It was my first Fado show, so i don't have much to compare it to, but it was a nice experience. The musicians were talented, especially the female singer. The food was tasty- I enjoyed the steak and the bacalhau dish. But, it was definitely priced high for tourists. The waitress did forget our order a few times, and it was a surprise to learn the bread and cheese basket was €9. However, some of this could be justified in knowing that you're also seeing a show, supporting local musicians, and a small family business. ** FYI- This place is Cash only

This is an overpriced tourist restaurant. The food was extremely expensive considering the quality served. On the other hand the Fado show was a really good experience, they lit candles that gave the room a cozy atmosphere and the artists were good. I think you have to view this restaurant as a payed visit to a Fado concert, not a place you should expect a good culinary experience. NB: -Minimum €20 charge per customer -Only cash (but ATM is nearby)

This was such a surreal experience. The food come out in multiple course and in-between there is Fado singing was so intimate and personal I remember when I was a young child singing with my grandad. I can’t not recommend more than anything. If you want to remember your life I record here on a Friday . So much passion . I love so much .

The only thing worse than the (overpriced) food and drinks was the service, which is extremely rude and blunt - as you can easily find in other reviews. The one positive thing is that it's one of the cheapest places to see a traditional Fado show while in Alfama.

Authentic place!  Incredibly authentic and delicious food - I put myself in the hands of the place owner, the wonderful chef and presenter Adriano, you will be amazed at how amazing he is in his voice - just pure pleasure.  Thank you friends for your hospitality and generosity.  Highly recommend!  The fado trio - perfect and evening to the ear - bless God's blessing on a wonderful evening!

35 euros for a 3 dish fixed menu. Drinks on the house, as well as coffee. AMAZING FADO EXPERIENCE. They closed the door, turn off the lights and light candles up to give space to the 2 musicians and the singer. 100% suggested

Amazing place, show, food, people, everything! I wanted to see Fado Show, but this was sooo much more than just this. The Menu is 35€, but it includes tasty wine, starters, soup, two dishes, a dessert. The Food is very very delicious and definitely worth the money. I loved the atmosphere, the staff made you feel welcome. The show was absolutely great, what I liked the most, was the fact that basically everyone who works at this place, sang at some point. They brought me to tears with their songs and emotions. I loved everything about this place, I am definitely coming back <3 Obrigada !!!

The codfish was amazing, and the live fado music really adds to the atmosphere. I think it's the best place in Lisbon I have been so far

ncredible experience we had in Tasca do Chico. Food and singers were awesome. This is by far the best Fado dinner we ever had. ABRIGADO!

Great experience, but be advised that this is a multi-course meal and not a drop in situation. Buckle up for a somewhat long evening but you won’t regret it. And kudos to the lovely hostess for accommodating our party’s dietary preferences! Better than the hyper-touristy fados for a similar price, plus lots of food and wine.

We had a very pleasant stay with very good fado. The server was very polite and took very good care of us, even after the show finished and we were the only none locals there. We had a jug of house wine and nothing to eat, so I can’t say anything about that. But when we left they charged us two beers we didn’t have and that kind of ruins the whole evening. We still recommend it for a drink and good Fardo, but check your bill twice.

Amazing Fado (music) with some decent blood sausage and house wine. I spent about £21 on three glasses of wine and an order of blood sausage.

Amazing food. The waiter was very available and kind. We got to listen to Fado in the best way possible next to candle light.

Great Fado show! Very local Portuguese experience and it was very cool that the staff also were part of the singers! Basically at one point they are serving you and then they are the ones singing.

The Fado experience is nice, the musicians are talented. However, we got super disappointed and angry. We ordered our food(some sandwiches, the menu was full of dishes but they did not have almost anything)at 21h. we asked 2 times because it was taking too long and they told us they were preparing it. We got is at 23h, 2 hours later, can you imagine?? It took them 2 hours to put cheese and ham between 2 slices of bread..... And at the end we even got less than what we had ordered. What kind of patience you should have to be okay with that??? Super ma experiência! 🥲

I want more ! This place is getting way better with the new management ! From the service to the food and of course the musicians, I would definitly recommend it if you're looking for a typical Fado experience in the oldest Lisbon neighbourhood

Went to Tasca do Chico for a small dinner with my partner and fell in love with the place. Reasonably priced (comparable to other fancy joints) and very local, with plenty local portuguese people in the restaurant as well. We heard 5 singers in just one night. Loved it so much I came back for my dinner with another 10 people which also loved everything. Simply perfect!
