👍 Went there for the feux follets. Traffic is a nightmare on weekends, I ended driving home and took the metro next day. The Lights show is great but unfortunately for those who are not familiar with Chinese culture there is not enough introduction to explain the culture elements behind each lantern.

It's really beautiful on the sunset and night, I strongly recommend to go at that time because the park is literally empty and you will enjoy a romantic walk. I don't give 5 stars because there is a lack of maintenance on most of the art structures, lights and art so it become evident the invasion of insects, but in general the park is really good. Advise, take a bottle of wine and enjoy the sightseeing of old port from Montreal since the sculpture "Trois disques(L'homme)".

This review is specifically about the event Feux Follets 2019 ( September 23 to October 31) hosted at the brand new Espace 67 located at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Sadly it is a nice attempt that went wrong since the beginning. During the first week there were organization problems too visible to the few visitors: sound problems, poor signalization, changes on the program venues without warnings, artistic performances with no English or French introduction or explanation. On the particular day I attended, the drones show was highly expected and never presented. It seems that it was only presented the first Friday: the logo and description for the drone show were removed from the official website and a three days closure of the whole event for "technical issues" was publicly announced. When I requested information to the employees, I received two different versions of the reason why there where no drones in the air as scheduled. The prices of the admission tickets are really high and there is no real return of your investment unless you were there - as me- just to take nice pictures. Limited food offer and only cash is accepted. Zero presence of information. Not even one lantern had a description. Really a shame. At least the Chinese visitors were happy and my pictures are great.

Amazing place for a festival. Gorgeous back drop of MTL harbour, plenty of space, great connection to the city. I'd avoid coming here with a car, it's really not necessary and really more a headache. Metro every few minutes to Berry Uquam, metro stop in the middle of the park. We came here for Lasso Country Music festival and it was amazing.

Horrible, grey concrete everywhere. There's no green areas. They put a nasty grey dust as well in order to fake a chill place. Do not bring your fancy shoes or your expensive runners or they get dirty with that. It looks like a cheap jail.

The event could have been organized better FeuxFolletts. But the space was great.

Renting equipment is expensive. Not all equipment are available, for example some slides. Maybe I missed the correct place to rent.

The craftsmanship of the lanterns is exquisite, the performances are gorgeous and wonderful, fully demonstrating the beauty of Chinese traditional culture.
