We
were
one
of
the
first
guests
to
check
in
so
the
inn
keeper
was
kind
enough
to
give
us
a
pick
of
the
room.
Unfortunately
the
room
that
we
chose
ended
up
having
a
clogged
toilet
but
we
were
swiftly
assigned
another
room,
which
was
appreciated.
The
inn
keeper
was
also
super
helpful
when
we
checked
in,
giving
us
restaurant
recommendations
outside
of
the
restaurant
on
site.
(The
restaurant
doesn't
serve
alcohol
but
they
allow
BYOB.)
Marieville
is
a
sleepy
town
so
food
options
are
not
plentiful,
but
we
were
encouraged
to
order
food
to
the
inn
or
bring
take
out
back
to
our
rooms
if
we
desired.
Communal
areas
are
cozy
(if
a
bit
dark).
Coffee/tea,
water,
etc.
was
readily
available.
There
was
also
a
(communal)
fridge
for
guest
use.
The
inn
is
only
really
walking
distance
to
a
few
fast
food
restaurants,
but
it
surrounded
by
a
lot
of
green
space.
Although
the
rooms
were
clean
and
had
a
cute
"lodgy"
vibe,
the
exterior
of
the
inn
was
run
down
and
in
a
state
of
disarray.
Breakfast
is
included
and
served
in
the
onsite
restaurant,
which
was
dark
and
in
need
of
updating.
We
left
a
tip
on
the
table
for
the
service
but
were
accosted
on
our
way
out
by
our
server
who
asked
for
a
tip
(he
either
didn't
see
the
tip
on
the
table
or
just
assumed
we
were
walking
out
on
him).
The
room
provides
an
envelope
for
house
keeping
and
breakfast
but
perhaps
the
tips
aren't
getting
distributed.
