It was not a big dish but we also ordered some starters so it was filling for lunch. Of the starters, the cheese and ham plate was huge but ordinary and dry. The Salmon Tartare and Octopus ceviche are decent dishes. The White Asparagus were thin, soft and came in a small portion. Good service and a chill atmosphere.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a while! Super fresh, nice service, restaurant at the seaside! I was sceptical because it’s next to the sea so might be just a touristic trap but it’s actually so good quality tasty food !!

Five star food!! The dish of the day was an incredible medly of texture and taste. The chef is very creative and the flavors are fabulously fancy without overdoing it. Every bite was enjoyed to the limit. Together with the sea view an excellent experience.

My dining experience at La Plage left much to be desired. The octopus carpaccio was disappointingly dry, lacking the succulence expected from such a dish. The coconut rice, though described as an accompaniment, was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of desiccated coconut, rendering it excessively sweet and almost inedible. The hamburger, a classic favorite, arrived lukewarm and overcooked, which greatly detracted from its appeal. While the ambiance and location of La Plage were picturesque, the quality of the food was a letdown, leaving me with an unsatisfied palate and a longing for a more enjoyable culinary experience.

I simply love this place! Fantastic location directly on the beach, great food and very nice ambience. The french owner has recently taken over the upper floor restaurant/terrace - now with new furniture and decoration, with a special mix of jungle-beachstyle. Offering a very good tapas-selection with fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. 100 Percent recommendable!

The waiting staff are lovely and this has so much potential. However, I personally thought the food has the potential to be better. Maybe it was an ‘off day’ these things Happen. My mussels were in too much oil with little flavour. A little bit more flavour in the seasoning of the steaks and seafood and that’s all!

The upcoming opening of a refurbished terrace and an improved menu hint at the potential for better ratings in the future. Had a fabulous lunch here on Sunday. Table for 10 of us (pre booked). Service was excellent our waiter Ruy was so attentive and helpful. The view and atmosphere was perfect. Proper holiday vibes. 😃 I had the Caesar salad which was delicious. Would highly recommend.

I ate brunch there and watched King Charles coronation. Can’t imagine a better place to watch it (other than being in the UK). Lovely environment with a nice ocean breeze and the French toast with ham and eggs were amazing.

Mains were delivered with a few minor errors and about 30 mins between the first plate arriving and the last. Fresh fish was amazing! If these little things could be ironed out then this’ll be a great restaurant - right now only good.

It is a great restaurant if You are after seeafod however they did not have many non-seafood/non-pork options at the time of when we were there. In terms of portion, the meals are huge. We wish they had had a few extra sauces/spices to add to our meals. We were a bit seafood-fatigued after our second day in Portugal although it is a great restaurant after all. We went for two meals which were not typical Portuguese, but as I mentioned, there weren't many non-seafood/non-pork options.

Best Sangria ever! We stopped there for a quick coffee... stayed there for the great beach views... then we tried the white sangria... It was so so good then we ordered a jog of the red sangria which was delicious too. Lots of fruit, great flavours and a little taste of fruity liqueur. This is the best spot on Carcavelos beach. A must try! The French owner is very friendly and welcoming. All staff are also very friendly. The food also looks great but we didn't try it as we were still full from the brunch we had beforehand.
