Loved this spot! I absolutely enjoyed every single dish we ordered. Came here twice during my visit to Montréal. The Bombay Banana Smoothie is delicious! The flavors were very alive, some of the most flavorful vegan food I’ve ever had. The pricing is not bad at all, especially considering the portions & great service. Can’t wait to return here! 🔥

The variety of vegan dishes is impressive and a great option to have here in the city. My last experience there however was alarming. There was an entire napkin about 2/3 down my bowl. When I brought it to the waitress’s attention, she was apologetic and told me she’d speak to the manager. She came back and said they’d offer me 20% off. This came out to 4$…. For eating a napkin, who lord knows how hygienic that is!? When she returned again I said I felt it was a little low for the circumstances and she apologized and said that the manager just told her to “offer some sort of discount” and that she wasn’t really sure what to do. I felt really bad for her because she seemed really anxious about it and to be honest the manager should have handled it for her. In the end the bowl was removed from the bill and I also got a free dessert. I dont blame the waitress at all and felt bad she was kind of let down by management. I’m not sure if I’d go back to this place though, given the clear standard for care they place into the food. The price per value just isn’t there and I’m not sure if it’s worth it anymore. Definitely not worth eating a napkin!

Came here from a friend’s recommendation and it suppressed all my expectations. Everything was so flavourful and veggie packed. I got the lox sandwich and my partner got the breakfast burrito, they were both amazing. Will definitely have to come back

Second time here and it was suuuper good!! The portions are really good for how much you pay. Everything tasted fresh and the sauces are to die for… The service was also really friendly but definitely do not go if you’re in a rush, it took a pretty long time to get our bill when leaving and it also seemed like a long time do get your order taken, but everyone is short staffed at the moment and the food definitely makes up for it!!! My sibling got the Gyro which was the best meal out of the three, I got the okonimayaki bowl and my brother got the dragon bowl which is a Aux Vivres classic. Would definitely come again and try their wraps…

Great vegan place. I was amazed at the amount of options that are made available. We had a large chili and okonomiyaki bowl, both were excellent and more than enough to fill you up. A few days earlier we also had a few of these meals to go, which was excellent as well, we had the buffalo chicken wings and the tempeh sate then, both of which were great

A very vast menu of delicious vegan meals, bols, wraps, smoothies and desserts! We loved everything we had. Very nice freindly, helpful service too. For either eating in or take out it always hits the spot.

Amazing food and friendly service. Thank you for an incredible vegan meal to start my day of exploring Montreal! The okonomiyaki bowl is perfection. The mushroom patty, the Buddha sauce, the pickled veg, the steamed veg 🤌🏻 I've never heard of an okonomiyaki burger before, and I must say that it's genius. I bet it's fantastic, as well.

(Translated by Google) It's been 3 weeks since they no longer have the main ingredient on their menu (even if they continue to sell it in the grocery portion ??) and replace it with boiled tofu without warning and refuse to reimburse when we receive the wrong order. Poor customer service for a month as well. Too bad because it was one of my favorite restaurants but it really made a mess.

My favourite vegan food in town. Aux Vivres has a few locations and you’ll be happy anywhere you choose. The food is amazing, portions are exactly what you need, piece is very reasonable and the service is always amazing. I have ordered from here countless times and I am never disappointed. ***also like the other location this spot is very LGBTQ friendly

(Translated by Google) On September 20, I order to bring "my" delicious bowl (for 10 years!) And as soon as I start to eat it it doesn't taste good, something is wrong. I try to ignore it, but no, it's frankly not edible; being too far away to bring it back I throw it away. So I call to tell them (and hope that they offer me another) but the employee says to me: "Ah, I don't see too much ... it's a shame!" end of the discussion. Eeeeee that's it ??! This is your "service to (loyal) customers ?? !! Not strong.

The food is so yummy and filling! The staff is really friendly and easy-going, and the decor is beautiful (especially if you're a plant-person). Their potato wedges are kinda mid, but otherwise INCREDIBLE! I've been getting their take-out cheesecakes for almost 10 years, I highly reccomend!!

