposefully being racist, nonetheless, the disrespect was all the same. To add insult to injury, the guards were admitting others who were wearing hats and even durags, which surprised me that they did not break their “rules”. I would not recommend this racist establishment to any person of colour.

Terrible service. We were there for a total of 15 minutes. Enough time to pay for cover and get a drink. The girl at the bar was extremely rude to us, so my friend didn't tip for her shot and the bouncers kicked us out. I have never had such a bad experience and we won't get any of our money back. I'm sure the girl was just having a bad day, but no need to take it out on clients.

I went to rouge with my sisters for my bday and I had the time of my life! The DJ was amazing and the staff was so welcoming. we had no problems with our reservation and the bartender upstairs, Ivannah, was truly the life of the party. Her energy was unmatched. We will definitely be coming back soon!

I never get disappointed at Rouge I love the vibes, the music is perfect. And when I know I get Mia as my bottle girl, that’s when I know i’ll get an amazing night. She’s so fun and always makes me and my friend’s night better. Can’t wait to go back

First timer here! I went with a bunch of friends for a birthday party. Our waitress (Jade) was such a sweetheart, she made sure that we had everything we needed. All in all, I loved the place and the service and I’d come back for future events.

This night club is #1 for real. It's amazing, the DJ is awesome and the staff specially the bartenders are kind and at your service, you don't wait to get served. I personally love Camille, she is super kind and top service. It's way to go in Montreal. Good job Guys.

If I could put zero stars I would. I’ve been to multiple clubs but every single time I go to LeRouge there is something life threatening happening to me and it always is about a security man. Once I was singled out by a security guy that legit wanted to fight me because I didn’t understand why all my friends could enter exept me. Yes I had all my id, I was dress accordingly and also I had a reservation. This guy was so rude that I was legit concerned for my well being. Another time, on another reservation, I went after 11 and they didn’t took reservations anymore and the same happened. And it felt life threatening again. Security guy yelling on us to leave and to not come back and that it was up to us to think ahead and imagine this could happen even if we told them we would be coming at 11. I went a couple of other times with similar experience. The last time a went was the worse. I went for my friends bday, another reservation, everyone respected the rules, everyone was allowed in and the door was very friendly however, once inside, we only got to purchase shots for a security guy to be pushed by someone and then him targeting one of our friends. Let’s not get into details at the end tables were thrown, my friends were aggressively thrown out, choked, beaten and dragged. A female employee saw everything and saw it was not us, so we went to talk it out like adults and the same guy at the entrance that was nice to us deadly provoked one of our guys but si mingling throwing his red bull and answering disrespectfully and throwing hands at him until he attempted to protect himself from the guys drink. Then we got attacked one again by the security. In the streets and all the guys ended beaten once again. We are talking about young professionals with university diplomas and successful careers. No gang not gangsters, properly dressed, educated, decent people and decent looking and no fighters. One of our guys was fully defigured because he refused to fight back. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Everyone left there furious

Always a good time when you go to Rouge bar. The staff is amazing. I’ve always dealt with Mass when I go to Rouge and he’s a big reason I keep going back. His kindness and hard work is always appreciated. He never disappoints. Overall Rouge is and always will be the place to go!

Question I had was what exactly is the dress code, are men able to wear black nice shoes such as timberland boots or black high ankle shoes? Instead of dress shoes? Of course no sneakers And the shirts if someone wore all black? Black T shirt is that acceptable?

Very good vybe and ambiance! Somedays more packed than others. The place is not very small just that there is a lot of people. The age range is younger adults. I do recommend as an experience. Personally i spent lots of weekends at Rouge and it was most of the time a good night. Just make sure to watch your drinks…I had a very bad experience and since then I am no longer interested to go.

Coat check lost our things. When we asked to speak to a manager, he came out, but kept dodging us because he "didn't know us". After a lot of back and forth, they tried to tell us coat check gave us the jacket, but we misplaced the jacket. We tracked down the person that was working at coat check, who acknowledged they did in face lose our things. Very dishonest management and the club is sleazy.

Been here twice and unlike some other reviews I noticed I must disagree with them. I found the bar staff to be extremely friendly and professional. The bouncers were attentive and professional as well. Obviously there was a wait but that's to be expected when you go clubbing. Great music and amazing vibe. Definetly reccomend Rouge to anyone looking for a great night

Absolutely loved Le Rouge Bar! Went Saturday, March 18th, with 12 guys for a Bachelor Party. We didn't have a reservation, but the awesome staff were able to accommodate our whole group. The servers and waitstaff were also amazing. We never had to ask for any refills for our drink mixers. I highly recommend anyone check them out!

Was there few months ago, I really enjoyed my night. Good music and atmosphere. The staff provided a great service and the girl named Nadine who was my bartender 11/10 such a lovely girl.

Always a fun time! Everyone is so fun there and I love their employees, especially Kayla at the bar. She's always having a good time and makes my night 😍 definitely bringing more of my girls over the holidays!!

Im here almost every weekend, it’s like my second home at this point. Music is great, the djs really know what the crowd wants, Service is phenomenal, you get your drinks in less then 2 minutes from the moment of asking. Every time i go im welcomed with open arms and the staff is always on the ball and making sure you’re enjoying your night. Super friendly aswell. I recommend to all the new comers to the night life to definitely come here. All in all, it’s still do this my favourite club in downtown Montreal.

This club could've been really nice but the issue is just the security/bouncers. They just feel so entitled. Fights happen quite often. I witnessed one. My friend got punched by a bouncer and he wasn't even the problematic person in the story since he was trying to stop people. He didn't even punch anyone but the short bouncer still punched him! We even got pictures of the injuries. My friend was so unlucky. Definitely not a safe club. I do not recommend. Told other friends about it and they told me that this club is known to be all over the place, so I'm never going back to that place ever again.

When my sister asked me where she could go for her birthday, I told her I had heard of this club and had been once and liked it. So, she went with her friends for her birthday and her drink got spiked. Then, she got kicked out because she kept falling (because she had been drugged!). Besides the girl who was in charge of giving them drinks at her table, the staff was rude and unhelpful. Then, when talking with my friend, she mentioned that apparently this club is known for having a lot of people's drinks spiked (she knows more than one person that has experienced it). This traumatized my family and my sister. Definitely do not recommend.
