Bring your money to park your car. They want you to pay $20 to have a walk in this ordinary park. I called the administration and asked why they put fees to have us enjoy a few relaxing moments after a week of work. Well, the smart brains at the office said they consider the park a touristic attraction. It has nothing to do with any touristic attraction, it's a simple park. I pay if I park at the pool, I pay if I park at the beach, I pay if I park to see the Gilles Villeneuve track. All these are already tremendously expensive, thank you. The average income in Montreal is 40K but you are not aware because white collars make 2x or even 3x that amount on our taxes! I DON'T WANT to pay to have a walk in my park.

Jean Drapeau is one of the best park in Montreal... especially if you want serene peace and some amazing views of skyline of downtown Montreal, this is the place. Both in the day and night, it looks magical. Watching the sun set behind the skyline on a bright , clear day is one of the best thing you can do. In the evening the whole city looks so illuminated and its the best view of Montreal. It has a lot of fun things to do, sledging, ice skating, and a lot of other summer activities too. The ice skating rink is also one of the best in Montreal. It has these lights that make it look so amazing in night time, i would recommend you visiting here once in Winter e evening and do ice skating. You'll no regret.

Expensive Parking $8/hr $14 for 2 hrs That is insane. Lack of signage, noise from the construction/renovations. Easy to get lost. Not worth it. I get more by walking to the Mont Royal & sit by the pond for free than pay $15 to sit in a bench facing the Saint Lawrence river. It was relaxing thought to sit on the wooden chairs It is therapeutic to listen to the water movement.

Huge park. lots of activities to do. parking is paid. $12/2hr and $20/day. it would take one full day to visit everything. go on a weekend as most of fun activity happens. check the website before going. one of the pictures is timing for the bistro there is big metro station if you don't want to drive. bus stops as well. easy transit access and more frequency. hiking trails, biosphere museum, la Ronde (fair), casino, garden, bar and patio, kayaking and water activities. lots of things available. please check the website to see if the activities you want to try is available on the particular day of your visit.

Very good park In the middle of the island close to the Formule 1 circuit As most places in Canada full of wildlife It's so nice to see beautiful squirrel 🐿️ around and listening to the birds Easy arrival by the yellow metro line

It's such a beautiful place. There's so much to see. The flowers are beautiful. There's also this enormous blue chair that's really cool. I simply went there to enjoy the clamness of the afternoon and had no idea a that the Biosphere Museum was near by. I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely enjoyed going there and intend to go back soon.

It is very beautiful and peaceful place. Situated on island. There is no entry fee free to enter. To enter inside biosphere there is entry fee. Very clean and neat park. Friendly staff. Best place to spend whole day. There is paid parking with lot of timing options. Fully photogenic place.

It's a big and beautiful park. Nice both during the day and night 🌉 only thing is worth mentioning is the parking fees. It's 8 bucks for an hour, which was quite expensive. So better take the metro which has station just inside of the park.

I visited the park primarily to swim at the Aquatic Complex and to see the Biosphere and its environment museum. There are trails, among trees, with access to the old fort. (Feb. 2021, "after 66 years of operation, the museum permanently closed. Unable to survive financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic, its collection will be relocated and merged with the McCord museum in downtown Montreal. The Fort itself is closed to the public since February 2021."--Wikipedia) For a place that attracts tourists, I was surprised that the signage was unilingual French.

One of the most beautiful park located in the heart of the city. Easily accessible via metro and bus routes. There are several cool activities during the summer as well as in winter for everyone. Huge picnic area with tables. Cityscape also looks great from there and amazing place for the nature walk and photography.

Beautiful island Lots of fun activities to do Wanna go for a small hike somewhere near Montreal downtown? This is the place The whole area is kept very clean. Biosphere also remains the attraction Or just go sit on the benches around the place and enjoy the view There are also boat rides available to go cruising around the island Train reaches straight in front of biosphere or if you're taking your own vehicle, the parking is very well managed I did not get to do it, but I'd suggest cycling to this place as it allows you to enjoy the beautiful view

Seriously loved this park! It was on the other side of Montréal so the drive on the bridge was fun. We visited in the fall but it seems like there’s a lot more to do in the summer but it was still worth the visit !

This is a very nice park. It's cool to go visit in the summer, nice place to walk around. It's even better when there's festivals. I've been to lots of events here, my favorite being Heavy MTL. Saw so many good bands. Can't wait for everything to be back to normal again !

This is a must visit place while in Montreal. Bring a picnic and your swimsuit and stay all day or spend a quick hour. But definitely make this a stop on your trip. Rent bikes on the island and ride around Gilles Villeneuve racetrack. And a beautiful way to see the old port of Montreal. Hidden gem and must see!

A very big and beautiful park with great views of the city and harbour. They've been making many renovations to update the park's infrastructure, buildings, and landscape features. I definitely recommend coming here during the weekdays when it's quiet to explore the many trails and gardens.

Great place to walk or chill to relax! Many activities there like electronic piknik 48$ fee entrance or aquatic complex 6.5$ for 1h30. You can just walk in around contemplate the biospehere and discover the nature with some copybara, kind of big marmots. You can also go some historical monuments like the ardenal where you could have a wonderful view of MTL and Jacques Cartier Bridge.

