Voiles en Voiles A Review by Hassan Hawash A Great Parkour Adventure! I was at a loose end looking to fill in a block of time on the Saturday afternoon before the Hab’s game later that evening when I came across Voiles en Voiles. I had been doing a search for fun kid’s activities and the search kept coming back to Voiles en Voiles and what a find it was! The Voiles en Voiles website provides all sorts of options for a fun outing especially for high octane energy kids who enjoy exerting themselves. The more I envisioned this activity the more I was sold on chancing it. I can assure you my ten-year-old could hardly get enough. Even after four hours, he wanted to do more. There are various options one can choose from but knowing my son I thought it was a pretty good gamble to go for four. My lil fella could not get enough. At first he was a little tentative, a little apprehensive, but as the afternoon progressed and as his confidence grew so did his willingness to challenge at the higher levels. This parkour course, spread across two pirate ships, has five levels starting off for those who are faint at heart progressing to those who are ready for heart palpitating adventure on tight ropes. To be sure, all safety is taken into account as each participant is outfitted with a secure contraption with an attachment to a pulley. Before starting out there is an attendant who informs the participants as to how the flow of the activity should take place and takes the time to make sure everyone is securely fitted with their safety device. There are attendants at each of the stations who are ready to give a little guidance as well. For starters, there is a real beginner level where one hardly rises beyond the surface which could be likened to putting your toes in the water at the lake. Then, once you feel you are ready for some adventure you could take it to the next level where most first-time kids and adults start. There you find yourself letting yourself swoosh from a sitting position across to a station some twenty feet away. As my son gained confidence and his enthusiasm became more charged, he would move up to the more intense challenging levels. I marveled at how well he managed as he would stumble and fall but get right back up again with minimal support from the structure walking along the tight rope at the double black diamond level, the most demanding of all. The experience was unique in that it was not in an indoor setting where we have done something kind of similar at Adventure HQ in the Emirates and also different from setting nestled in amongst trees. We loved the setting in Old Montreal with easy access to all sorts of nearby restaurants close by. No doubt the next time we are in Montreal we will be sure to pay Voiles en Voiles a visit.

Really cool elevated obstacle course for people of any age and kids especially. Right by the waterfront in Old Montreal is a great way to spend some time and have some different type of fun.

We went for a boat cruise in Montreal and then we passed by this. My 5 years old daughter was so happy to see this as she was bored just doing sightseeing with us. She has a great time there especially at the bouncy castle with water! She also loved the 4d cinema and the merry-go-round. She told me she loved Montreal because of Voiles en Voiles and wants to come back soon!

The variety and diversity of obstacles is great! Goes beyond traditional tree-topping experiences with the uniqueness of the pirate ship. And then there's the view from atop. The added bonus us, not looking at forest and trees but thrilling view of Montreal and the old port. Also some bouncy castle stuff for the kids which they seemed to love!

Looks like a very fun place. We will have to come back here again, as there isn't much going on here in Oct 2023.

Lots of fun and challenging for even experienced climbers. Fair price for amount of time you get (2 hrs apprx). Wait times on easier climbs were a little long but kids had a great time. Some cool views from high up.

Wow, after coming to this place regularly with my three kids and nephew, I have to say that the service here is outstanding and the employees actively look for satisfaction in the clientele. The courses were engaging and I had loads of fun challenging myself to the various obstacles. Although, there was one rude man who seemed to be the manager or supervisor who was condescending towards the employees. They definetly deserve to be treated better given the conditions of their job and the difficulty of managing a mostly touristic demographic. All in all, fantastic idea for an outing!

I didn't actually try this out myself however I took some kids here and they thoroughly enjoyed it. It really looks like so much fun and there sure is a lot of excitement and thrill doing this obstacle course. Worth every penny.

