Great lookout spot to view the city from above. Decent parking available to stop quick and take a look and snap some nice pics. They have some picnic tables there now which I never saw before so not a bad place to grab a quick bite from the city and take it there to eat quickly with a nice view.

Too crowded. people are always there to take photos of the highest point in montreal! gives a view of the whole city. it is very beautiful during sunset or sunrise. There is also parking in that area doesn’t show up in maps . Small parking right next to mount royal. Maps really doesn’t show this, but when you come from the other side you can see the parking so that u dint need to walk 1.2kms uphill from the main parking point. Its also metered and charged.

Not much to see by foot but different experience by car or bus!

Found by Jacques Cartier in 1535, this place is beautiful during both day and night! After a walk of about 500m you reach to this beautiful lookout where you witness city lights so beautifully at night. Fall is the best season to watch fall colours over the city from here. It’s mesmerising every time we visit here.

Great place to take the whole family. You can spend a couple of hours looking at the view of Montreal. Then you can feed the raccoons...yes, there are so many. They come up to everyone looking for snacks.

Pretty incredible views! If you park and walk a while you should be sure to pay for your parking. We came here after a few days in Montreal and were able to spot many of the places we went before. There are also picnic benches if you want to bring a sandwich or something to enjoy while you are here.

This place is fantastic, you get really nice views of the city, it has a lot to see, recommend to take some sort of transportation to get to the top as is kind of far from the main street and is a very steep hill.

Amazing place to check out if visiting Montreal or nearby! Lots of parking available. Only issue was with the construction happening, it was a little confusing to get to the look out spot. There were signs but there’s a lot of trails so we did wander a bit before getting ourselves on the right track to this point but views were more than worth it!

Cannot beat the views of Montreal offered by the Mount Royal Lookout. Is very easy to get to the top, accessible by public transportation. There’s a visitor center at the top

The best view of the city hands down. You need to drive and pay for parking but you won't be there for more than an hour. You walk up a bit and you'll see the crowd of pepl over by the lookout. It's a place you won't want to miss seeing if your in mtl. Explore the inside and learn sbout some of the history which we did. It's nice because this is one of the few things left that's actually free with no entry fees aside fr9m parking. Enjoy!

I would choose the Chateau lookout instead, if you can only do one, but that requires a bit of a hike, or a lot of stairs! If all you can do is drive or bus, this is right next to a small parking lot, and you get a decent view of the city. Some trees may infringe the view, but it's still an awesome vantage point. Walking? Come up from the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Monument on Park, and you'll get a liesurely 15-min walk up to this point. It's also another quick 5-min hike up some stairs from here and around a bend to get to the Mont Royal Cross higher up. Great for all hiking levels (just be careful when the mount is covered in ice). The pics are at dusk!

Great spot to watch the city change from day to night. Also there are raccoons to feed. Make sure you bring some peanuts. They'll take it right from your hand if you are steady and don't scare them.

Amazing spot! The view is great, and there's quite a bit of parking so it's easy to find a place. There were several groups of people, some smoking, but everyone calm and minding their business. Several families with their young children. Saw 3-4 raccoons, someone was giving them chips and they seemed quite friendly but I wouldn't recommend interacting with them.

Nice spot for a view of the city, if you’re too lazy to walk to the top.

I'm from Alberta, this was a beautiful spot. Lovely views, cool shady areas to relax, lots of walking trails up and down the mountain. Very busy, had to wait a few minutes to get a spot along the ledge for a couple photos. Restrooms were close by and water fountains throughout the area. The was a spot to grab a snack. A lovely experience. No fee to get in.

The Belvédère Camilien-Houde is an absolute gem for those seeking a rejuvenating morning getaway. Visiting on a Saturday, I was pleasantly surprised to find an abundance of parking spaces, making my experience hassle-free from the start. As I stepped out of my car, the crisp morning air gently caressed my face, instantly invigorating my senses. The breathtaking view from the belvedere is simply awe-inspiring, offering a panoramic vista that soothes the soul. The peaceful ambiance, coupled with the refreshing breeze, provided the perfect backdrop for a serene start to my day. Highly recommended for a tranquil escape in nature.

I couldn't see much of Montreal from here with bare eyes. I don't think this is a good place for the lookout of Montreal skyline.

