For be a 4 start is really bad maintain, is ok if is old but, the elevator don’t work, the bathroom had a hole in the floor, the rooms are not super clean. The gym is bad maintain too. The staff is super nice and helpful. The breakfast is ok. Just for the price that you pay and seeing hotels around with 3-2 stairs better maintain and cleaner is better pay less and get more.

An excellent customer service experience all round. Superb location overlooking the ocean & a very short walk to the railway station & buses. Elsa & team at reception were exceptional & nothing was too much trouble ; hope to return soon.

My parents stayed 7 nights at the Vila Gale in Estoril. They're both well over their 70s and neither of them can speak one word of Portuguese or English. Consider also that mum is a particularly picky character. Despite that, they spent a wonderful holiday and most of the credit is due to the 5 people I'm going to mention below. I would not choose the Vila Gale again for the amazing sea view from the fifth floor, nor even for the incredibly vast and delicious buffet you can have at breakfast and dinner. I would choose it again for the warm, welcoming, kind, prepared and hard-working people I will mention in a second. Those guys really know how to treat guests. In particular, I must thank Carla, Ignacio, Marcella and Ivan from the restaurant and Joao at the reception. These smart and amazing professionals have made my parents' staying comfortable and enjoyable. These are not just staff, they're happiness providers which is an invaluable skill that... (and trust me on that) is RARELY seen nowadays. Location and food are easily replicable, true care is unforgettable. So make sure you hold on to them and raise their salary because whatever they get now, they deserve way more. On another note, it would've been great to have a coffee machine in the room. I have seen such a perk in cheaper, less fancy hotels.

I have stayed here several times over that past year and the welcome and friendliness of the staff always amazes me. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The restaurant is fantastic. Whenever I stay in the area, this is my first choice hotel. Its location makes it ideal for exploring. The local bus & train station and taxi rank are 5 mins walk. Massive thank you to all the staff.

The location is just great, very close to the beach, beautiful view of the ocean from the top floor. It takes about 5 minutes by taxi or about a 30 minutes walk (via beautiful beach promenade) to get to the center of Cascais, which is more than reasonable. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and ready to help out. The pool was a very nice bonus as well. However, I did not enjoy the breakfast. The coffee machine made hot cocoa instead of cappuccino (twice, so I know it's not my error) and then broke down on day 3. They had a person to cook eggs (omelette or poached) to order, but it seemed like they forgot to teach the person to actually cook, I feel sorry for them to be honest, they seemed to try their best, but the eggs were undercooked and flavorless. In addition, the rooms felt a bit dated and walls could be a bit thicker. So while some things could use improvement, it's an overall alright place and I enjoyed my stay.

Had a fantastic experience at Vila Gale Estoril, the staff were absolutely lovely and attentive. The only downside is the fact there were no amenities in the room such a tea/coffee or even an iron… for a 4* hotel this would be expected. Breakfast was delicious and it had an extensive variety. Overall me and my boyfriend had a pleasant experience!

This is our first holiday away in 5 years, and after 25 years of marriage our first holiday without the children (happy at home). The staff at Vila Gale could not have been more welcoming and the standard of accommodation and food is second to none. I would recommend a visit - Estoril is wonderful!

Very nice hotel, with clean, cosy rooms, magnificent breakfast and great location, and friendly, helpful receptionists, not far from the beach. And with special regards to INACIO! A brilliant professional, with great contribution to the atmosphere of the place!

Very helpful staff. They brought me fresh gluten free bread rolls each day. I had a painful shoulder, but the amazing Viviane healed it with her wonderful therapeutic massage.

Just don’t understand why we get a double single bed instead of the king size bed i asked for … very unpleasant when we wanted to … love at night because the gap between the mattress is painful… and sleeping together with a gap between the two beds isn’t convenient at all No coffee nor tea in the bedroom, no slippers, no bathrobe… for a 4 stars the equipment are a bit insufficient. Instead lovely place and the room I booked had a stunning view on sea side ! (Get the higher stage you can) The breakfast was great for a Spanish one but I don’t recommend the pancakes. The spa i couldn’t enjoy it because to hard to book for an hour …

Hotel is located perfectly as close to Lisboa and Cascais. Room was big enough, with ocean view. Breakfasts delicious and plenty of choises. The only things which may be potentialy an issue afe very thin walls between rooms and I heard like someone was snoring in other room.

Will go back! Location is amazing (30 min to Lisbonne by train (right in front of hotel), nice 20 min beach walk to Cascais with plenty of restaurants. Spacious rooms (could use redecorarion), nice pool area and fantastic service from all staff. We didn't take "all inclusive", but it's nice to have the option. PS : Pay for ocean view.

The hotel is well located, the staff is very nice and the breakfast is very good. However, the rest was not good due to the poor soundproofing of the room (one of the nights a very unpleasant noise sounded constantly). In addition, one day they did not do the room for us. The worst thing and why we felt cheated is that they leave a bottle of water, apparently complimentary as in other hotels and, without warning or price list, when you leave they charge you for it.