Jean drapeau park is a beautiful and accessible place for everyone to enjoy. There are lots of areas for picnics, a park, lots of trees and shade. As well it is accessible from the metro, by bus, by car (jacques Cartier bridge) or by water. La Ronde theme park is also located there as well as the large Jean Drapeau Pool and the Biosphere museum. There are also many festivals hosted on the island throughout the summer (Osheaga music festival, eurkea science festival, picnic Electronik to name a few). Public transport is highly recommended to access the island and it's stunning views of the city of Montreal and st Lawrence river. Parking is limited and costly. A beautiful place to visit however right between the south shore and island of Montreal.

Easy transport from old port to this island every one hour and also to langueuil. And an under water metro station which takes you to berri UQAM fast and easy. The park itself is aesthetic and colourful designed by flowers. You can have a view of saint laurant, the round, habitat 67... They have provided scouter and bikes for the confort of visitors. There you can see some monument there like the biosphere. Highly recommended to go and enjoy your time there😊.

A beautiful park facing Montreal downtown, there are a lot of activities and concerts there , a beach , beautiful bike route and a big nice park. If you go there , take the metro, it's one station from Berri UQAM and the station is the park, if you are an absolute car person there is a parking too but make sure there is no event. The park is in an island, the St Helen's Island hence a beautiful view from both sides of the park, you have at least to enjoy the view of downtown Nice stop to enjoy a relaxing day, very easy access, no fees to access the park, take your bike if you're a biker. There are some food places but I would take some food with me if needed to prevent limited choice I recommend this stop

This island is practically behind the Jaccues Cartier Pier. You need to cross the green bridge which you can see from the JC Pier. Parking is not an issue at the island - pay and park for time spent. Basically it is there to view the river , Jaccues Cartier Pier and enjoy downtown Montreal. It is really well done with walking trails and a paved pathway. Buses and I believe the subway connect from main Montreal. Perfect spot to spend the day or afternoon. Entry is free and you can roam around. They also have a large swimming pool but you need to book in advance. The rates are really good I thought.

Absolutely terrible service by every employee I interacted with. I tried 4 times to bookan appointment to see Toundra for a wedding. The first time I spoke with a woman named Emilie and she was so rude on the phone. She was snobby and kept trying to NOT give me an appointment to see the venue. Finally I was able to convince her to give me an appointment. Then I had to reschedule it. I called twice, left two messages and never heard back. Then I emailed the venue and got an answer from Simon saying they cannot give me an appointment to come see the place, since they are 'occupied with events for 2016'. How do they expect to book events for 2017 if they don't let anyone visit?? I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this venue, and its employees Emilie and Simon who I dealt with. If anyone is trying to book a wedding with them, I would encourage you to go elsewhere. How helpful will these people be on that magical/stressful day, if at the initial interaction they have an inflated sense of self?

Great place for cross country ski! The intermediate trail is well maintained and is a very good place to start and practice. The smallest trail is kind of destroyed since people walk all over it, but it's also fun. I can't wait to go back and ski on île Notre-Dame.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Montreal Biosphère and the beautiful park surrounding it, and it exceeded all my expectations. This iconic geodesic dome, originally built for Expo 67, is a true marvel of architectural design. Inside the Biosphère, you'll find a fascinating exploration of our planet's ecosystems, climate change, and sustainability. The interactive exhibits are not only educational but also engaging for visitors of all ages. But the magic doesn't stop there. The park itself is a lush, green escape from the urban hustle and bustle. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with stunning views of the Saint Lawrence River and the city skyline. The peaceful ambiance and well-maintained pathways make it a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a serene place to unwind, the Montreal Biosphère and its surrounding park are a must-visit. It's a testament to the city's commitment to environmental awareness and a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with nature and learn about our planet's precious ecosystems.

What more can you say about Parc Jean-Drapeau? I’m quite certain that anyone who has lived in Montreal has been there and knows all about it and what a nice place it is! There’s so much to do that you need multiple visits to do it all! Of course, this includes the entire Saint Helens island. You have festival after festival taking place especially in the summer time. From Osheaga to La Ronde this place has it all! And it’s easily accessible by metro. 👍😎

Had a pleasant bike ride through Parc Jean-Drapeau on a sunny day in early May 2023. Large multi purpose lush park with many venues, sculptures, commemorative monuments and a well maintained hike and bike trail. A metro station serves the park. Perfect place to spend a day in Montréal.

  • 4/5 Kathy D. 10 months ago on Google
I had some trouble figuring out how to get here with all the construction. The first parking lot I tried did not have a working parking payment station. It was interesting once we got to the biosphere. A short walk on the promenade got us a great view of old Montreal and St. Lawrence River. More research will be required to make better use of the park next time!!

A lovely and lively place to be for the city's most exciting events. Just the weekend we were there, there was a eureka festival and an edm festival the day before. The biking in the grand prix circuit was also fun and surreal for my husband who is a fan. It's ideal if you can bike around since the park is huge. Easy access from metros too.

I just liked that it was a big park right on the water and it's basically free except for the parking. It should be free if you take the subway there. The Fort was super cool, it's a shame that the Stewart Museum had to close. I hope they do something with that place it's beautiful!

Visited the biosphere. The structure itself is cool but the exhibits inside are nothing special. They might be interesting for kids however. The too floor of the biosphere features a cool longue area where you can get a 360° view of the sphere in a quiet and minimalist room with a few couches. Not worth paying $22 in my opinion.

Visited recently to experience the Rammstein stadium tour. Entry took no more than 15 minutes. Huge space for well over 40,000 people. Parking was limited but if it's full, you can easily park off the island and take the metro. The cityscape as a backdrop was beautiful.