Awesome Vegan restaurant with the most delicious food. Came in for brunch and left satiated with a belly full of yummy food. The mango lassi was fantastic better than the original dairy version. Malai kofta and cornbread were exceptional. And the Tempe was marinated to perfection. Great place for vegan food Family friendly and attentive service. Victoria our server was gracious and very attentive and accommodating.

I’ve been going to Aux-Vivre since they opened. However, with the pandemic I ceased going completely until recently. In this recent visit, the first in years, I was happy to see that the food is still as good as the service. The portions are considerate for how much it costs eating there. Their chocolate banana cake is still an old time favourite. I was also happy to see their kombucha collection offers a wide selection of flavours and isn’t filtered. Overall, a positive experience once again.

"LARGE" $20 Chili fills half a cereal bowl?! are you trying to starve us? I used to love Aux Vivres it's been a while since i ate there... this takeout experience was terrible, as what should be hefty meal (LARGE CHILI guys common) i could fit into the palms of my hands.... common guys. you can do better.

My family and I have enjoyed Aux Vivres for more than a decade now, it is the first vegan restaurant I had ever tried as a child, and it's still the only one that I would highly recommend to anyone, without hesitation. As someone that comes from a carnivorous family, vegan food was (and still is) not our first choice for dining, but my whole family wholeheartedly enjoys Aux Vivres. The food is delicious, the portions are huge and you will leave satisfied, without even remembering that everything you ate was vegan. Their food has also stayed constantly excellent, and if anything they are improving with time (if you're a foodie then you can understand how rare a feat that is). So, if you visit, know that you won't regret it! Also, make sure to try their dragon sauce, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for those who enjoy sauces with their food, their dragon sauce is so good I could practically drink it!

Excellent vegan restaurant: great tasting and fresh food. Kids friendly. A good choice of various creative vegan dishes, not just salads, great selection of vegan desserts and drinks. Very attentive service, good location. Will definitely come back again.

This vegan restaurant is one of the oldest in Montreal and it’s obvious why - the dishes are large, flavorful, and nutritious. They have plenty of seating and offer takeout/take away.

(Translated by Google) The takeout was very disappointing. A bowl of lettuce with grated carrots, 2 slices of cucumber, 2 slices of daikon radish, 1 piece of bok choy and 3 small tofu triangles: $ 17. The rice was barely a decoration at the bottom. However in the dining room the meals are usually satisfactory. But this time, not at all.

On my way to Quebec city but I changed routes to stop in Montreal and come to this restaurant. I make a point of eating here whenever I’m in Montreal. I’m not vegan but I eat mostly plant based foods. This place has the yummiest meals ever! Their ingredients are top notch and always fresh. Prices are fair for what you get. Service is great and atmosphere is just perfect. Love everything about this place. I will try to stop by again at the end of my trip.

I am not Vegan, but my sister is. She took 4 non-vegetarians here and we all really enjoyed the food. I paid for everyone's meal and appetizers with drinks and the whole thing came to about $150...So about $37.50 each but we're actually had enough food to feed 8 people! We were overstuffed and nobody could finish their meals. Let me say that the appetizers were the best! The appetizers here are filling and delicious. The only thing I generally didn't like here was the fermented tofu appetizers and meals / that stuff must be an acquired taste. The sauces that came with all of the appetizers were incredibly delicious. Regarding the meals, the sandwich is MASSIVE so make sure you're extremely hungry before ordering that. The bowls were just Ok - they were mostly raw, very lightly steamed with no seasoning ... Very plain tasting. Appetizers were much more enjoyable than the bowls. If you're looking for a vegan option, this is probably the one of the best in the city. One star removed because the ambiance is bad for groups. Diner-like atmosphere is very loud, hard to converse.

I am not sure why this place is typically empty because the food is phenomenal. To boot the staff remember you and are so sweet. We have had the corn bread, Mumbai bowl, and taco wrap from here! Not sure you can make a bad choice, all the food is incredible. Please try the corn bread, I am salivating just thinking about it!

Excellent vegan food, in generous portions with a variety of options. They offer pre-made meals for freezing or to add to your own. I don't think I've ever tried anything that wasn't filling, healthy and delicious.