AMAZING!!! We (3 adults) had the best time in the aerial park, starting in the easy loops and then making our way to the most difficult (double diamond) one. The challenges are well designed and intertwined, safe yet quite taxing physically at the higher levels. Clearly made by people who know what they're doing! Special mention also to the employees who are super friendly and helpful without ever getting in the way of what is essentially a giant playground. With kids or not this is an awesome attraction which brings a huge dose of FUN to the old port! Highly recommended and 100% worth the price. Thanks guys!

Very fun ropes course for families, varying difficulties for each course. Priced fairly. Would recommend going on a not-so-windy day.

Excellent place for kids and family. I don’t have any expectation at the beginning, but it surprise me because it’s quite challenging if you fear of height, but they have 3 different level. Easily spend 2-3 hours here.

Hands down the best part of our annual trip to Montreal with our family and friends. So many rope course to explore, archery and bouncy castles. Something for everyone!

For the kids, this was a highlight of our trip to Montreal. From a parent's perspective though, I can tell you not to worry about the full pass- the aerial ropes course is the only part that's worth it. The bouncy castles are pretty raggedy, and the staff at the other attractions were super uninterested. Even at the ropes course, my kids were often stuck for several minutes because they couldn't get anyone's attention to come and unhook them. We would definitely go back, but just for the ropes course. That really was a ton of fun, and felt safe and well maintained.

There are 5 levels for the rope zone : red, green, blue, black and double black. We were only brave enough to try green and blue. Even though many kids were having fun there, the blue level is definitely challenging for even adults. We had so much fun there.

We had a great time at Voiles en Voiles despite it being an overcast and slightly rainy day. The highest level of the ropes was too difficult for the 8 & 6 year old we were with so it would be good if there was an option to pay for the lower course only. All the staff at the ropes course were very helpful but the staff at the front where you buy tickets didn't seem to know anything. The kids really enjoyed the bouncy castles too.

Bouncy houses and low ropes course were great for my kids. Challenging and fun high ropes, but long waits happened as kids got scared/stuck. Staff were quick to help.

This was a great activity, harder than it looks but very good for kids self confidence. The only recommendation I would have is to have a minimum height for some of the harder parkour. My kid was physically too small for the last one and it too challenging.

Brought our 4 kids, aged 11 to 20. They all loved it. It’s not easy to find activities to please the various ages, but this one was a great success. My son (18) actually felt like he was on survivor ;)

Really nice spot for visiting. In winter ice skating here is really good. 10 dollar for adults and family price was attractive too!!!

So much fun here! Bouncy castles, ropes courses of varying difficulty, escape rooms, movies, zipline, and even a mini splash toy for kids to cool off. One of our guides didn't quite... know how to explain anything (maybe it was his first day?) but the others were great.

Really great experience with my daughter. We both enjoyed the workout and the thrills. Staff is very helpful and friendly and pre-ordering the tickets was a good idea. The kids fare is a bit expensive though as they pay the same amount as adults once they are over 5yrs old.

  • 1/5 Adam D. 7 months ago on Google
Overpriced and made us wait in line after line and that is BEFORE we even started our paid experience. The signage is missing and a very confusing process to sign a waiver online which is not even checked by their on-site team. Bad management and bad business operations, waited over 1hr + in the hot sun listening to everyone complain in many languages. This picture is after we all paid and waited in a line and BEFORE any safety measures. Plus is the ropes course was cool, the staff lets unqualified young children of 4 years old onto advanced courses which slows everything down leading to… more lines on the course speaking to how overpriced and mismanaged this is. Nice views of Montreal while waiting high up in the hot sun for the parents to balance bc and carry their little children off the black diamond and blue square courses. Ever he’s of height requirements? I won’t go back earlier for shorter lines, it was a hot mess.

The kids loved this place. We found it overall very safe however the staff were not very helpful. Reminder to bring closed toed shoes, runners would be best. We weren’t planning to come but decided to last minute so my son only had flip flops. We were assured the staff would duct tape his sandals on for us however they had run out of tape so the whole time he struggled with his shoes.

