The waitress was very kind and the menu had a good amount of options. At first I thought the prices were high for the main meals, but considering that there is an appetizer included, its okay! However, I did find the quality of the food was ordinary. My dish as well as my friends were all bland although not bad tasting. I would have given 4 stars, but the responses of the owner to the reviews are horrendous. I am very shocked that clients would be treated that way after saying their honest and well explained opinion. Because of that, I will not return to this restaurant and will not recommend it. Its unfortunate because the food was alright and those replies could easily have been avoided.

Decided to try a Vegan meal and was pleasantly surprised. Went simple this time with a plant based cheese burger. I could tell from the first bite but then it grew on me. Will visit or try again. Paired the burger with a nice Ale (Alchemiste Red). The starter soup which was carrot based was refreshing.

The last two or three times that I’ve been to Vegano, the experience was good overall. However, after this last time, I believe that there has been a great decline in the food quality, service and taste. It took about 40 minutes for the main dishes to arrive and when they did, it was an underwhelming experience to say the least. I got the cornbread with grilled vegetable entree and the shrimp risotto. The grilled vegetable entree was bland and soggy. The shrimp risotto was extremely greasy, bland and did not taste good overall. I took a few bites and felt queasy right away. I also ordered a mocha latte which did not taste good either- it tasted like mocha powder in water and it was also expensive for a small cup ($5.95). For dishes to be priced at $20+ I always expect that the food quality will be good. I’ve never had a restaurant experience where I did not like anything that I ordered- this would be my first. Now I’m going back home feeling nauseous and regretting eating at Vegano.

As a vegan I’m always looking to try out new restaurants and I was really rooting for this place but was very disappointed. Also, this is my the longest review I’ve ever written, so bare with me here. Everything was overpriced, especially the $27 pizza which had Daiya cheese and extremely soggy dough. Seriously just trying to give some constructive criticism here, please consider changing your pizza.. it was not good at all, we basically ate the mushrooms and crust because the rest of it was completely soggy. If you know anything about vegan food you’d know that there are plenty of great vegan cheeses out there and that Daiya is one of the worst.. not even pizza pizza uses Daiya cheese. But really, for a 100% vegan place I was expecting home made cashew cheese for that price. I can literally make vegan cheese from scratch in 10 minutes at my home. One of the pasta dishes we got was good (first item on the menu, can’t remember the name) and the appetizers were good as well (the reason for giving it 2 stars instead of 1) the other pasta dish we got with Italian sausage was luke warm, pretty bland, and barely had any sausage at all. Also, something you should know before you come... there’s a sharing fee of $15 if not everyone at the table gets an entrée (this cost is up from an $8 sharing fee which I now see on reviews from only 3 months ago). When I heard that sharing fee I was pretty much ready to leave, not even because of the extra cost but because of the principle of it. I was frustrated with management at the fact that they don’t write a disclaimer on the menu. I felt bad for the server who has to stand there and explain to their customers of this policy, that’s not fair for them - it should be noted on the menu for everyone to see before they order. Be up front with the extra fee and don’t make your employees break the news to the customers at their tables. P.s. maybe you should take a couple tips from Virtuous Pie, a vegan pizza place that serves $12 thin crust, not soggy pizzas with homemade vegan cheese and great flavours. Right now they’re only in Vancouver and Toronto but when they eventually come to Montreal maybe you could mix in a visit and get some much needed guidance on how to make an edible pizza.

Beautiful food, beautiful service and beautiful ambience. Must have if you’re vegan/vegetarian. The food presentation is immaculate. We got the mushroom risotto, truffle tagliatelle, crispy mushroom burger, and the soup of the day was cream of broccoli. So good! Their mocktails are really refreshing as well. Really sweet servers, you can expect to have a good meal here.

We tried the other location three times before giving up on the brand, but clearly, that was our mistake because this location is night and day difference. The service was friendly and quick. The food was presented well and tasted amazing. We actually went back the day following because we were so impressed, and I think we have a new go-to brunch spot here. Try it out!

