The secretarial staff simply refuse to speak English. When I call the main number and speak English the woman just hangs up on me. When I call back, she hangs up again. I gave up and went to the hospital and it took me 40 minutes of going from place to place in the hospital to finally find the ultrasound department because nobody would speak English and literally none of the staff knew what the word ultrasound meant! The main receptionist made a line of people wait for her while she had what was clearly a personal phone call. Part of me wonders if they just like messing with English people. The principality should really give mandatory English lessons and tests they need to pass, then regularly audit their behavior. I don't feel safe in this hospital because nobody wants to communicate with me!

Excellent hospital in Monaco. Fast, polite and cheap! I stayed well there.

I went to urgent care with pains related to female health, and should’ve been prescribed a treatment right away for the cause. After one week of identifying the problem with blood tests, which I had experienced previously and told doctors at urgent care, I was given the treatment—only after paying €1,117 to spend a day hospitalized, when I only needed a shot. This is not including urgent care bills, yet to be received. While hospitalized, it took one hour to get the medicine from the pharmacy to the nurse. They claimed I needed to be hospitalized for “monitoring”, which simply didn’t happen. I’d had this medicine given to me in a doctor’s office in the United States, which took 15 minutes. After waiting 30min after the shot with not even a visit from the nurse, I promptly called my husband to take me home. I was very surprised with the low level of treatment at high cost from what should be the most advanced hospital in the French Riviera.

Worst attention ever. I come from a third world country and not even there i’ve seen such unprofessionalism. They made me wait +3hs for a test result that supposedly takes 5 minutes and when I went to claim my result they threatened to CALL THE POLICE because they did not like me telling them that I was in a hurry. Doctor Antonio Mancosu was awfully condescending and rude. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here

After four absolutely shockingly terrible experiences at this hospital, I no longer feel safe going here and now I go to Nice Pastor instead, where they are polite, thorough and everyone speaks English (unlike CHPG). I suggest you do the same. (This goes doubly if you speak anything other than French or are concerned about stroke, neither of which this hospital is equipped to deal with.)

Very bad service. Doctors just don’t care. Typical French obnoxious treatment. I wish I had never donated money I m sure the donations went to something useless. Very sad

The worst hospital in the world!! Donated 1 million dollars here and they won’t even get me an appointment when I want it. The staff here is extremely rude and unprofessional. It’s beyond ridiculous. Don’t go here. They’re just awful. The people that work here are a shame.

Extremely unsatisfactory encounter. The personnel exhibited an alarming level of incompetence, displaying a profound lack of attentiveness and an unwarranted refusal to communicate in English. I committed a substantial sum of 5 million euros to this medical facility, an investment I deeply lament. I strongly advise against considering this establishment. The overall experience was exceptionally unfavorable.

4th visit. Unbelievable that monaco allows this low level of service to continue. Every visit terrible patient care, refuse to speak English, wait hours and hours. If their was any other option go there for better care. Shameful

The dr at tonight Emergency Care duty should be immediately fired and his licence taken away. He refused to examine me. He addressed me from the door of the office saying:” it’s 3 am there’s no dr to see you I’m not going to do anything for you, you go home and take paracetamol”. I try to answer “sir, a GP told me to come here, I was given 2 different antibiotics yesterday but the bacterial infection expanded” he interrupts me: “it doesn’t work cause it’s a virus”. I say “sir please examine me first to be able to say so, as the GP that saw me yesterday said it’s a bacterial infection and later on told me to go to hospital asap”. He aggressively says “bye bye” turns around and leaves me. At first when I came to the urgent care uni the receptionist said “in advance I can tell you that you won’t be lucky with the dr that’s on duty this night. He will not want to see you but I’ll try my best for you because I see your in lots of pain.” Clearly they have issues with this man, neither does he look like a dr nor does he act like one. Shockingly ethically irresponsible, rude and aggressive.

Used the hospital on three separate occasions now over past ten years, the most recent visit just a few weeks ago for non urgent intervention, found the experience excellent in all regards. Lovely rooms, I only had one other person sharing the recovery room. The room was clean and fantastic view over the ocean. Substantial breakfast, and full English speaking medical staff throughout, it doesn't get any better in my opinion.

All appointments always run behind the schedule. (Do they think that the patients have nothing else to do but to wait?) The secretaries often are arrogant. Constant change of time of appointments.

Great service! They were short staffed, so I had to wait 30 minutes, but since there was a queue there of older people in far more need of help, that was more than ok! I got away with my rather limited French, but both the nurse and doctor on duty were incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful! By far the best service of any hospital I have been too, and didn't have to pay anything which is incredible, certainly not the case in other Western Countries! Agree with other reviews though, you will need some minimal French in your pocket, but minimal is sufficient.

Pediatric clinic was fine, clean and tidy. Doctor and nurse trustworthy. They showed extra care and empathie on our case. They advised us, prescribed correct medicins and all went smoothly. We left from there relieved and with a solution. However, the secretery was uneducated and thus arrogant/unkind. Fanatic hater of international patients. Very surprising to hire unskilled personnel. Too bad as such people affect negatively hospital's profile and for sure they create problems.

During our stay at the maternite ppl were very kind and helpful. The private room has all you need and more. If you are vegan make sure you clarify to the kitchen personnel as you mind up with a half dish as in the photo. If you remove a steak they can add extra of something else.

They're rude and poorly staffed. Some doctors want money under the table. No way of knowing what the bill will be before a procedure, despite messaging everywhere indicating this is against their charter. One star is probably too mean as there are undoubtedly some kind conscientious and helpful doctors nurses and hospital staff. But it's about 50%. Many seem angry and resentful. Lot of bad life-threatening diagnoses over the years that I know of. You get the feeling many doctors have never opened a journal since they left medical school. Staff and patients smoke everywhere outside, nobody could care less - it stinks. You squeeze past moving cars with no pavement to get to the entrance, I've been hit by a taxi wing mirror before . If it can wait till you get back home, let it wait. Healthwise they get a B or C grade. Service and friendliness a D or E grade. But don't complain or they will kick you out and not treat you.

Good experience overall. Waiting time (3 hours) was longer than expected but everyone friendly and competent. Staff spoke English enough to communicate. Recommend!

I am writing to share a disappointing experience we had at your hospital on December 25, 2023, at approximately 6:00PM. My 10-month-old son was unwell, and we sought emergency assistance. Unfortunately, our experience at the information desk was distressing. The two ladies on duty were remarkably rude, and neither showed any concern for my son's condition. Despite our residence in Beausoleil, they insisted that we were not allowed in Monaco and pushed us to go to Lenval Hospital in Nice, France. We were willing to pay for services and clarification about our residence in Beausoleil, the staff did not listen, pushing us towards Lenval Hospital, but our pleas were ignored. I kindly request that you review the CCTV footage to better understand the situation and address this matter promptly. I believe in the importance of providing quality healthcare with empathy, and I hope this feedback contributes to improving your services.