We saw this place from the Ferris wheel! Looked so interesting from far, with the gigantic bouncy castle (it’s actually a bouncy notre-dame plus other things). There is also a ship with the “air park”. The guy at the entrance explained for a 5 year old, we can either get a 1-hour ground play with bouncy castle and carousel or 2-hours air park. I remember each of them costed about $20 something canadian dollars. We chose the ground play and our kid really enjoyed it. The only thing is that there is not much space for the adults to sit/rest. There is a drink/bar area but if we didn’t wanna get a drink we also don’t feel like going there. There is a water-refill station near the washroom - in case your kid needs to have some water after all the exercise.

Very cool! My boys had a blast and did not even want a snack break for the 4 hrs we were there. They loved the aerial space the most. At 5 years of age, they were able to do the Green level and some blue level ones. Lots of interesting courses. Challenging even for the adults. I would've loved a snack bar inside the aerial area. My main qualms were some of the staff. They are young and distracted. It actually started upon check-in when one staff member had to remind two other staff members to stick by another customer while they were checking in, to which they replied, but they're just filling out a form (they were standing far across and just chatting away to each other). Once inside, on the aerial course my son was stuck for quite a while on a challenging part of a course, and I kept looking down at the helpers, and they were too busy chatting away on the ship (not close by) to notice what was going on up above and help. Another time, staff was too busy chatting to receive/notice the incoming kids coming in via zipline at the end of the course. They're supposed to wait one at a time and the staff member didn't notice that a couple had come in and were waiting to be unclipped. Also, the staff at the archery station weren't making sure kids were walking behind and NOT in front of those playing. I had to actually step in and guide the kids. At some point later in the evening, the staff were even shooting the arrows across into the cafe sitting area, completely outside of the archery area. They stopped as my boys and I walked by, and then resumed their "game" after we passed. My boys spent some time at the jumpy castle area, and again, they had to go up and interrupt a group of 4-6 staff members who were too busy chatting amongst themselves in order to ask them what the protocol was/where to go/if they could join, etc... That being said, Tokyo was a stellar staff member. He really helped out my boys during tricky courses and double-checked harnesses, etc. He knew what he was doing and he was very involved. Great space and we all had a great time, but again, the staff is young and lack that awareness of customers.

The boys (8&11) loved this place. I enjoyed it too, but I don’t have their endless energy. Hours of fun

Ground Park Package for small kids was good. The $21 ticket is valid for one hour of play which was enough for 7 and 4 year olds. Adults didn’t need to pay admission. The kid enjoyed he bouncy castles and the carousel. The castles are either wet by design or made wet by kids using mix of wet and dry castles. The kids ended up totally wet from falling and splashing in the castle area. It was not a problem since happened on hot sunny day. The carousel is small and slow bit have horses and a rotating table which was fun. We didn’t try the archery or the movie that was included since kids would have been interested and considering it is only on hour of play. The ground is covered with wood chops which isn’t great as kids were nit allowed shoes in the castles and socks would end up wet. Overall it was good value.

Well organized, clean. You could easily spend the whole day there (pack a picnic or take advantage of the food trucks just outside in the Old Port). We went with a 3 year old and a 5 year old, and they had a great time! The inflatables and carousel are nice for the younger kids, There is also a small 3D cinema, a mini archery range, and a rock climbing wall.

This place was a mixed bag. The product was actually pretty amazing. I can only speak for the ropes courses, but there was variety in difficulty and height of the obstacles and the harness system was good. The poor staff was terrible. To be fair, they are kids; it's not their fault, they have nobody managing them. There were groups of 5 or 6 of them chilling and hanging out all over the place socializing and living their best life getting paid for not helping customers. I could pick out the 4 or 5 teens working hard, and there definitely were a few, by their faces easily. So impressed by them going against the momentum in that environment. Whoever owns this should consider downsizing the # of ppl on shift by about 60% and just get a good manager. Having employees who weren't working lead to a variety of problems that would have easily been prevented but I won't bother getting into those. (If the lady with the dark curly hair was the manager on duty? ... that does explain everything!)