We were just looking for a restaurant on the way back to the hotel, and wanted something less expensive (we had fine dining restaurants 2 nights in a row), and we found LOV. We were not intentionally looking for a vegan restaurant, but we are ok, so we decided to give it a try. Turned out food was great, I couldn’t tell there was no meat in the lasagna, and the soup was tasty. Healthy, tasty, and reasonably priced, not a bad place to go.

Boho brunch vibes in a classy, instagram worthy restaurant at LOV. LOV has been on my list for many years and I finally got a chance to go! It definitely lived up to its hype, the quality of the vegan food is amazing. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious. We ordered the chick n waffle (fried oyster mushroom) which was so good you aren’t going to miss chicken (we aren’t vegan ! ). The tofu Benedict was a favourite for the family, it surprised us and was delicious. The granola bowl is a great option should you not be in the mood for a heavy savoury breakfast either. The golden milk is a warm, cozy, and immune boosting drink that’ll be great on a cold winter & fall morning! The mango tango is a good smoothie , that’s not too sweet. Thank you for the kind lady for serving my family and I. Although the kitchen had some issues with getting our order, our server made it up to us kindly. Thank you! I recommend reservations via OpenTable.

My friend and I ordered a few different dishes to share. The portions are huge so we had plenty to take home. The hits were the grilled cheese, the fried pickles and the tortellini. The omelette was super dry and not very tasty so I would not order this again. The wait times were very long which is the main reason I’m giving 3 stars.

I want to like this place, but the prices are way too high for the quality of the food. Our faux eggs were super dry, and the "french toast" was more like a bread pudding. Plus the food portions are too much, almost everyone left with food to go in styro boxes (which they should change too). Why not make less food, better quality for a cheaper price? Oh and the decor is pretty rough. There is lots of potential, but right now it's not good at all.

Service is 5 stars, it's a beautiful restaurant with great staff who makes you feel very welcome. The food and the flavors could be a lot better. The fried Brussels sprouts in buffalo sauce had a really great flavor but were $14 for a very small portion, and the the other dishes like the coconut curry and signature cheeseburger were bland. It seems to be hit or miss depending on what you get. Matcha ice cream was good

You will love everything about LOV. The service, food, portions, price and atmosphere are incredible. Welcoming and comfortable. Excellent choice on the menu. We started with the King Oyster Scallop, beyond delicious. Then the mushroom risotto and the beet tartare ... delectable perfection. Ending with the brownie and crème brûlée, pure heaven. As vegans, we recommend 100% coming here more than once. As folks that love deeply, joyful food, we recommend the world eat here.

This place is 100% vegan and 100% great. We made a reservation, highly recommend to do so, and we had high expectations and they were definitely met I'm vegan and my partner isn't. She loved all the food there and didn't miss meat at all. We decided to share 3 plates and it was the better choice because we got to try several things. She really loves the crustini, it was rich and filling. My favorite was the fish tacos. Inside is really nice and fresh looking. The service was great and we didn't have to wait long for our server to check back in on us and get us drinks or what ever we needed right away. I suggest you try it for sure.

The food was great, we came for dinner in the evening, we made a reservation. This was our first time trying orange wine and it didn’t disappoint, it was flavourful and not too dry. For starters we had the dumplings, they were nice and cooked to have a good crunch when biting into them and the kimchi fries, the sesame dressing was amazing, we had to ask for more dressing as there wasn’t enough on the fries. For mains we had the creamy gnocchi pesto and the mushroom risotto, both tasted amazing. Both were flavourful and it doesn’t make you miss meat at all. Overall a good experience and would recommend others to try the restaurant.

