I walked into the shop stunned by the amount of pastries. They all looked amazing so it was hard to choose. I tried several because I got some to take away as well. I will definitely be back !

Never seen such class! They pack take away coffee and food in such classy, royal way and every detail is perfect, from the bag,to box, spoons, their logo on all of them... Most delicious pastries and cakes,so rare to taste. Service fast, kind, clean. Inside, royal atmosphere, clean, old school class,a pleasure to sit and enjoy. Whoever owns this place is a true Lady and/or Gentelman.

Simply the best Pastry in Cascais. It's already a tradition for me coming to Garrett my grandmother used to bring me here probly since I was born and now I bring my kids. Great selection of sweets and cookies and of course cakes and very well decorated.

The worst experience ever. I had my child’s baptism and all the order went wrong. They did different color and different amount of things and the cake was nothing like I ordered additional to that i reached out to them and no one even contacted me or apologized. I used to order all my cakes from thr shop and always used to face a little missing detail but at the baptism i made sure the order was clear and talked with the manager i believe her mame was Anna, but nevertheless all the order was wrong and the women who gave the order to my husband didn’t speak english (or she pretended) and we couldn’t talk to anyone and of course I couldn’t do anything but to take the order as it is because it was my child’s baptism. Garrett you are the worst :)

This place continues to survive barely because of its name. The service is awful. The food is expensive for small portions that are presented in a very poor manner and not great cooking (why ask what point I want my steak if you over cook it anyway?!) As for the desserts - dry, heavy, and again, nothing special at all. Don't waste your time or money!

This place came highly recommended by our Bnb. Looks quite classy and exclusive from the outside. Couldn’t have been more wrong. Horrific, rude and SLOW service. Bad coffee. Food okish. Overcharged. The bakery section however was very nice. Little pricey but good fresh selection for a takeaway.

This is the go-to for cafe society in this area. Many of the waiters have been here more than 20 years. There are many choices of lunches, snacks, drinks- including exotic teas and juices - and enough to suit your fancy…

We went for dessert and coffee only, as it's a pastelaria, so I can't comment on the quality of other food. We were very disappointed with the desserts that were dry and seemed to come from the supermarket. The bathroom was a whole new experience. In 30 years, I've never seen myself sitting on the throne with mirrors on every possible surface. What an experience! Oh, and wait staff was not very nice also.

We ate there on a Saturday morning. The restaurant portion is white tablecloths and cushioned seats, but unfortunately the food we got did not taste or feel fresh. It felt a little like as tourists, being treated as second class customers.

(Translated by Google) Great environment. Varied and quality pastries. About the meals / dishes, I have no references, I just tried the hamburger and I wouldn't order it again, it could be much better especially considering the exaggerated price. (Original) Óptimo ambiente. Pastelaria variada e de qualidade. A must for those that like the classic portuguese coffee shop and for those who like to have breakfast in style. Excellent service, excellent food, from savory to sweets... you chose, they bring. We love to come here often. They serve lunch too.

It's always a pleasure coming here. Their service is lovely and the view out the cafe's windows is a short distance from the beach walkway. So, if you'd like to take your pastry on the go and eat it with a view you certainly may.

Got my cake order wrong even with photos, so I had to wait 30 minutes for it to be fixed. Two hours later the cake started leaking a pool of water which dripped onto the floor. I was told to return it, but that was impossible as my party started in 1 hour. 50€ for a small cake soaked in a sugar syrup which was too sweet. It’s a shame because the cakes here used to be so delicious with great customer service.

We had a lovely relaxing respite at Garrett. A pot of tea, some pastries, read the paper and enjoyed both the sea breeze and the AC.

Since breakfast at our hotel wasn't exactly great, we went here a couple of times to supplement and I must admit that the impressions were inconsistent. The first time everything was absolutely delicious, the egg benedict was cooked perfectly, the pancakes were puffy and flavorful, all was great. But the other couple of times it just wasn't the same, we got overcooked eggs and the pretty red bagel was pretty dry and had barely any flavor to it.

We were recommended to visit Garrett by friends who've been here previously. We weren't disappointed. Definitely worthy of its excellent reviews. We were staying in Cascais and walked here along the promenade (Takes about 1 hour at a gentle pace). Lots of delicious patisseries available to eat in or take away. The Portuguese tarts were delicious. High quality cafe with traditional atmosphere and great service. If you're in the area go find it.