Ils etaient correctes. I was blown away from the moment I walked in the door. I thought I was in an art gallery, as I gazed upon the beautiful menu. My meal was fantastic as well as the service. Didn’t eat there but order on DoorDash a smoothie and the Thai tacos they were both bad honestly. The smoothie didn’t taste like fresh real ingredients, tasted like powder and water and it’s quite pricy, thought I was gonna get a good quality smoothie but sadly that wasn’t the case. Same with the tacos, not fresh ingredients, doesn’t taste like anything except for grated carrots! Overall feels like a place that lacks quality.

(Finally) Tried the new spicy tempeh wings, they were great! They were quite spicy, and I’m not usually a fan of spicy things so I got the Aoli sauce to balance it out and that worked well! Also got some espresso which was amazing quality.

Nutritious and delicious! I lived around the corner from Aux Vivres, and after moving primarily order through a delivery service. As a heavy meat eater, I was hesitant to try this vegan eatery but went at the request of my sibling. When a cook really knows their ingredients, the taste of food is delicious even with the most humble ingredients. Everything I tasted was incredible, I will be craving this place when I go back home to steel town.

They charge 3.50$ for extra guacamole. Both the containers of guacamole were brown and tasted awful. It was absolutely disgusting and ruined the meal. Doesn’t your staff realize that once it’s gone black like that it starts tasting off? How can you send that out to a customer. Thanks for the terrible 35$ meal.

My boyfriend is vegan (and I am not), but the food is delicious even for a non-converted. If it's your first time, order one of their bowls with their tempeh. There's a reason why this vegan shop has stuck around through time. Pictured is the dragon bowl with grilled tempeh- what really makes this dish stand out is the ginger peanut dressing, it's got a zing that makes ordinary raw veggies taste like something special

I'm not vegan but I enjoyed overall my experience! The food was good and tasty. I took a corn bread as an appetizer, a sweet potato burger and a mango smoothie. All in, it was a bit over 30$ for my lunch but it was worth the try for a meat lover like me. I would go back but I would keep it under 20$ this time.

My mum and I both got the Mumbai Bowl for takeout, which consists of organic brown rice, chickpea & potato curry, pakoras (fried spiced chickpea balls), paratha (puffed Indian bread with veggie butter), mint & tamarind chutneys, and carrot. The food was flavorful and hearty, and the serving size was huge - enough to make a voracious eater like me feel full for hours! Definitely recommend this dish if you go to Aux Vivres. Service is friendly and price is reasonable, especially for such a large serving. They also have a small grocery section where they sell many desserts, whole cakes, cookies, sauces, refrigerated/frozen meals, stews, burgers, nuts, tempeh, etc.

Normally I never write any food reviews but this time was an exception and had to share my review. We never had this much terrible vegan food in our life. The sauces were awful. The should stop Paratha in menu. They were not even close to true Indian paratha and they were burnt. Potato’s with burger was half cook and burnt on edges. The prices are ridiculously high. 5$ for chapati and it was not tasted like chapati.

I think Aux Vivre is one of the best vegan restaurants across Canada. I recall when it was a little hippy joint on Saint-Dominique back around 2002. Shortly there after it moved to St. Laurent and started making the most wonderful wraps on chapati bread!!! Recently, I saw a Aux Vivre inspired BLT recipe in another vegetarian cookbook and heard they bought Nobel Bean.....what a delicious vegan success story! Awesome food all round but AMAZING sandwiches rolled in chapati... if its your first time, probs try the BLT.... I think there has been some changes to the menu since I last went there but Ive tried the Lox, Vege pate and Gyro and they are all yum. Next time Im in Mtl Ill go again, can't wait!

Amazing food and service! I’m not vegan nor vegetarian and I really like this restaurant

I’ve tried almost everything on the menu so far, and love ❤️ it all! My favorite dishes are on the comfort food menu, or the weekend brunch- I love the heuvos rancheros! For a light dish the deluxe salad, it’s a meal! I’ve never been disappointed and have been a loyal happy customer at Aux Vivres for almost 11 years now. I’m not sure why it too me so long to rate them! 5 stars!!! Photos to follow 😎