(Translated by Google) First of all, there are spelling mistakes on the menu and no dishes are detailed. There is only the name of the dish that means absolutely nothing with an emoji-style design next to each dish. The price is quite high so I expect to have dishes developed and well worked. On the contrary, we were treated to imitations of meat accompanied by sliced vegetables extremely thick. The imitation smoked salmon bagel consisted of carrots marinated in smoke essence and cream cheese in industrial quantities with huge slices of red onions. The whole thing sickened, quite simply. The fake chicken fried with rice krispies left pieces of flour and a bitterness in the mouth. The plate came with an accompaniment of overcooked frozen fries covered with a bitter seasoning (to go with the bitterness of the chicken) without salt. In addition, the "salad" of accompaniment is a stack of spinach coated with a large amount of dressing. It is rare that I stop eating my dish even if it is not for my taste but there, I was sick when arriving at my place. Even the chaï latté that I consumed before my meal lifted my heart so much it was sweet. It's a shame because the concept has potential and the employees were very friendly.

Awful experience. We made a reservation for 3pm - they were supposed to close at 5pm - and when we got there the host said they were closed and there was only one couple in the restaurant. We let her know we had a reservation and she told us that they were sold out of most of the menu. She said we could stay or go, either choice didn't matter to her so we decided to stay. Even though she said it was okay to say, she was exceptionally rude the entire time we were there - acting like we did something wrong. To top it off, our burgers were cold and there was a hair in the poutine. She didn't seem to care when we told her. So disappointing because I really wanted to love this place.

Yummy vegan place with a cool vibe. Friendly staff and a lot of vegan options. The tacos weren’t available when we visited which was something I wanted to try so I got the coconut curry with sweet potatoes and it was good. However the star of the show were the Brussel sprouts with the in house buffalo sauce. So good! The mocktails were also good, my husband got the salad and he said they’re good but not amazing. Overall I think it’s a good place if you want to have a delicious vegan meal

It is a delicate restaurant but the portion of the food is larger than my imagination. I went to this place in Tuesday for dinner and many seats have been reserved. I have the kimchi frites and bol d’ête. Both are quite big and I am quite satisfied with that. The frites are not as tasty as the one in McDonald’s but the kimchi style makes it somewhat special. The bowl is impressive for its amazing presentation. It included quinoa, taro chips, avocado, peach and so on. It is definitely a healthy choice for the dinner.

My wife and daughter are vegetarians. I accompanied them to LOV for dinner that day. I was able to make the taste of vegetarian dishes exactly the same as meat dishes, which made me fall in love with vegetarian dishes for a while. Unlike many vegetarian restaurants, this restaurant does not focus on frying. It is still worth recommending, but there are many people and it is not easy to locate. You have to book a few days in advance

Great vegan place. Went there for brunch and it was absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly, there is about 10 choices for breakfast. I got the custard pancakes and my friend/sister both got the French toasts. We couldn't complain and the plate sizes are huge! I heard they make great pasta, definitely going back for dinner!

The menu changes regularly and is always interesting. Service is always courteous and they treat you like a person, no matter how busy it gets. The food is delicious and beyond what you expected. The only restaurant where I consider ordering pasta. Their deserts are to die for. Their cakes are massive. Their brownies are the best I've ever had. Follow their social media account for occasional off the menu items! Don't be fooled by the prices, it is well worth for its quality and the portions sizes!

I love LOV. I was so glad to go back last night after the reopening of restaurants. I always get the brussel sprouts as an appetizer, without fail. If they ever get removed from the menu, I'll probably cry. I don't usually order risotto at restaurants but I do love me some mushrooms, and I was really happy with my choice. The portions are perfect. The staff is always friendly and nice. The vibe and look is top-notch, perfect place for a date or a nice dinner with the girls.

Really enjoyed the experience of eating here. Great ambience - Repainted brick walls and hanging inverted basket lights. Cocktails were excellent (negroni and pink everything pictured below). Fantastic brussel sprouts - I really want to know what the secret is to their buffalo sauce. Kimchi fries were okay, but the Oyster mushroom scallops made up for them. I imagine them injecting the mushrooms with delicious broth... otherwise no idea how they could be so juicy. I'm not a fan of risotto, but I took more bites of it than I would have expected and definitely tasted each individual kernel of rice. Would definitely recommend trying this place. I regret not ordering the mushroom burger.