This experience was very rewarding and also very tough! We had a blast! I would reccomend bringing gloves if they'll allow it. I did the toughest course on the ship and my hands were pretty abused toward the end.

  • 5/5 Kelly M. 10 months ago on Google
We had a great day here. I thought 4 hours would feel long, but we used every minute and it was worth it. The staff was helpful and nice. All the courses were fun for different ages. My kids enjoyed the ropes course so much we didn’t have time for much else. Definitely recommend this place for kids and adults alike!

  • 3/5 Michelle G. 1 year ago on Google
My kids have done a couple of these courses before and were excited to try this one, but it wasn't their favorite unfortunately. Some of the obstacles didn't seem to be well designed and their hands hurt after a while without gloves, which are usually offered.

  • 2/5 Brad D. 1 year ago on Google
Not worth it. Concession stands are all closed and boarded up with plywood. Garbage and wasps everywhere. One bouncy castle uses water, kids run from that castle to the others, the problem is the dirt and wood chips between the castles stick to the kids and turn the floor of the other castles into dirty muddy floors. Family of three wanted to do the escape room, everyone we asked said the escape rooms weren't their remit and we had to speak to the carousel workers. Carousel workers told us the escape rooms were closed, turns out they weren't. After trying for an hour we finally got in, no rules or instructions given, the door opened 6 minutes later by an employee to tell us times up and we had to leave (note, nobody was waiting in line to enter). 2 stars go to the one nice employee who worked hard to find someone to let us in the escape room.

We visited on Saturday morning, and spent about 4 hours there. We had an amazing time and the kids loved it. The double black diamond courses were very challenging, but not impossible. The blue and green courses were appropriate in their challenge. The course was clean and the staff were friendly. They took COVID very seriously, and everyone had a mask on and there was lots of hand sanitizer available. The park was spacious, and it was nice to have a dedicated picnic table for just our family to use. The lockers were a little small, so don't plan on locking too much up. It was full after putting in a small bag. We used the 6D theater, and the show was OK. But I would never have paid $8 for the ride. We did the archery, as a single;but we were told the tag archery was closed. We were very disappointed in that. All in All it's a great way to spend the afternoon.

A family sanctuary where kids can burn energy at the bouncy castles or get their adrenaline rush at the pirate ship climbing! Combine with a stroll in the old Port and you a have an in-town getaway

  • 5/5 Suzanne G. 2 years ago on Google
Went for the two hour climbing experience, and let me tell you that was the perfect amount of time. It is a great workout and I couldn’t have gone any longer - my arms had turned to noodles by the end. It is a fun and challenging activity for an adult, so absolutely don’t think of it as a kids only activity. Good range of heights and difficulty levels. Once in a while had to wait on staff to hook/unhook you, but overall ran smooth. Would be nice if they had a water fountain - there was a jug to refill your water bottle from (which was absolutely appreciated) but it was pretty warm water. Would definitely go back!

  • 5/5 Gillian M. 2 years ago on Google
This place is awesome! So much fun and so many activities. Obviously the aerial park is the main reason for going but when you need a rest from climbing there’s plenty of things to do with 2 feet on solid ground; archery, 3D movie experience, bouncy castles, escape room etc. We were allotted 4 hours which was generous and we didn’t feel rushed. The only suggestion I have is to find ways to provide more shady areas to sit. Luckily we went in September because I think I would have melted in July! Haha

This was a wonderful adventure for our 6 and 9 year olds and honestly even me as an adult. The structures are really cool and the park offers some decent challenges with amazing views!!! The staff are also very nice 😀

Fun time. Friendly and helpful staff. The rope courses are awesome and the bouncy castles large. Very cool high slide. Simple online purchase of tickets and easy process on arrival, just had to give our name. Downsides: Carousel was broken and I was sent back and forth between the snack stands because either the drink machine or the card machine was down at one or the other. Fun day overall. Would go back.