I've never been to a completely vegan establishment before since I'm an omnivore, but a friend of ours suggested us this place while we were visiting and I thought, why not. Can't explain how surprised I was by the deliciousness of the things. We only came for coffee and a dessert, but still. Maybe if we return some day I'll order a main dish as well (or just a ton of desserts), but for now... ... the desserts were amazingly good (not cheap though, keep that in mind). I had the Gâteau Faux-Mage. Heavenly! Seriously! It was waaaaay better than a typical cheesecake you can order anywhere else. I'd kill to have the recipe and be able to make it at home myself over and over. Husband ordered Apple Pie which was great as well, but the Uncheesecake got me so bad I hardly wanted to try his dessert. :) Coffee came with almond milk and so did my Earl Grey tea. Both great. This place has very friendly staff. They speak English and menu has two sides - French and English. What more could one want? I'd give them 10 stars if I could. :)

(Translated by Google) If I could put 0 star I would put it. The food is simply inedible. Spicy like never before and tasteless. I do not understand all this praise.

I think its one of the first vegan places in Montreal. I first started going here 4 years ago, and opened my horizons, thanks to them I love tempeh now!!

(Translated by Google) It's really not easy to find an interesting vegan meal that doesn't have nuts in it. Stop putting pecans, almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, cashews and etc in any interesting dishes. All that's left is simple soup and boring salad.

Amazing food!! I had the Okonomiyaki Burger and it was delicious!! The potato wedges with the spicy mayo is yummy too. My husband had the gyro and he loved it also!! Finished off with a berry uncheesecake! Highly recommend!!

First time here and wow Callan was an all star employee . Explained everything so well and even came outside to give me my order even tho they were so busy. Truly made an impression for a first time visit . I own a restaurant chain and I would be so grateful to have someone like him representing my brand . Great job guys .

Absolutely love this place - have been going every week or so since finding it. The Dragon bowl is so delicious, fresh, and filling, and the tempeh is perfect with it. Friendly staff and lots of fun drinks and snacks you can get as well. Would very highly recommend to anyone!

Overpriced bowls. I paid $14 for some lettuce, carrots and 4 little pieces of Tofu. Taste is ok, nothing special. Doesn't worth it...

What happened here Aux Vivres? This used to be my go-to place for, yes expensive, but quality, full of nutrients food. Now I just got a 23dlls bowl of brown rice with dressing of what used to be the main dish.

Excellent vegan restaurant with diverse food options and a fair price for what you get. The bowls are very filling and the sauces are delicious. Staff was great, and the restaurant setting is very inviting (cool restaurant-personalized dividers between tables). Will be a regular visited restaurant in the future for myself.

I’ve been a customer here for over 12 years. There has been a dip in quality with the food in recent times, but I always have a great time when eating in the restaurant! The carrot cake is bomb. The boutique beside the restaurant is packed with all kinds of prepared goods, the service can sometimes be slow and the cashiers aren’t always the most friendly but recently I ran into Linda, who works at the Plateau location and was very friendly to me, and went above and beyond after the restaurant got my order wrong!

Their menu is big and they have a wide variety of options. The food I recieved was great. I ordered the okonomiyaki burger and my friends had the gyro, which was very flavourful. I'm not even vegetarian or vegan, but I would eat here again and again.

Aux Vivres is one of my go to places for vegan cuisine. The most important thing is that you have so many options ^_^ We had the Mezze and Chapati appetizer and the Okonomiyaki bowl plus berri notcheescake for desert. They were super tasty while being healthy and good for the planet and animals😋

Had a lovely lunch here with my wife. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and the staff was so friendly. We failed to get our server's name but I believe it was Viva. She was wonderful. Extremely nice and her recommendations were spot on. Also, the restaurant was super affordable with generous portions. We will definitely be back next time we are in Montreal!

Thoroughly enjoyed the chapati which was a cross between a pita bread and a naan, served with five dips/ sides. Chilli was good too. The brownie was a bit dry but again, I have never tasted a vegan brownie before so ill give it a benefit of doubt.

Visited recently for dinner. Great vegan options! We had the Dragon bowl with tofu and another with a cauliflower patty and both were super yummy and filling. The potato wedges are awesome. Quick service, great vibe and good food.

Clean establishment, friendly service, the kitchen is fast and efficient. The food is superb, my Thai bowl was fresh, flavourful, and has been a repeat favourite of mine. The carrot cake is a must try for anyone a fan of sweets.