Excellent spot for vegans (and vegetarians and meat eaters too who enjoy vegan dishes - or don’t yet but will after this experience!). My friend enjoyed the burger and truffle fries and I had the curry dish. Both were great. Also had an affordable ($8 for 5oz.) glass of wine with dinner. Be sure to make reservations on the weekend as they were slammed. We still got a table without them but it was on swinging chairs - fun but not for everyone.

Very elegant place. Love the decore, and staff are super friendly. It was a little pricy, but the food was great. We tried the mushroom risotto, the harvest bowl, the ricotta, asparagus, and toast, and the brownie and ice cream. The drinks were delicious. I had one with cucumber and ginger. Very fresh! I am not a vegan or vegetarian and we went here because one of our friends is. As someone who eats all this was actually a great restaurant. The ricotta cheese was actually amazing! And so was the brownie!! The ice cream - vanilla was hard to hide it was made with soy. Area of improvement- harvest bowl - the tofu was grilled but was frigid out of the fridge, and there was no sauce or dressing on the bowl, so a little bland. But otherwise Delicious. We will go back for sure!

Overall the experience was good but multiple parts of the experience were noticeably lacking. The beet tartare was tasty and flavourful. It could have used some more taro chips, the amount given was not nearly enough to eat the tartare with. The main course was a bit hit and miss. The mujaddara bowl was very tasty and the portion size was very big. There was barely any mujaddara rice in it though which was confusing. The mushroom burger was good, but the tahini was not mixed evenly leading to a few overwhelming bites. The miso soup was missing tofu but they did add some after we pointed it out. The risotto was fine. A bit mushier than it should have been but not bad. The deserts were also hit and miss. The brownie was very dry. The crème brulée was lumpy. The pear was good but it didn't look pretty. And the lavender milk was good. The service was fast and friendly but they removed the plates from the table while we were eating and didn't give new cutlery after the appetizer.

However, the food and service is top notch. Definitally going back! If I had one wish, it would be that they have gluten free dessert options..oh amd a gluten free pizza !! Good spot to bring non-vegans too, they will love it.

If you are looking for filling (vegan) comfort food, with generous portions in the Plateau, look no further than Vegano. Most herbivores and omnivores with large appetites will love this place. They change their menu weekly, but will serve you favorites like waffles and egg-free omelettes, if you ask nicely. Even though they bill themselves as the first Italian Vegan restaurant in Montréal, they are primarily a breakfast/brunch place (served Wednesday through Sunday 9am to 3pm) with a diner-like atmosphere. Please keep in mind that the restaurant currently serves dinner only on Fridays. Reservations are highly recommended. (Bring your own wine.) Their giant slices of cake are also highly recommended.

I didn't get the opportunity to go in person and eat there but I new I wasn't going to miss out the opportunity to order food and eat after reading all the reviews. I saw mixed reviews but let me tell you , I enjoyed every single thing and I'm sure it would taste 100% better in person . This saying the food was amazing , just given the fact that it was a bit cold but all flavor was there. The fries were amazing, I got to try their stuffed crust pizza which was amazing, their cookies are Amazing, their croissants were delicate and fluffy. Their KFC chicken I believe would taste better in restaurant but was still really good. I liked their tiramisu and meatball sub as well . There's just so much to say and I'm disappointed I don't live there anymore to go visit , but I do know when I go back even if I can't go in restaurant I am ordering from them again. Keep up the amazing work , love the food and their patience with me through the whole ordering process. You have to try their fried Oreos. I also got their tortellini made to bring home and cook myself and those were amazing!

I am shocked to see some of the negative reviews about this restaurant. Yes the portions are huge, but since when is that a problem? The waitress had no issue giving us take-out containers for the food we didn’t finish and we had amazing left overs the next day. The price is completely fair and comparable to other vegan restaurants. I’ve been vegan for 4 years and this restaurant gave me the taste of authentic Italian food that I’ve been missing! My sister is not vegan and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. Their brunch menu looks amazing and I will definitely be coming back to try it. Overall, the food is delicious and the staff is attentive and accommodating.