  • 5/5 Enrique C. 7 months ago on Google
Strolled to this wonderful restaurant, walking the promenade from Cascais. Delicious tuna pâté to start, rice with grouper and shrimp for dinner was fresh and very good but a little lite on seasonings. Fantastic desserts, great service and very pretty locale.

Wow. We were super impressed. A beautiful spot for breakfast. My wife and I shared two different meals, and the chef was generous enough to split and share the meal in the kitchen. Generous portions, tasty and well presented. This cafe gets all my credos!

Great pastelaria, staff grumpy and seems not very interested in guest happiness... a must visit when you're in Estoril!

  • 5/5 John S. 10 months ago on Google
The shop part is to the left hand side, and the rest is a restaurant. We went in looking for pastries originally and got a full meal, before picking up some desserts. Both were excellent. Beef burger was served in a real brioche bun and was cooked perfectly to order. Their pastéis de nata were the best we had in our whole trip.

Went in for some brunch - 5 adults and 2 kids. Got a table straight away. Really nice atmosphere, comfortable seating, and good service. Food was brought out quickly and was very good and not overpriced. Purchased some cakes and biscuits from Patissrie to take away. Recommended.

Had an awful eclair and something that was supposed to be a croissant i guess. So disappointed considering our friends recommended this place. And as a cherry on top the waiter pretty much forced me to leave a tip by asking how much I wanted to charge to my credit card. Yucky! Never coming back.

I’ve been going to this place for years. My family loves going here for lunches or grabbing some baked pastries or cakes for occasions. What made me write this review today on Easter Day is that an employee named Bruno was so respectful and kind to me whilst picking up my order I had to show my appreciation because I didn’t mention it to him.

So glad we only went here the last two days of our one week stay! The pastries and meals are wonderful and the service is good. My waistline would have really increased if we had eaten there every day!

  • 3/5 Yiğit K. 11 months ago on Google
The place is nice, the concept is nice, but there is nothing that will impress you in terms of taste. i was hoping that the croissant would be served hot, but it came cold. even finding a waiter to ask for the bill is a big challange. i don't think i will come again. because there was nothing that impressed me. yes, the place is rooted and has a history, but i'm not sure if they respect it very much :/

The cutest little bakery/coffee shop! Wide selection of proper breakfast & lunch food, but the bakery is adorable. Highly recommend getting the cappuccino and trying some of the cookies. Server was very nice and quickly brought our food out. A little bit pricey, but worth going for the cappuccino and vibes.

Food was ok, service was one of the worst I have ever had. Simply because I am a younger person (24yo) the waiters decided that me and my friend (21yo) were not intitled to the same level of service the other tables were having. Different things happened during this meal... 1.The QR code did not show the full menu, to which the waiter answered: - “that's not my problem, what do you want to eat? – To which we could not answer. - “There is a menu outside check that one.” When we decided what to order, the same waiter answered we don't have any of those things, just the "dishes of the day" - while different tables around us were able to ask for different things. 2. My friend asked for a salad, they brought the wrong one after clarifying what we had ordered over 3 multiple times. 3. I had to ask for a bottle of water again over 3 times, only for it to arrive once I had already finished eating. Same thing with the check, I had to get up to pay after requesting to do it 4 times. The answer I got was that our waiter had gone to eat, and that it was not their fault. 4. I ordered a normal stake, and they brought me their finest cut. I ate it thinking that the stake was good, assuming that it was what I ordered... Once the check came in, they were asking me to pay for their finest cut, ~10€ more expansive than the regular one. When I politely asked the waiter to review the check because that was not what I ordered, he decided to start an unnecessary and passive-aggressive discussion towards me, arguing that even though that was not what I ordered, I ate it, and so I was forced to pay it. The previously mentioned discussion ended with the waiter saying he would take the stake out of the bill, because the problem there was not the stake (insinuating that I, the client that was only politely requesting to pay for what he had ordered, was the problem in this situation). He came back with the bill charging for another completely different stake. Now, I might be young, but I have worked in busier restaurants, with approximately the same target group, and I understand how hard it is to offer proper service. But to insult the client, and to treat the client with such disrespect and indifference is something that I had never seen before. I used to go to this restaurant multiple times, but this was probably the last one.