An alternative quiet spot to view Montreal’s skyline! Limited pay parking spots are available.

  • 4/5 Stephane J. 1 year ago on Google
They've beautified with many flowers. The view is still amazing on this beautiful day. If you plan to stay a while, there's paid parking. Believe it or not.

This is a strategic place to rest after a good walk or just to view and appreciate Montreal’s edifices.

The view was fabulous. I am sure it will look much more prettier in summers. I have already put it on my summer bucket list.📍

Beautiful spot to look out over the city. Go in an off time as parking is limited. Worth the stop!

  • 4/5 S L. 7 months ago on Google
Kondiaronk Belvedere had much better view. It is not too bad, but I would recommend you to go Kondiaronk Belvedere if you need to choose one of them. Also, it is the stop for the Hop on hop off bus.

This is definitely a Montreal staple. It's a extremely nice place to go for a walk. You can either walk around in loops to get to the top or if you want a shorter trip you can cut directly through and take the stairs. Regardless it's a nice experience and you get a very nice view at the lookout

  • 5/5 TRu 6. 7 months ago on Google
It's a nice hill side drive and once you arrive at the view point you can park your car and walk out to a beautiful view. Take pictures enjoy some selfies, feed some raccoons pretty much relax of course. Great area for bicycle riding seen many riders as well.

Amazing views!!! Free lookout point near the highest point of Mount Royal. Easy to get to by car, bike, scooter or on foot.

  • 5/5 Lena T. 2 years ago on Google
Great spot in the city, can get there by car, bike or just walking.

  • 4/5 Laura 2 years ago on Google
This lookout is right off the main road when driving. Quite underwhelming to be honest. I’ve heard the Mount Royal observatory provides the best view but unfortunately it was closed for construction this week. Overall a decent stop if you have time on your hands. If you’re pressed for time, would suggest skipping this or heading to the observatory when it’s open.

  • 5/5 Zoey Z. 2 years ago on Google
The elevation is not high but you still got to see the city. Definitely worth going.

  • 5/5 Andy L. 2 years ago on Google
Another beautiful lookout in Mont-Royal, although not as well known than Kondiaronk Belvedere, mainly because the former doesn't show Downtown Montreal with lots of skyscrapers. Still, it offers the view of the city at the Northeast of Mont-Royal, including the Olympic Stadium. Also, it's conveniently located near the STM 11 bus network along the parking very close to the lookout. If you want to start looking the views of the city from the Belvederes, it is best to save this one the last because of the ascending stairs nearby which can be inconvenient for the less stamina crowd.

  • 5/5 Ojan K. 2 years ago on Google
Great if you want to park and enjoy the views rather than take the hike up to the top of the mountain. This lookout faces the East of the city. You can catch the West side from the lookout at Kondiaronk Belvédère

Beautiful view of the city from top. Its pay and Park but worth every dollar!

  • 5/5 Sumedha M. 2 years ago on Google
There are various lookouts, but this one is my personal favourite. I believe you see the best part from here. You can hike there with your friends..it doesn't take too long to get there. Also, it can a bit crowded on some days. Montreal is a beautiful city and this place showed me that.

  • 5/5 Milad M. 2 years ago on Google
Would have been better if it wasn’t too damned crowded all the time. There’s literally no free parking spot whenever you go there. Great view tho!

  • 5/5 Francina A. 2 years ago on Google
The best lookout point to catch a full panoramic view of the city of Montreal with the downtown skyline in beautiful array.

  • 4/5 darius s. 1 year ago on Google
Nice viewpoint and impressive views although the one to the central city part is more impressive.

  • 4/5 Sharon C. 1 year ago on Google
Pretty beautiful lookout. It is accessible via public transport, but the bus frequency is not high. We saw raccoons at night, some people were feeding them. However the raccoons made loud grunts which seemed a bit aggressive, hence I would stay away from feeding them. You can walk to the Mt Royale cross and the other lookout. I did it in the day as it didn’t seem well-lit at night and I didn’t have additional light.

Beautiful view on the city, I recommend it at night but beware of the raccoons! There are lots of them and some people feed them. There are a fair number of parking spots and a few picnic tables. Cute way to end a date.