Really nice vegan Italian restaurant. A lot of positive. Nice menu, plenty of choices. The prices are high, but you have an entree included, portion are big and it taste good, so you'll have your money worth. There are 2 choice of entree so if you go with someone you can each take one and share. The plates are huge, so don't eat all day or you'll have no choice to take back some home. The pasta are amazing. I the pizza is good, but the sauce was a little bit to much. I didn't get to eat desert because I was full, but I'll come back for sure to eat some. Small little restaurant, cozy and nice ambiance. People are really nice there. Would recommend of you are looking for a good Italian restaurant even if you don't eat vegetarian/vegan.

My mum and I visited Vegano while visiting from England/Toronto and it was so good that we ate here three times in four days. The only reason we didn't eat here the fourth time was literally only because it was closed. The food is phenomenal, the portions huge, the prices extremely reasonable (could EASILY charge more) and the staff fantastic. Well worth the visit and definitely somewhere we will return to if we're ever back in Montreal!

(Translated by Google) I really liked the place, the dish was excellent but a little expensive, I had the avocado and dutch omelette sauce, rather a type of pancake and the portion of this omelette was really too big. The little beet dip was super good with my sweet potatoes. Really good and very good.

(Translated by Google) Seriously mind blowing! The portions are perfect for people who like to eat. All the dishes are excellent. Keep a place for dessert ... The baklavas are tiny, but the strawberry cake and the ice cream sandwich are meal plates. The staff is excellent, helpful and pleasant (the plate was even adapted for my autistic son). Best restaurant of my life! I didn't have time to have a sit-down meal during my trip but I knew I wanted to check this place out before I left Montreal. It's in a good location and the decor was very welcoming and inviting. I ordered the Big LOV cheeseburger with side salad. It was a great meal and held up very well on my way back to my room for the night and tasted great. The only thing they could improve on is a little less sauce on the burger as it made the bread soggy and the burger started to fall apart as I was eating it. Other than that, it was great and hope to have a sit-down meal here in the near future.

Food 4 Stars. Service 3.5 Stars. Cleanliness 3.5 stars. Ambience 5 stars. We ordered the macroni and cheese and also the risotto. The food was pretty good, I liked the crumbly things on top of the macroni and cheese. The risotto could be a tiny bit more flavourful but overall it was pretty good. Maybe because we didn't make a reservation and was seated at the bar, so as a result we didn't really have a server attend to us, so the service compared to the other places I've been to recently was not as impressive. Also maybe because we were seated at the bar, they did not clean it properly as there was a huge oil stain on the table that was not cleaned. The ambience was amazing though, it was very pretty inside.

We went there on a Saturday at around 5:30pm. Even though the staff was really nice and attentive, the food was a little disappointing. I ordered the LOV cheeseburger and a peach flavoured cocktail, while my friend had the mushroom burger. The food wasn't exactly hot when it was served and it just tasted "okay". I didn't like the drink as the peach flavour tasted like cough syrup, but this may be very subjective.

Food was incredible. Service was quick IF you made a reservation. Very fancy fine dining. Food was very good and well plated . Small portions but it's expected in fine dining . All vegan was great . But very tight seating and very loud when busy . Otherwise great.

Very cute place, food is good. Little tip if you want the tacos, you can ask with tempeh instead of tofu (thank me later) ;) The wait for the food was a bit long, I mean it depends of people, but they gave us a delicious brownie to compensate.

The place is good and the way they have setup is quite impressive. But the food quantity is way less that they served as compared to the prices. Otherwise the food did taste the good but the quantity is what matters. They should definitely revise and think about that.

Very cute and delicious vegan restaurant with fast and friendly service. The French onion soup was 11/10 -- best I've ever had! The oyster mushroom burger was really good too; it was hard to decide on something because everything on the menu looked great. Would definitely be back for brunch and to try more cocktails. Menu is available in both French & English.

Great vegan restaurant on McGill avenue in downtown Montreal. The food was delicious; I had a waffle with king oyster mushrooms and cabbage Cole slaw and a poached pear with Nutella sauce. Service was a bit slow. Bathrooms clean (unisex).

A truly excellent vegan high dining experience. The menu has changed in the last few months, and a new customer favorite, according to the server, is the mushroom burger. I definitely agree. It was incredible. Atmosphere is airy, bright, and a bit fancy for me. Loved my experience.

Was in the mood for burger and fries. This place seemed to have a good one so I placed an order online, for it and side of brussel sprouts. They called me and said they’re out of those but can give me dumplings. That works! Within 20 min, had my Lov burger, fries and the dumplings in my hotel. Pretty good! The dumplings were fried and had a creamy yummy sauce to accompany them. Would try this place again. Pricey and a bit fancy but seems great.

Such a beautiful spot, especially for anyone who loves taking pictures for socials! Food presentation was immaculate, and the everything we ate was well made, fresh and delicious. We ordered the harvest and dumpling appetizers, the Lov burger with a garden salad on the side (dressing and sauce aside) and the Mujadarra bowl. We will be back again!

As a vegetarian, finding good restaurants can be challenging, but Lov exceeded all expectations. The cocktails were delightful, and the Forest Crostini and Kimchi fries were simply delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking fantastic vegetarian options. Bon appétit!

This is a vegan restaurant with beautiful decors. The food was good once you overlook all the flies circulating inside the restaurant. When asked the server about the fly issue, he replied politely “we are a vegan restaurant, we don’t kill…” I have to admit I didn’t expect that, but perhaps the restauranteur can keep sanitation in mind when serving food too.

We visited LOV on a weekend. It was a busy restaurant. We have to make a reservation before if we want to dine there, but we didn't know about it. The staff suggested to us that they also have a swing sitting available if we are interested. It was a new experience to have brunch on a swing 😁 Being a vegan restaurant, I was so happy to see so many people dine in the restaurant. They have many options in drinks as well. We ordered a Tonic bowl , cafe latte , kombucha and chocolate hazelnut pancakes. The food and drinks were delicious. I will surely visit again. I highly recommend this place for the ones who want to try vegan food.

Best birthday dinner!!! The LOV coconut curry is a good meal option if you like rice. The fried dumpling with that delicious dip sauce tasted like heaven. The big LOV cheeseburger was too good. Everything is vegan, so eat carefree

The most amazing VEGAN place when you are at old port Montreal. Mesmerizing ambience and scrumptious food. Guillaume was a treat to watch at the bar. With his most humble personality and perfect skill , the whole level is lifted up to multiple folds. Must Must visit. Cheers🥂

Whenever my partner and I go on a vacay, I always make sure to pick out one exclusively vegetarian restaurant for him and LOV McGill definitely did not disappoint. I, absolutely, loved the decor and atmosphere of LOV McGill and was impressed the moment I walked in the door. The restaurant was clean and softly lit with unique lighting. The restaurant had both high and standard table seating and the back of the restaurant had several egg chairs. We made a reservation but were early and still managed to be seated fairly promptly. Our server was lovely and helpful. There was a good selection of drinks and the food menu was also quite large and had lots of selection. In the end, we opted for coconut curry and a burger. Both were really good. However, I wished the curry had a bit more flavor to it, though I did enjoy the cashews added to the curry. We ended our meal with a wonderful creme brule, which was also delicious. It didn't have the same texture as normal creme brule, as I think it was made with soy milk, but it was still smooth and delicious. Make sure you order one at the end of your visit too!! Great overall experience. I would have also liked to try their brunch menu but I guess that will have to wait until the next visit.

Upscale vegan with very informative staff, a good option even if you aren’t vegan. Had the mushroom burger and tacos, both of which were great. Vegan espresso martini and orange wine was delicious and the drink options are numerous. Seriously expensive but justified, as the service and food were perfect.

Great restaurant, excellent menus, vegan. I would’ve liked to see more zest in food, risotto mushroom and coconut curry and of course their dumplings. The only thing needs improvement is making the entrance accessible.
